When Im in need of a Persian fix...this is my fave spot in Canberra. The food is prepared with great care and love so the longer than usual wait time is well worth it. Besides, you can snack on some great dips and bread while you wait and take in the ambience of the place.

Bir de mutfak olarak İran mutfağının Türk mutfağına uzak olmaması, aşağı yukarı tanıdık lezzetler olması bizi mutlu etmeye yetiyor ☺️ kesinlikle bundan sonra gideceğimiz mekanlar arasında. Fiyatlar uygun. Biz iki kişi için 70$ hesap ödedik. Porsiyonlar oldukça büyük. Personel ilgili.
Having lived with an Iranian who cooked authentic dishes, I must say the food at Saffron is exquisite, and authentic. The buffet on sunday nights is a great way to sample all the different dishes. Highly recommend it. The service is also high class and owned & managed by a lovely Persian couple

Great Persian Restaurant. As a Persian I try to check out all Persian restaurant that I hear about. While in Canberra, I was keen to check the Saffron Room out and I was presently surprised with great food and atmosphere.
We love it!. The food is so tasty, full of flavor and good value. Saffron Room has been a fantastic introduction to Persian food.
This restaurant is a favourite for my husband and I, though we live far from it, the owners are very friendly and they welcome you as if they are welcoming you to their own house, the service is excellent and the food is to die for. Highly recommended!

A group of sixx of us were greeted by the owner who guided us through each dish as though we were guests in his own house. The word delicious doesn't do justice to the flavours we experienced. None of us are Canberrans but we all agreed we would travel from Sydney just to repeat last weekends middle eastern feast!
We had to wait 45 mins for our entree and another 30 mins for our mains after our waiter took our order 25 minutes after we arrived. The seating was nice but felt a bit shopy as there were tinned goods on display for purchase as well. However, the staff very friendly and the food was delicious. Despite the wait times I do think it was worth the wait and we will be back again.
The best persian restaurant in Australia. My mum used to tell me when I bite my tongue accidentally while I am eating "it's because the food is yummy!" And I did tonight.

Great taste and quantity. The food were delicious and service was good. We tried soup, kebab and seafood dishes. Loacation is excellent , near the Yerrabi pond.
This place has some good kebab meats and are served with rice and salad.
Trusting the reviews, we decided to try this place on mother's day. Were not disappointed at all. Beautiful food, amazing chicken kebabs. Great service and the owner lady was very kind to hand a box of biscuits to my little daughter. Cheers!
This place is truly unique. I believe the owner couple used to trade in antiques, then converted most of the store to a restaurant. It has a sort of quaint elegant charm to it.
The Persian food is delicious with pretty generous servings. The eggplant dip and bread really stand out for a great entree, and I love the saffron rosewater icecream here.
If you wander “next door” to their little Persian grocer you’ll also find a charming collection of antique paintings, furniture, decor and more for sale. As a lover of vintage charm and antiques, it was a feast for my eyes and the perfect place to meander in after a filling meal in the main restaurant. Needless to say, I did walk out with a painting and a gorgeous marble statue made in Italy. The owner even kindly revarnished some parts of the painting frame for me to take it home.
It is always a pleasure to dine here and be invited into the owners’ fascinating lives and endeavours.
