I was lucky enough to find The Bake House to fulfill my craving for a curry pie and a jam and cream donut after returning to Australia. Absolutely delicious. The curry steak pie was perfectly cooked, sturdy pastry packed full of delicious minced meat, veggies and curry gravy. They even saved a frozen one for us to take home, complete with cooking instructions. The jam and cream donut was just how it should be - huge! With fresh whipped cream, tasty strawberry jam and fluffy donut. My mum got a vanilla slice with fresh cream and custard and loved it. The coffee was great too. They're using bamboo cutlery too, so extra points for that :)The ladies serving were so helpful, kind and responsive. An all round excellent experience. Thanks girls!
I think this is the beat chocolate eclair I have ever had.
The three ladies I was with also enjoyed their lemon meringue tart, caramel donut and apple turnover

Delicious whole Apple Strudel . Basically a Takeaway Café , but there is seating & tables on the footpath. Can definitely recommend a visit.
Took my kids here for a snack. Very busy with a lot of customers. Bought apple strudel and custard tart. Strudel good and tart was ok. Prices were ok. Forgot to take a photo before the kids demolished theirs hence only half a strudel left. :)
Great little town in the Main Street is this wonderful bakery with the BEST PIES ever. The pastry was soft and flaky I had the beef curry it was delicious just the right heat. Johns pepper steak pie was the same. Served at just the right temp and well filled and meaty. The passion fruit cheese cake slice was perfect to go halves in it was light tasty and not to sweet. The girls serving were friendly and helpful. We have to say it’s well worth the detour of the Bruce hwy if your up this way
Reading some of the more harsh reviews posted here I wondered if we're talking about the same place?
We own a small independent supermarket and know so well how some people take issue with everything, if only we could critique them back.
Visiting from the Southern Highlands on market day we spied a beautiful looking very large 'beesting' cake.
It was stunning and the price at under $12.00 was incredibly low.

Good that they have eco cups, but better would be if they had eco lids as well (and a recycle bin for them). My coffee was good with a great apple turnover. Wife's muffin was "OK" 🤷
