The pizzas are delicious and made with quality, fresh ingredients. We shared a pizza and two salads between two people but could easily have finished another pizza.

Soumah is a beautiful, boutique winery in the Yarra Valley. With stunning views, delicious wines, and great food, you really can't miss this stop along the wine route! We had a reservation for lunch but arrived early to do a wine tasting. Unfortunately, it was not at the most opportune time, as there was a HUGE group (24 ppl) that had just arrived as well. Luckily the staff handled it perfectly and did our tasting alongside the group with extra care and attention, which we appreciated. They have a great selection of wines, ranging from traditional Australian style wines (Pinot Noir) to Italian style wines (Nebbiolo). We thoroughly enjoyed both the Pinot and even more so the Nebbiolo - it took me straight back to vineyards in Italy!
After our tasting, we were seated within the closed patio, which was so bright and lovely, with an excellent view of the vineyard. A waitress promptly came over and answered our questions regarding the menu and provided some recommendations. We started with the Rotolo, which was stuffed with pumpkin, spinach, & herbed ricotta, in a lemon butter sauce. This was sinfully delicious, with the beautiful sweetness from the pumpkin and richness of that sauce. Next, we got the Patate pizza with shaved potato, taleggio cheese, & rosemary walnut crumb on a garlic base. We had never had a potato pizza and questioned the waitress upon her suggestion, but boy, were we pleasantly surprised! It was really tasty! All of the toppings worked harmoniously together, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite!
Soumah is a great place for lunch in the Yarra Valley - highly recommend!
The pizza and pastas were absolutely delicious! Being a winery, I wish they helped us pair the wines with our food, but we made a great choice on our own. The pizzas did have some black sand-like specs on the bottom from the oven base, but were nonetheless tasty. Lovely day trip up here, but would like to try some other ones next time.
Our Woodfire pizza was spot on and just what you need after trying wines in the region!! The space it rustic and warm our long table was perfectly positioned looking over the vines! Great for larger groups. Give the Pinot, Tutto Bianco and the Barchetta a try! Service was a bit average.
Perfect day for a drive out of Melbourne. Wine tasting and knowledge of wine by the gentleman serving us was great. Food was exceptional. Views amazing! Would recommend. Happy to come back.
Great little winery that ticks all the boxes. Once my partner and I had finished sampling the great wines on offer, we enquired about lunch availability. It was a busy Sunday, but the staff went out of their way to accommodate us (even without a booking). We decided to order two glasses of Soumah Pinot Noir but, upon suggestion from the staff, decided to be more economical and order a bottle and take the leftovers home (if we must!) We shared a mushroom bruschetta for entree; absolutely divine. The smoky mushrooms mixed with toasty bread and creamy salted ricotta was a match made in heaven. We both chose the slow cooked lamb shoulder with peas and ricotta gnocchi for main. When it arrived I was a bit dubious; the portion looked fairly small but it was rich and filling. Prompt service, open fire at the cellar door and excellent food - we'll be back.
(Ok I’ve been super lazy with various excuses/reasons such as visiting family, going back to the UK, working full time blah blah blah… There is now a ridiculous amount of backlog so please bear with me!). HOME STRETCH. Last stint of the road trip, and where better to end it than squeezing in a visit to the gorgeous Yarra Valley. Trattoria D’Soumah was a little hide away gem recommended by the blueberry lady!

The staff are in love with their wines and talking to you about every aspect of the process. Their excitement about wine and the Yarra Valley make you excited about wine!
My first visit, many years ago, captured my heart. A beautiful, intimate setting with a fresh, Italian style menu makes for the perfect day. There are wines for every taste and even those, such as myself, who aren't big on white wines will enjoy their Chardonnay (the Yarra Valley's standard grape variety).
Over the years I have brought many unsuspecting visitors here and everyone walks away with a smile on their face and a box full of wines to share at their next dinner party.

Great food great wine great views. Have ben twice, never disappointed. The pasta was amazing, scallops delicious and perfectly cooked and tiramisu Morrish. Will definitely return 👍

One of those places you'd leave nothing behind... Wine was divine (or should I say The-wine)... Pizza was good, not the best but nonetheless good... View was as gorgeous as the wine... With helpful staff

Relaxed vibe, very friendly and personable service, delicious wines (especially their Brachetto), tasty food (we enjoyed their special four-cheeses pizza and their king prawns appetizer) and pretty outlook over the vineyard :)
Honestly one of the best places to eat in the Yarra Valley. The pizza is delicious, the mains are great and every single side/entree is epic. Its great for vegetarians too.
Every time I’m in the Yarra I make sure to stop in for lunch and the problem I have come across every time is that I drop any plans I had the following day so I can go again to Soumah for lunch.
Its the views , it’s the food and don’t even get me started on their extensive range of wines. Oh and the staff are wonderful! I’ll be back
