Late lunch on a wednesday never tasted so good!
We had the open steak sandwich, and the pea soup.
Both were superb. Great service, maintaining the old school vibes.

Eating Away Melbourne

Cute little cafe. Was recommended by a friend so paid a visit on a week day night. Night started quiet but it did get busier on the night.

Garlic bread was nice and crunchy, love a crunchy garlic bread. Calamari salad was really nice, possibly one of the best calamari I have ever had. Main I had the chicken risotto and it was so nice! My friend's prawn spaghetti didn't seem to impress. Dessert was just a cake in the cake display and it was ok. Will be back for the yummy risotto again!

Enjoy It

Used to pop in to Mario’s a couple of times a week when I lived round the corner, always superb service and great consistent dishes, its not such a regular haunt these days now it’s a touch further away but lunch over the Easter break made me realise how good it is and that I should make the effort to pop in more often :-) The Amatriciana was perfect and went down all the better with a couple of reds. Both Mario’s on duty today was a pleasure to say hello, have missed the place :-)
