I had the crispy chicken burger and a chocolate oreo shake. I loved the fact that the coleslaw in the burger was creamy and not just plain raw cabbage as it sometimes is. The chicken was crispy. I like cheese in a burger to be a bit melted which this wasn’t. When eating, the paper under the burger got all wet and started tearing and sticking to the food. I realise this might be because I was eating with cutlery and the burger was meant to be eaten by hand, but it still ruined the experience a little bit. The shake was average to good. Would come back!
Meat packer: beef patty was a little too salty for me but otherwise the elements were fresh and it was a reasonable serving size - the burger went down well with my companion.
Fried chicken burger (specials menu): the chilli sauce was tasty and creamy and balanced out the slaw and saltiness of the bacon. The chicken was super juicy - enjoyed this one after having some disappointing chicken burgers at other restaurants!
Strawberry thickshake was not too sweet and a decent serving size - just tasted like melted ice cream to me which isn't bad, maybe should try adding malt next time.
Came here with a 30% eatclub discount which brought the meal to a reasonable price (~$25); otherwise I would forgo the drink which I think is ordinarily too expensive. The burgers are a similar price to other burger places so no complaints there.
Been meaning to go here for ages and didn’t realise I’ve passed it so many times! I got thrown off by the metal chairs and tables outside which kind of make it feel like a dodgy fish and chips shop, but walking inside is like a whole new world. The decor is super cute and clean with diner-style booths and everything.
The fried chicken burger on the specials menu ($14) was amazing. You can hear them frying it fresh while waiting, and that really comes through in the taste. The bun was beautiful, the bacon was crispy, and the chill sauce with the slaw put a unique twist on the burger and gave it a good kick.
The vanilla milkshake was also excellent and had quite a complex flavour rather than just being overwhelmingly sweet. I‘m pretty sure they make the ice cream in house.
Really a gem in Indooroopilly, completely worth the walk from the shopping centre.
Update: Waffles were good but I would’ve preferred them to be a little crunchy on the outside. I really enjoyed the bagel. My friend thought the relish was too sweet but I thought it complemented the egg and avocado nicely. The bagel itself was super nice and buttery. Also, the mug of cappuccino they gave us was massive.
