Great half way point to meet the family for lunch. We all had different meals. The food was ready in good time, all meals looked & tasted great. Good value & friendly service. Plus lots of quirky little gifts to check out. Now we've found it, we'll no doubt be back.

What a great surprise, friends invited to this humble establishment for lunch, had a great steak barque with a lovely fresh home cut chips and fresh salad.
Happy to drive for the 1hr for the quality and freshness

For a little cafe in a country town, their risotto can keep up with many new and fancy cafes in a capital
City. They even grow herbs in the backyard and pick the herbs as you order the food. Any get any fresher than that.

If you're in the area, you really should try it.

Absolutely beautiful food. We drive an hour from the other side of Toowoomba just to have lunch here, always delicious. The lamb pasta is absolutely to die for.

Nice though pricey. Service 7/10 Nice and friendly staff
Ambience 7/10 Lots of cute little items and decor but it seemed a tad messy
Coffee 6/10 Long black: good aroma though it was slightly burnt. My cup and saucer had marks them and I wasn't sure if they were clean
Food 7/10 Open Salmon Fillet burger with homemade fries - the salmon fillet was cooked perfectly - crispy skin with pink juicy centre. The fries were buttery and gave a great homemade taste despite being slightly oily - some paper blotching would be nice. Overall taste wasn't too bad thought the seasoning was a tad too sweet and salty.

Remark: Sunday lunch. After having been told about this place by my uni advisor who is a local, I went to the cafe with a mate to give it a try. It was a windy day but the outdoor seating was still hidden away from the gust. The price was on the expensive side. Even though it is a nice place, it is not very friendly to my wallet.

Adore!. I absolutely adore dining at Cafe 4342. I have never been disappointed by food or service. The atmosphere inside and outside is superb. I thoroughly recommend dining here.

Well worth a visit. We were travelling from Toowoomba to Brisbane (trip originated in Darwin) and decided to get off the highway to try and find something other than a roadside cafe and roadhouse. Gorgeous cafe in Forrest HIlls just past Gattonwith, fresh food and a gift shop. We arrived after 2:30 pm and they were still happy to serve lunch. Great friendly service. I had the Mediterranean salad and my friend the smoked salmon salad

A really lovely cafe located in Forest Hill. Love that it has eclectic gifts and is the local post office as well. Food was delicious and the service was fantastic. They also make their own cakes. I can vouch for the scones, soft and fluffy served with either strawberry or rosella jam. Easy to make a reservation and air-conditioned inside.

Cafe 4342 with its amazing food and fantastic staff is always a pleasure. The chef's vision ending on a delightfully plated dish starts with his creative expertise in pairing foods. Last night I had the prawn and scallop risotto, delighted that all of the prawn was used knowing prawn heads enhance the flavour. Another great night with you all and fabulous food

As far as I’m aware, the best country cafe between Toowoomba and Brisbane. Discovered as a great, cozy place to meet up with my parents midway. Coffee is fantastic. The food menu is delicious, creative but not too wild. A good balancing point for all types of fussy eaters. Staff are always welcoming and the gift shop/post office is worth a look.
