Blue Lips Fish And Chips (takeaway)

By far the best takeaway I’ve had in years! Chips were cooked perfectly and the batter on the Goldband Snapper was fantastic, you didn’t lose the taste of the fish in it. Beef Burger with the Lot was incredible and the beef patty was amazing! Very worth the cost & the service was really lovely too!

This is the better of the two fish and chip shops in town. Came here thrice during my stay. Lovely lady at the front counter.

Specials vary based on what fish they have, and prices do too. I’ve seen $15 up to $29.
Ordered the Cajun grilled amberjack ($19), came with 2 fresh, spiced and smoky fillets of fish, well cooked and large serve of chips on the side. Great value. Got grilled barramundi ($15) on another occasion, lemon scented and beautifully cooked again with crispy chips. Got another just serve of chips ($5) another time and again huge serving and crunchy and hot. They do chips well here. Fish can be on the small side, about half the size of the snapper fillets from my favourite fish and chip shop in Perth (Brighton Fish Supply) but the rurality of Exmouth drives the price up for food in general in the town.

Would recommend calling ahead to order as when it gets busy food can take up to 40 minutes. Came at 5.40 one night and came back at 6.20 for my order. Came at 5.00 another and got food at 5.15.

I also recommend getting in here early, ordering takeaway and driving up to Vlamingh Head lighthouse to watch the sun set and humpbacks swimming past whilst eating some beautiful food.
