Really delicious food with great vegetarian/vegan choices. We tried the sweet pancakes for dessert tonight and altogether it was the best meal I’ve had in ages. Stoked to have such a great place in our neighborhood.
This is the most fresh, delicious, fast and decent priced Japanese I've had in years! Such a nice little courtyard to eat in, as well as super speedy delivery/takeaway (I'm talking 5 mins wait time max!). The salad is always crisp and fresh and the salad dressings and sauces are fresh made and mostly all GF or vegan, the chicken katsu, chicken teriyaki, karaage, miso eggplant and spring rolls are meals we would eat over and over again...will be back for more this week�
When you discover V-Bentoya, you will keep going back. The food is fresh, healthy, cheap and so delicious. It is hard to decide what to eat, as I want to eat every dish. The home style food is obviously prepared and cooked with love and skill, there is nothing mass produced to be found here. The smells and the food remind me of eating seasonal food in my grandmothers kitchen as a child, so wholesome. The staff are so kind and friendly and the service is perfect. The outside of V-Bentoya looks like scrap yard and it is located in an industrial area and is possibly the reason this place isn't packed every night. But don't let this put you off, as it is a hidden gem 2 minutes from central Fremantle, BYO, heaps of free parking and worth walking through the entrance into a Japanese cuisine inspired wonderland :)
This place is a gem, the food is delicious, fresh, and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend the miso eggplant dish, bulgogi bowl, and chilli pork belly.
Love this little gem! I get take out every time I’m staying in East Freo. Had the most delicious Miso Eggplant tonight. Beautifully cooked, so velvety with a fabulous side salad with a scrumptious carrot (?) dressing which sounds boring but is amazing! The teriyaki tofu is also great!
Love this place, the food is simple, fresh and tasty!! The highlight and most relevant to me - they use gluten free soy sauce and they are only around the corner from my house!!
My partner and I finely got round to trying this place out, early Saturday evening (April 28th). The multiple vegan options on offer at this establishment had me wanting to visit for months. The prices here are so reasonable, plus it’s BYO. Service is prompt and friendly. The food is delicious. To start we shared the homemade tempeh gyoza, ended up ordering a second portion because they were so good. I’m a big kimchi fan so couldn’t go past there homemade vegan kimchi, I wasn’t disappointed. For mains my parter went for the vegan miso ramen. I went for a miso soup and the teriyaki tofu, this came with rice and salad. All the food was amazing and I’m looking forward to trying all of the vegan options on future visits.
Great place. Cheap and really tasty food. Relaxed feel and don’t be deterred by the location. Beef and chicken dishes were top quality. We will be back for sure.
A classic case of not judging a book by its cover. Put simply, the food here is to die for. Caters well to different dietary requirements and service is quick and friendly too. Highly recommended, a real hidden gem!
