The staff last night were not only helpful and professionally dressed, they were friendly and warm. The food was amazing, and when you consider the amount of food you get for the price you pay, it’s not even all that expensive either. One of the only places I’ve been that actually does a proper blue steak, I’d recommend Hoggies wherever you go!
After a careful scrutiny of all the restaurants that allowed chargeback to Quest, we decided on Hogs and we weren’t disappointed. The food was awesome, the chicken wings were just great and the chicken grande as the main was filling. The best was their curly and crispy fries. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone who love Ozzie food!
Just arrived from Sunshine Coast. Googled Dubbo Eateries and The Shire stood out as a place we could get to choose from a good variety of meals at a reasonable price. We were greeted by 2 lovely young ladies. Shown to a table and made to feel very welcome. We chose Steak and Veg and a Steak Sandwich. Delivered quickly and fantastic meals. This place was busy for a Monday night, busy is a great sign. The Owners were so lovely and sure made everyone feel incredibly comfortable. We recommend The Shire highly wether wanting a table for 2 or a place where everyone in a Family will find something that they will enjoy.

Excellent vibe and friendly atmosphere. Greeting was lovely and service very fast. Our meals were lovely, and even better they had brookvale ginger beer, which we love. Enjoyed some SA wine and were promptly looked after during our visit! Well done guys! You have lovely staff and we had a great time! 5 stars!
Staff were very attentive, friendly and did a great job not only at our table but every table around us. Meals were very good! We had steaks which were slightly undercooked but they were still delicious. Strongly recommend this place for a great atmosphere and meal.
From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted friendly and shown to our table, service all night was first class.
I shared the meat tower for two which was flawless and more than enough for two hungry eaters.
Chrissy took great care to listen and her help with our choice was great.
Will eat here again next time I’m in town.
Brilliant!! Delicious meals and great range on the menu. Owner is lovely and had a nice chat with my Dad and I. All staff were very accommodating and friendly and the service was quick. After the change in ownership (was previously a hogs breath), the decor was changed and now gives a more adult and relaxing atmosphere (although still kid friendly). Well worth a visit, will definitely be coming back next time we’re in Dubbo!!
Giving them 5 stars for their hospitality and great customer service. Waiting staff were quick on their feet, attentive and very pleasant. The place and ambience was good. Nice place to spend your evening. Food was alright. Prices were not too bad either.
Very homely, relaxed and intimate feel to the place. We were downstairs. Food was fantastic, about average sized portions and at pub pricing. Definitely worth a try, would definitely go back.
