Attended for dinner on a Tuesday night. We arrived about 25 minutes early and we seated easily.
Ordered the eye fillet (medium) and the scotch fillet (rare) along with roast carrot and parsnips and the sauteed green vegetable sides.
Vegetable sides were very nice. The eye filet was also well cooked and very tasty. The scotch fillet however was overcooked (for rare) and the quality of meat was not good (poor enough for me to tell the waiter).
Finished off with the dark chocolate parfait which was very good as well.
Overall a nice restaurant although possibly a little too pricey for what it is.
Had a lovely time at the fireplace, our waiter jinesh was great and service was very quick except for the Cocktail service is very slow at the entire resort, so cannot blame the fireplace entirely for this as the drinks come from the bar upstairs (mind you which only ever has a handful of patrons at a time). We ordered scallops for entree to share, the portion was small so we were worried the main would be very small too (it wasn’t). The bread and butter were good too. I ordered the steak, medium. It was cooked perfectly and was very tender, with the red wine jus. Paired with red wine. My partner ordered the chicken breast with pearl cous cous, she enjoyed her meal too. We also had dessert, they were great too. Would dine again.
I love the atmosphere at the Bar upstairs with the large fireplaces - just creates a magic winter atmosphere to start with a great cocktail. The Fireplace restaurant has great service and the rump steak melted like butter and the smoky taste a real fire gives to it makes a world of difference. We have been back twice on special occasions and never been disappointed. Great service and beautiful food. Pumpkin side is so tasty! No space left for desert ....
