Had an amazing Father's Day dinner here! The staff presented my father with a block of chocolate and a scratchy when we sat down which was super lovely! The food was tasty, and decent portions. We had the rump, soup, ravioli and fish- all beautiful! Coffee was good afterwards also. Staff were lovely.
Chicken parmigiana with veg is great! $13-14. Vegetables are delicious, the chips are perfect and the chicken parmigiana is perfectly satisfying. Simple quick meal that's somewhat nutritious for cheap eat out. No complaints except for the $1 price rise.
Old pub that is hard to miss on the hwy.....just look out for the large Victoria Bitter sign. Parma wasn't cheap but was large and tasted pretty good. Lots of car parking out the back. Not a fan of the sports bar but the bistro is much better presented.
You can't miss this place as you drive up the highway (it's the big old building with the Victoria Bitter sign). A big car park if you drive down Glen Huntley Road. The food itself is better than average pub food. Public bar out the back is more of a sports bar so it can get rowdy sometimes. Nice bistro out the front.
Nice pub food, there was a function on and they had oragnised our table right next to it. Eventually got moved thankfully. Portions were good but bit expensive.

Calamari tender, nice salad & ships with sauce and aloi without asking in little pots.
Pork belly with scallops praised highly.
flat head tails , ravioli & a chicken dishes all enjoyed.
We loved the pub & stayed till closing, bottle of wine, a nice drop $30 no complaints! Other drinks good prices as well!
We will be back, a pub where you can have conversation without being drowned out by music.

Well, I had to give it another shot – I ordered a burger at the ‘Wick… I know what you must be thinking – but I feel I should put this into perspective, there has been a noted improvement in the quality of the meals coming out of the kitchen at the ‘Wick over the last few months. Honestly. And I reckon the fact that they’re no longer using frozen pre-packaged chicken schnitzels from Coles for the parmas might just have something to do with it… To be fair, the steaks are generally quite good, especially for the price. Unfortunately in the past, the same could not be said for the burgers – however, I was willing to give them one more shot. So I wandered up to the bar on Monday before Trivia and ordered the burger – The burger at the bar comes with bacon, egg, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion on a toasted bun with a side of chips and salad. I counldnt cook a meal cheaper at home - and theres are no dishes to clean up! Excellent Value for Money!. My husband and I eat the the wick almost every Thursday night, its our thing. We live around the corner, and to be honest its a no frills pub that needs a massive renovation but the food is good.
We get a 250gm rump steak - with chips, gravy, a glass of wine and a bread roll - ALL FOR 14 BUCKS! Im sorry but thats so cheap. You get good bang for buck here and we dont have to clean up! We've been down the road at Grosvenor on steak night and since the chef has gone the chips and steak and salad are extremely average. You seriously cannot beat the wick. Its a hidden treasure in bayside....just love it...just given them a chance.
Pretty good for a pub. Seven of us hit the dining room. The service is friendly but not that fast, we all ordered at the same time yet half the table's meals arrived twenty minutes later. Garlic bread undercooked on one side and semi-burned on the other. However when the mains arrived they were great -had the pork and scallops - great pork, melted in my mouth. Three nice juicy scallops, and a good serve of mash and vegetables. Others had the chicken butterfly parma which looked good and the pie which was nice. Watched a few steaks go out and they looked good. All meal sizes on the large side so you won't go hungry.
Great service, friendly staff. The food has improved a hundred fold and I am super excited about the weekly specials. Would be good to see a steak sandwich on the menu and then it would hit all my pub needs. Would and do take all my friends here for a pint and awesome food.
We have been coming here for 7 years and absolutely love this place. The staff are always so friendly. The atmosphere is cosy and the food is delish! Grab yourself a Lamb shank - you’ll thank me later!

Elsternwick Hotel is a regular casual night out for our family, both in the bistro and in the public/sports bar if there’s a game of footy or trivia on, plus the odd game of pool. Food is very good and well priced, favourites stay on the menu and new/special meal options give good options for variety.
Staff are always friendly and treat us as regulars throughout the venue, Patrons in the Sports bar have their fun but are always respectful of our family. We often come with friends and family, and have never been disappointed - with the food or the friendly service.
Great venue for a casual night out that’s quiet enough for table conversation, with good music in the background. Give it a go!
I had dinner last night here with my good friend. I had Roast Beef with all the trimmings - the best roast I've had in years! Delicious! This was followed by dessert of Apple and berry crumble with pure cream - also delicious! Thanks to the friendly staff. This pub is a local icon! Don't change a thing.
We had Dinner here yesterday, kudos to the chef!! Never expected classy food from a pub styled restaurant, we ordered from the special board and all the meals are fantastic.. literally people around us kept on staring at our food because of the delicious smell that was floating all over the place.. soo worth the price... definitely going back!
This is my absolute favorite restaurant. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! , my family had dinner today, restaurant is full with people and still quality of the meals are outstanding.
Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in
My mum and I had a lovely dinner at this place. The conversation, in particular, was excellent. The food was also good. As I write this review, a miscellaneous guitar rock solo is playing in the background and a guy is coughing. Come here for great conversation.
