Get the vegetarian Buddha bowl- it’s delicious! Also shredded pork was good just wasn’t dry as described on menu but till tasty. The cabbage dumplings were really yummy but needed a dipping sauce
I had doubts about trying out this place because of all the bad reviews but I honestly don’t know why some people have given this place such bad reviews, I personally had a great experience here, yes service was a bit slow but food came out fresh and tasty (definitely worth the wait) . Very traditional Chinese food, and the dumplings were juicy and fresh. Singapore noodles were nice and spicy, and my favorite was the toffee sweet potato and taro! I haven’t had this since I’ve been back from China and it’s a “must try”. I would definitely come back again without doubt!
Not usually a fan of sweet and sour pork, but the Sweet & Sour Pork here is done really well. Love that they use tender pork ribs in this dish, rather than pork cubes coated in a thick flour mixture. The sauce is authentic and well-balanced; not heavy on red colouring or tomato ketchup.
Some of the cold dishes are nice. A few favourites are the Cucumber Strips, Jellyfish with Cucumber & Peanut, and Ox Tongue in Chilli Sauce. Not a fan of their Preserved Eggs and Cucumber- there's a very dominant spice overpowering the dish.
Stir-fry dishes are generally tasty, just a bit oily. Eggplant dishes and braised pork belly are good. Dumplings- have had the pan-fried and steamed ones. Prefer the pan-fried ones over the steamed dumplings. Fillings are good, but steamed dumplings could be better if the skin is less doughy.
Service is friendly and efficient. The way the menu is presented is brilliant- images of dishes and brief descriptions of dishes are included in the menu. Lots of free parking space at the back.
