Not a big fan of spicy food. But thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Had one of the banquets and rolled out full and satisfied. Waitress was top notch and did a great job all night. Would definitely come back.

Such a great late lunch, prawn pad Thai was authentic and yummy (prawns were huge), roti with peanut sauce was very good and big bag of prawn crackers. Worth the money 100%. Definitely will order again. Thank you
One of the best places to go for Thai!
Absolutely love their coconut rice!
In saying that all their food is amazing, love their curry puffs, rotti bread with satay sauce, would totally recommend to dine in or even takeaway :)
Came here for my dads birthday and we ordered massaman and Panang curries with a bunch of starters. Very “white person” ordering, but delicious nonetheless! The best part of the night was when the staff brought out three scoops of ice cream in a little bowl with candles in it and sang happy birthday to my dad with us. My parents come here pretty regularly, but still, that kinda thing doesn’t happen anymore!!! He was chuffed and had a big smile on his face. Cheers guys for making my dads birthday memorable 👏👏👏
We’ve pretty much done away with weekend cooking in our house and are all about takeaway. Particularly with all these scorching days we are staying well out of the kitchen and utilising Menulog. We tried out a new Thai place with relative success. I didn’t like the roti bread as it wasn’t as soft as it should be but my chicken pad satay was tasty enough. I tried some of the chicken cashew stir fry which was also quite satisfying. There’s a few other dishes there that I wouldn’t mind trying next time (pad honey sounds interesting) but husband wasn’t impressed enough to be a repeat customer
A quiet restaurant tucked away in a more recently forgotten area of the Croydon Main St precinct. Warmly greeted upon arrival in a restaurant that deserves more attention, with cosy decor & a wide selection of choices on the menu. As pictured, the Chicken Curry Puffs & Pad Satay with Coconut Rice were very nice; well presented & the flavour had a superb gentle kick. Above standard; will return!
Had dinner there last night to celebrate a few things with a group of friends and the staff were just fantastic. The chef kindly made us something special for the occasion. Thank you!
We've been to Thai Chaiyo a few times now and the food has never disappointed.

Excellent Thai Food at a really affordable price!!! I strongly recommend the massaman curry, as to me it was delicious!!! And the service was really good Thai Chaiyo is the kind of restaurant that I would like to come again any time.
That was satisfying ......
Thai-licious in outer Melbourne suburbia, hidden, quaint, unpretentious, pleasant service and just easily satisfying.
That's what we like about Thai food.
One of the local go-to Thai joints for our family, this place has always been pretty solid even though it's changed hands a few times. It's dropped a little a bit but it's still a reliable option for quality Thai food in the local area.
We were surprised to see that we were the only ones in the restaurant at 8:30pm on a Sunday night, the place was dead but we weren't phased.
The venue looks a little outdated with the old wooden style furniture and some random Thai inspired art work. The plates and bowls however were very nice and added a bit of colour and vibrance to the meals and the experience. Would of been terribly boring had the food been served on white plates and bowls.
For entree we ordered the curry puffs and decided to try one of the specials which was called the prawn twists which were $10. When they were brought out to our table, we were shocked to find 4 long spring roll-style pastries, we were definitely not expecting that, they did taste nice however they were not $10 worth. The curry puffs were a little soggy and not as a crispy as we would of liked either.
We then ordered the Laab Gai chicken mince salad, the garlic stir fried chicken and veggies and the mix veggie fried rice. All the main dishes were excellent and we could not fault them. All cooked well, with lots of flavour and generous serving sizes.
That last little oddity with the whole experience was the glasses that we were served our drinks in...they are the cola-cola glasses that were free giveaways from McDonald's! This was pretty strange and not very reflective of the food quality the served during the main meals!
The best Thai restaurant in the eastern suburbs. The friendly owners welcome you back so you feel like you are visiting friends for dinner. The food is absolutely delicious and very generous at a reasonable price,
Great to grab a meal before a movie at the Croydon Cinema across the street.
