Coffee has definitely improved.
It's an old fashioned Cafè with nice staff and a simple menu. Food is well priced for the area. Unpretentious and good service
Edna's really doesn't look much from the outside but it does a nice, simple brunch menu and an enjoyable range of cakes and biscuits. Ingredients are of average quality, but it's very affordable and definitely offers good value.
Edna's Place makes beautiful coffees and their food is always great value for money. Unfortunately I rarely dine in at Edna's Place due to the speed at which their lunch menu items are prepared.
I work along Glen Huntly Rd and only have 30 minutes for lunch. The last two times I have ordered a BLAT sandwich, and despite having been assured that the meal will be prepared in less than 10 minutes, I always find the preparation much longer and the eating process stressful to say the least.
I still give this cafe 3.5 stars as I do enjoy the quality of the food and the service. Edna's Place is possibly not the best lunch cafe for a hurried person like myself, but it is a place I recommend for shoppers or anyone looking for a quiet lunch spot with friends.
Being a gourmand, I tried several places and the best, hands down, is this little unpretentious gem.
The breakfast wrap is to DIE for. Seriously. Coffee's great too, haven't had a bad brew or feed since starting becoming a (on average) fortnightly regular.
Delicious. Lovely little place to dine at. Very quaint inside. Great menu, the European Wrap was really yummy. Lots of flavour and a generous serving. Would dine here again
Nice but a bit musty... Called in for coffee this afternoon. Very friendly and the food we saw looked nice..coffee very acceptable..
Only two tiny gripes...the glasses (well latte cups) for the water were still very warm (straight out of the dishwasher warm) and they might need to check for rising damp as the room had a distinct mouldy smell to it.
Other than that...Id happily return and check out their food!
Did someone say heaven?. As soon as i walked through that back door this place was full of energy! The staff were so friendly and i could feel the goodness of the vibe trickle into my body. I ordered the 3 star (AKA manliest breakfast going around :p), the rye bread was toasted to perfection, the sausage squirted with excitement and those eggs were to die for!
Great experience and one ill never forget.
Great service, good coffee. Gotta have the Cajun chicken again. Definitely coming back next Sunday after a big night. Love the atmosphere
Chicken Burgers. Ate here on a Sunday arvo when it was quite quiet. Chicken burgers were delicious served with a side of well seasoned chips for $12.90. would eat here again.
Try the chicken baguette!. I'm a regular for the chicken baguette, it's 10/10 yum yum
