I popped into this lovely patisserie for some lovely cakes, as I was lured by the appetising treats in the window. This place is a little old school, but the quality of the cakes is top notch, and the service is always excellent.
My latest visit involved an almond frangipane tart that was fragrant with a crispy pastry case. The cherry ripe slice is what really caught my eye, and it really does taste like the chocolate bar. Absolutely delicious and definitely a great choice.
Smith's Cakes is always a good option on this busy strip, and it's wide selection of sweets makes it the perfect spot to drop in for morning or afternoon tea.
Smith’s Bakery is a totally authentic Italian cafe and what a gift that it still exists amongst all the hip cafes on this strip. I absolutely love going here when I visit Fitzroy, a little taste of Sicily with the most delicious cakes and pastries, a lovely family run atmosphere and coffee Italian style.
Best cannoli around but it has to be because a sicilian makes them. Great sweets with so many you cannot find anywhere else. Head down check it out and pick it up. a cannoli that is. Complimenti
I've been here a few times throughout the years and I've always enjoyed the traditional Italian sweets. Today I ordered the ricotta cannoli. I loved my cannoli because the shell was still crunchy and the filling was the perfect amount of sweetness and it had the traditional candied fruits. The lady working here was also really nice. I must bring my friends here for cannoli.
HOMG. Do you like doughnuts? This is the place. Also if you like delicious pasta. This is the place. Old mate complaining about the coffee - we're in coffee central pick your favourite but come here for cakes and all the doughnuts. I shouldn't even be telling you all about this. This is local gem! Run by the sweetest Italian famigilia! BENE, bloody primo bene!
