The foods are well prepared. Flavours are correct as Shanghai cuisine. I like the steamed barramundi although the fish scales are not entirely cleaned up. They are quite busy at night and orders may not be delivered timely so you need to chase for some orders, which is not really good but understandable.
Authentic Shanghainese cuisine. Had to wait a little bit for take away but worth it!!! Pan fried pork buns were phenomenal

Pretty good dumpling experience in this joint, it’s not overly crowded and the turnover looked quick, but we were still able to enjoy ourselves.
Food came quickly. The drunken chicken is strong and gives a good bitter kick. Chicken is not dry.
The xiao long bao is juicy and thin-skinned, but it’s not as hot as i liked. The shallot pancakes are crispy and not greasy.
My favourite is the chilli oil wontons, they were flavourful and meaty, but the chilli oil is not spicy enough.
Dandan noodles were really good and spicy, but we, of course, over ordered and packed that home for dinner.
Very reasonable price ($57 for 2 for 2 meals!) and good service, we like it.
Came here due to a groupon voucher. 25 dollars got us items in the image - the beef stir fry and vegetarian dumpling. We shared the dishes in the image, got a service of rice each and two soft drinks. Was it a large amount of food? No. Did we enjoy the meal and the atmosphere? Yes! Will we be back as full price paying customers? Yes!
Recommended place for some good Chinese with a modern a vibe in an lively strip of Eastwood.
Came here for dinner and it was quite busy for a Wednesday night. The food was pretty good. I enjoyed the fried rice the most and the dumplings were good as well.
Overall, not too shabby.

Taste of Shanghai is a name well known across Sydney. They have a number of different venues scattered across the city and suburbs. We were in Eastwood, a haven of good Asian cuisine, and decided to pay them a visit for a bite. We started with the spring onion pancake. If you haven’t had this before, you shouldn’t expect a traditional style of pancake. This version is crispy. It’s very tasty too. It comes cut up into segments making it easy to eat on its own or with other food.

Taste of Shanghai is a Chinese food staple in Eastwood that remains popular despite its tenure. It’s advised you arrive early as often there can be a line around dinner time. They are well known for their dimsim which is handmade in store. Their other dishes also taste great however the standout remains the dimsim.
We really enjoyed it the food, the wine list and the customer service! very happy, food is yummy and they had to my surprise a nice range of wine
Good Shanghainese food! Their Xiao Long Bao's are pretty decent although not the best.
I would recommend the rice cake dishes as well - they're one of my favourites and taste of shanghai does them pretty well.
The only downside is the price. Some of the dishes are way too overpriced for what they are and that's the only reason I would not give a 5/5
Excellent Fresh and tasty dumplings. You can actually watch them making them in the window.
Really good quality food in a nice environment.
Some of the side dishes may not be to everyone's taste though.
