What a find 149Grill is. Been walking past thsi place hundreds of times, went in last night. Went with two of my office colleagues - but were we all impressed? You bet. Food was excellent - Beef in burgers was succulent and juicy - truly flame-grilled tasty - real chicken breast grilled cubes in Nachos and slow cooked beef chunks (far better than most pulled beef chunks) were fantastic... for us all it is going to be our favourite regular eat-out/hide-out place from now on. Well done this humble family. Rest assured we will be back soon with more colleagues.
Just wanted to let people know this place called 149Grill made fantastic beef burgers last night. My Waltzing Wicked (Beef Burger) @ $9.90 was extraordinarily tasty and fresh. Their Buffalo Wings also @ $9.90 ( for 4 pieces) were uniquely special. Will be deifinite;y going back to try more.
Heard and read about their Buffalo Wings... Tried last night... AMAZING. Could not agree more with another reviewer they have put link of on their website 149grill.com.au. The experience is simply heavenly.
what a great little eating place. I am amazed that foodies have not yet found this place. There was only one table occupied when we went in, but fantastic food and very good service. The burritos are beyond belief - Fab Fajita with slow smoked beef was five star (5*) and the tex-Mex tango with a speciual chilli jam - a killer. One of us had Texan Melt (double beef + cheese) and he said was superbly well done perfect burger, as it should be. Fried battered brownies were to die for! rich oozing with the melty choc.
Location - not so good and especially with no foot traffic but fit-out outstanding. very well thought out, must visit place for both ambience and food. Be brave and adventurous, go in there and try. You will want it to be yours for keeps. We are definitely coming back soon. Congrats 149Grill - you won us all last night!
Must say very classy burger joint – usually found other side of town. We were there for about 40 minutes, beautiful service and enjoyed perhaps the finest food in a casual setting – my Californian Chopped Salad with melt in the mouth Beef was surprisingly delicious. Absolutely honest and fresh food. You get a choice to add slow roasted beef or grilled chicken breast with the salad... would love to eat this food at least once a week. Pity I don’t live in the area.
We had also ordered Nachos with added grilled chicken which was similarly fresh and yet cheesy and mouth-watering. The joint itself is a cosy nook to eat out but not that busy. I wish the ‘nutcase’ who spent so much in Footscray, could come to St Kilda.

Ordered half a chicken with spicy chipotle and chips. Food was most definitely freshly cooked and the chipotle sauce was delicious. Wish they had salads as a side than a main thoughWill be back
Surprisingly delicious...quarter chicken was succulent and my partner rated the mushroom burger as more homely than 8Bit. Nachos were fresh, but the best thing was they nailed the seasoning on the chips. Nice service staff and inexpensive.
The location and fit-out is not as inviting as it could be, but as we ordered take-away it wasn't an issue. Recommended for a quick meal.
Went in this afternoon for lunch. Fresh and delicious burger. My daughters loved the kiddy burger meal, I had Southern Melt with added Egg. Yum! Clean place and friendly staff. Definitely going there again soon!
Great new find for chicken !. Dropped in for lunch, and thought we would try out the burgers, Tex-Mex and Camarada, and fries. Both burgers were large and delicious with juicy chicken breast and great balance of flavours. Struggled to finish the fries do to the size of the burger, but again they were flavorsome and nice and thick. Service was really pleasant and attentive as well. Will definitely be back to try a chicken meal.
Has limited hours of operation. We've seen it lots of times but can't seem to coordinate getting there. When I did, it was good. Tasty burger, and with a wide selection of Mexican food. I went with my boys, and they both liked their cheese and no cheese burgers. I gave four stars because the chips were cold on the top, and hot on the bottom.
Wonderful service by what seems to be a family-run restaurant. Beautiful and carefully planned decor. Background music is a bit out dated and loud and wasn't to my taste but it wasn't a major problem. We had Groupons for the burger and milkshake deal. I am moderately lactose intolerant and there was no soy or lactose-free option for the milkshake which was surprising in this day and age. The food brought out was delicious, but our party of three was sad to realise the small size of the burgers - this is probably more a side effect of being used to massive greasy burgers at most other places, but disappointment is disappointment. The bread used was very light and fluffy, the types of bread rolls you can find at the supermarket so not very substantial. The contents of the burger: the burger itself was great, as were the other ingredients. The two lettuce leafs were a bit awkward compared to usual shredded lettuce I am used to. We were glad we ordered sides of chips not included in the groupon because, even with the chips and a whole milkshake as well as the burger, we were far from full. I am torn writing this review because I think the intention is great, but the execution did not meet the standards set by other local burger places. These days, with one burger a customer expects to be full as if they have had a whole meal which was certainly not the case at 149 Grill.

FOOD IS TO DIE FOR!!!! I love not only the perfectly done burgers but also the amazing Nachos. Definitely try the salted caramel milkshakes because they give me life😊😊 10/10 definitely coming back
First visit and was warmly welcomed. Very nice burger and herb spices chips, with a kid burger, chips and drink option also good value. Very well priced beer.
A cool little place, veggie burger and milkshake was really good and the staff very friendly and quick. Will be back :)
