The Protein Bar

Great new owner! Fresh large serves, fruit salad salad amazing. Egg and bacon roll tasty. My toddler loved the hot chocolate, and coffee brilliant!

During early October, my boyfriend and I decided to go to The Protein Bar in Cronulla, 4 times. We caught the train down on a sunny day, I was keen to try their Pitaya Bowl. Every single time I went their they had "ran out" or "didn't have any today". My fifth experience I finally got the Pitaya Bowl. This was on a Sunday. Apart from the many Pitaya failures, each time we settled for 2 Acai Bowls (takeaway - but we ate in), I ordered them each time and every time the person serving would always suggestive sell. I offered a range of fruits and toppings such as coconut honey or normal, passion fruit and more. We sat outside together and our bowls came in under 10 minutes. They were great!! Exactly what I expected. I would definitely recommend going here for a healthy alternative. The bowl was really filling and very nutritious and healthy - as acai is a superfood. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time and would recommend to all ages. For those who don't know what "acai" is, well it originates from a type of palm tree and can be harvested into berries or powder. They look like little blueberries. Although a different taste. These berries are blended, or eaten. An acai bowl is like a smoothie with fruit ontop, it is a juicy superfood and very healthy. It's like a cross between all berries! Kind of chocolatey!
