Superb pho - a really tasty complex soup with lots of very tender beef served very rare, plus big serves for low prices and nice fast staff. I might prefer a heavier soup (e.g., Pho Mom) and more kick - no spice in the soup and no chilli sauce so you're stuck with adding chunks of chilli - but Pho Toan Thang is definitely among the best in Sydney.
Chicken and beef brisket noodles were delicious. Good flavours and portion size.
Friendly staff and good service.
It does get busy so best to come before peak time.
Will recommend and come back to try other dishes.
My girlfriend's family has been coming here for the past 10-15 years. I just don't think it's as flavourful as other places I've been. I've had better.
We waited in line for 15 mins during peak time on the weekend. Once served! food came out fast, had special combination pho and crispy chick pan with tomato rice and two cups of Viet ice coffee. Good portionS at a cheap price. Will return
Absolutely loved the pho broth - very flavourful and didn’t make me feel thirsty afterwards. Their crispy chicken was quite good too. Portions are very generous so sharing two dishes between three would be good.
I’ve been to this restaurant ever since I was young. Their service is very quick, the place is clean and food comes out quick. I recommend eating fried noodles and pho!
Best pho in Sydney for mine. Broth is flavourful without being too salty, toppings are perfectly done and generous, service is quick and price is reasonable. To top it off their other menu items are also delicous if youre not feeling like pho. And yeah they give you a choice of raw or cooked bean sprouts, brilliant.
Its hard to get parking and the decor is straight of out of a 1980s hong kong movie sticky tables and all. But still 5 stars for the food
Consistently good pho with super fast service. Food comes out within 5 minutes of ordering everytime. Texture of rice noodles here is always perfect, which is pretty impressive as it's quite easy to overcook. Soup is decent but not amazing. However could do with more toppings, feel like there is not enough meat especially in the combination which is $13.50 nowadays.
I tried the crispy chicken with dried vermicelli and tender beef rice noodle soup. The crispy chicken was delicious, very juicy and refreshing with the noodles and vegetables. The noodle soup also had great flavours, although the beef could have been fresher.
Food service was extremely speedy, both dishes arrived under 2 minutes. Big servings too - 2 people, 2 dishes with leftovers to takeaway. Customer service was friendly but rushed, although that was expected given the line at the door. Very fast turnover, they don't expect you to linger - get in knowing your order, eat and then get out, more people want yummy food!
Great food - particularly enjoyed the crispy chicken with tomato rice. The laksa was a bit too spicy for me but my companions absolutely demolished the dish. Service was shockingly quick and food was really cheap considering how tasty it was.
Unfortunately, customer service could improve. Had one staff member complaining about working long hours and having to wait for customers to finish whilst mopping the floors beside us as we were trying to enjoy our meal.

Hands down one of the best spots to get a crispy chicken or pork chop and tomato rice in town. There are no shortcuts when it comes to the tomato rice. The rice is slightly charred from the frying in the wok and there is even scrambled egg stir fried into the rice. The pork chop is nicely marinated with lemongrass and fried to perfection and the crispy chicken leg is crispy on the outside whilst retaining the moisture of the meat inside. Whilst the prices here have hiked over the years, I'd still consider it to be relatively cheap.
When you see a line outside the place you know your on to something. We decided to try a different Vietnamese to the one we normally go to. This is quick old school Vietnamese. The prices are great too. They staff are busy busy busy...seating you...cleaning the tables and ready to give you a plastic container and a plastic bag when you want to take home your left overs. Well be back!
Been coming here for years. There's always a long line out the door. The serving sizes are generous, service is very quick.
I’d grew up eating from this place since 1993, same old delicious meals….now I’m bringing my kids here to share their delicious food 🤗
Prices are great for good food and also good serving sizes. Place a little dirty from quick cleaning but generally is the standard so expect to wipe seats and cutlery. Food came very quickly and staff were attentive except for when paying at the end. They couldn’t offer three tricolor drinks so offered alternatives but we ended up getting two other drinks. However at the end they almost charged us for three drinks until we spoke up. Human error so that’s fine.
Tasty Vietnamese style rare beef noodle soup, served with the usual side dishes and complimentary hot tea.
Electronic payments are available but with a surcharge.
Can be very busy during the lunch hour peak time but the turnover is quick.
