We didn’t find this hotel until our last couple of nights in Fremantle. So sorry we hadn’t found it earlier. The first time we went we had an unfortunate experience but management was fantastic. Food was terrific and so reasonable and service great. Would recommend this place highly.
Had lunch here, i had steak with garlic sauce.. had my steak medium rare.. realy nice and juicy.. garlic sauce was pretty good! Pricing was decent... enjoyed my meal!
Orgered the Wild Caught Fish and Chips you wont be disappointed if you order this, great size and great flavours! The hand cut chips are fantastic.
We have been here a few times for the $15 Steak Night. The steak has always been cooked perfectly(medium rare is how I like it), has been tender and juicy, comes with a serve of hand cut fries and their hombre salad. At $15, how can you possibly go wrong!
Been here quite a few times now for a feed. They might just do the best BBQ ribs in Perth, the tenderness is stupidly good and the flavour is perfect. Nachos are another great meal and they hit the spot well. Never had a bad meal here. Food is good, drinks are good and the staff are fast and friendly.
Came in for a quick beer and meal. Friend had the steak sandwich and I just had a small bowl of veggies. Food was lush, every smell from the kitchen had us drooling.
Beer wasn't cheap however and was $12 for a 330ml mango beer. Next time I'll look more closely 😂 atmosphere was great and really nice decor! Will deffo come back for a pizza!
Easily the best steak in Freo. Cannot fault the Newport Galley food - this has become our new go to in Freo (and we are locals)!

My partner and I dined here last Saturday night. I had the Ploughman's Steak sandwich and Paul had the 500gm steak. They were not just good - they were perfect. I can honestly say it was the best steak sandwich I have ever eaten - or eaten most of - it was so big. My partner's steak was also amazing, perfectly cooked and the chips wer divine.
We personally thanked the chef - it isn't often that pub food inspires me to do that. I would recommend these two dishes to anyone carnivorous as they were not only delicious but reasonably priced.
Delicious Family Lunch. My family and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at The Newport Galley today. We used a Groupon voucher and had steak with mushroom sauce, wedges and salad all round....very enjoyable. I recommend trying the Rum Cocktail, "Perfect Storm." The atmosphere at the The Newport Galley is relaxed and casual and the young lady singing added an extra nice touch. We will definitely be returning.

Really good tasty pub food with a twist.. Really tasty food,large serves,and almost everything on the menu is under$20.
It's great value!, lots of nice beers on tap and you can buy wine from the bottle shop on site and only pay bottle shop prices plus a small corkage fee,so there is lots of choice for food and wine.
We really enjoyed our food,it's all really fresh and tasty.
The great thing is you can eat in any part of the pub,so if a band is playing,or a footy game is on you can eat and not miss a minute of the action.
The Alfresco is nice in the evenings.
Highly recommend it, give it a try.
Nice atmosphere, different band rooms, from blues to techno. Great venue! Plenty of beers on tap. Smack band in the cafe strip in Fremantle. Perfect for parties, like engagement events, 21st birthdays. Really friendly staff.
Hidden Gem. You hardly notice this place walking down the terrace. It is certainly a lot bigger than it's street frontage suggests. Typical pub food, but we'll presented and cheap!! $10 for a steak. Most other selections on the menu were similar. Beer is ice cold as it should be. Very friendly bar staff. Can't fault it. Highly recommended if you're looking for somewhere to have lunch.🍻🍻
The Newport hotel has a lovely atmosphere and charm, old style with a good vibe. Attended a performance of a singer/guitarist. The sound quality was fantastic and the bar persons were so lovely. There was a lack of signage for the event but we eventually found it. Would recommend for a drink, gig and food.
Great value for dinner for its daily special dinner. Tuesday was a steak+fries for $10
Great vibe for a Sunday! Food was excellent and kitchen staff were super friendly and keen to fix any issues (we accidentally got the wrong pizza so they gave us a free one). Bar staff were great and cocktails were well mixed. Overall a really good experience.

Taste was great, service was good, ambiente looks crazy nice and an extra free chips!
