We had my daughter's family 18th birthday dinner here last September on a Thursday night with 8 people. I'm surprised at the negative comments because I found the foot excellent, the service attentive and we all had a really pleasant night. I still remember the salt & pepper squid, the most tender I've ever had. We all had varied dishes everyone enjoyed their order. I'm not a coffee freak but I would have remembered a bad coffee - it wasn't.
Have been a regular for over 4 years. The place has based its success on consistently having good/great food. It is always busy and sometimes difficult to get a booking. My "go to" meal is the steak. OK this may be a bit boring but it is done so well. I like it medium/rare and I think that is all they do it as . The service is efficient but we go early and I have heard others say it can be slow later on. The place is noisey, needs some acoustic treatment or the like.
This has to be one of my favourite small restaurants. The food is just devine. I have a few favourites on the standard menu, but love the "Specials Board' where there is always some new and interesting options. The service is friendly, in spite of this restaurant always being busy! Make sure you have a booking or you may miss out! It is a large, open plan restaurant, and whilst it may be a bit noisy, this adds to the ambiance of a true Italian experience!
