In my opinion, this place is kind of underrated.
It's got some pretty good HK options plus some random Chinese options too. Just stick to the HK side and you'll be fine. Prices are cheap and service is quick so just drop by if you want a quick feed.
As a note, it is on the Korean side so don't get confused.
From what I can remember, this has been around for years. You can find pretty much all your typical Hong Kong Cha charn teng (Cafe) dishes here. My favourite is the baked rice dishes such as the beef brisket with Portuguese sauce and baked pork chop rice in tomato sauce. I saw they also have value sets which has a few options with soup of the day for a discount price.
Excellent value of money joint with lots of variety. We usually come here every month. This time we had the:
- OX sauce fried rice with pork chop (crowd favourite)
- Egg sauce fried rice noodle (kids favourite)
- Baked pork chop rice (HK style dish)
Good and tasty. Just come early and it tends to get filled up pretty quick, weekend or not!
I’d also recommend they stir fry eggplant with rice. Spicy (but not too much) with lovely soft pieces 🍆.
Extremely affordable and authentic Hong Kong cuisine. Highly recommend. Tomato sauce baked pork chop with fried rice, and lemon ice tea is my go to.
Being a Hong Konger in Sydney I liked this restaurant, spoke cantonese and shared a table with another group, like in hk, menu is in traditional chinese, had 港式西餐 for lunch under $15. 吉列雞扒餐+黑椒汁+湯+奶茶, chicken steak was good but is it just me, the black pepper favour is a bit too much, like other cha chaan teng’s black pepper, milk tea is good
Really good authentic Hong Kong style cafe serving good Cantonese food. Very similar in style to cafes in Hong Kong. We had the beef brisket soup noodle with special herbs, which was delicious. Also had chicken fried E-Fu noodles, which were also very good but a little bit chilli. The iced lemon tea is also very good.
There don't seem to be enough service for the number of patrons though so service can be a little patchy. Arrive early as the place does get very busy on the weekends
Whenever we are here, we always have a crowd. Cheap, quick eats and always tasty. After 2pm there are afternoon tea specials for $6 something served with a free hot beverage, or if you want a cold beverage it's 80c extra. It's not a very spacious restaurant, and you don't always receive the best service, but you really just come here for the cheap eats
Food is good and is fast to come out. Gets busy and a little noisy but worth it for the food. Has an extended range of food and it's great quality.
I really love this place due to its authenticity of Hong Kong style Cantonese food. Similar to its Chatswood restaurant, it offers great Hong Kong style milk tea that I enjoy and think it is the best I have tasted in Sydney. There is a lot of variety of food on offer. But one of them I especially like is the steak (Chicken/Pork Chop/Mixed BBQ) set menu. It consists of a soup as a start, the main, and a drink like those in Hong Kong. There is also a small additional charge if you change the hot drink for a cold or special drink.
Service: 5/10
Food : 7/10
Ambiance: 6/10
Value for money : 9/10
Very busy here.
But, the taste was pretty good and very classic .
Also, the prices are cheaper than someone else.
Anyway, must be recommended.
Cheap and cheerful food. Very honest advice from one of the younger staff on the dishes that are to be avoided and the recommended dishes. Appreciate that.
Food is generally authentic and good portioned. Deep fried items (e.g. fries) definitely have room for improvement. Pan fried dishes are good though.
If you’re looking for traditional Hong Kong style dishes, this is a must for you to try! The value for money means that I will come back again and again when I have my cravings.
What this place lacks in service though, they make up for in portion servings and taste.
French toast; Chicken cutlets with spaghetti; Pork chops with tomato, cheese and rice; Satay seafood fried rice
If you are after quick and cheap Chinese food this is the place to be! Very similar to a HK style cafe you’d find in HK!
Authentic, Hong Kong style experience. Tasty food at good prices, served quickly. Service is fast paced - don’t expect any niceties here!
Dirt cheap food thats tasty enough. Obviously a proper seafood restaurant has far better quality but at 3x the price.
Get beef brisket dishes as they have the biggest meat portions compared to chicken, pork, fish, or beef topside dishes.
Also get the borscht (luo song tang) - large size. less than $5 for a huge bowl of healthy tomato vegetable soup with some beef. Killer value.
ALSO stop complaining about the 'poor' service- its part of HK cha chaan teng culture that there is minimal service to keep the cost of your meal as low as possible. You cant hope to expect any service when youre paying this little for food.

The laksa is pretty average, a bit watery for my taste
