I usually don’t write reviews, but this place deserves a mention. My partner and I had 4 vegetarian dishes and 2 breads. The tandoori mushrooms were tangy and spicy with a soothing yoghurt sauce - a great start to the meal. The Punjabi naan was surprisingly delicious. The chili paneer, had us grinning and smacking our lips. The malai kofta had the most delicious sauce, and the Dahl Makhani was reliably comforting. If you’re in the area and are looking for good Indian food, you will have a delicious meal here.
Food was great, very tasty dishes! service was great, greeted on arrival, seated quickly and served promptly. The only downside was it was probably the most expensive Indian we’ve had. $74 for what is pictured and two drinks. But, the food would probably take you back.
Went from 30 kms walk from Wilson prom(hungry like hell) and was served with amazing food with pleasant experience. On request, we were served with indian tea which was off menu, a item which should get on to menu!
Food was delicious and would definitely go there again!
Great food. So surprising for a small country town. Curries are true to region and absolutely delicious. Restaurant was full and food still came out in good time. Do yourself a favour...
We had takeaway rogan josh and chicken tikka masala. The flavours were sensational. The best Indian we've ever had. The restaurant needs more ambience.
Busy, busy, busy....
Wait longer than you would like.
But great food..
Went twice in a three day break, chilli cheese is great..
A full restaurant can't be wrong..
The food here was amazing! One of the best curries we have had in oz. chicken madras was a wonder; chicken tikka and chickpea masala was great- very different - light, sweet- delicious. Naans were also brilliant. Well done and just perfect. How the chef did it in the small kitchen(4 rings and a tandoor?) i don't know. I watched him work and it was excellent. I wish he was in Melbourne!
However:
New Year's Day and it was rammed- they could not cope and it showed. A few things came wrong. Another chef told them their food was amazing, but they should stop taking orders, and don't ruin their reputation. I agree - either get your staffing sorted or respond accordingly to control orders. There is only so much you can do with the kitchen and clearly front of house telling people 20 mins is a recipe for disaster.
I am willing to ignore the issues for the quality of the food. Others will not. It could harm you in the long run. I really hope not. This food deserves to be experienced.
Cosy little restaurant in Inverloch. Friendly staff and lovely food. In particular, the chicken tikka masala, lamb coconut, garlic naan and the pistachio ice cream were stand outs. Would recommend
Actually inverloch has never been a dining destination. The views are great all year round so the eateries just don't care. The food at Chutney Bar was good without any qualification for the location. The service was effective but the food very good including the korma, tikka, aloo gobi and naan.
Excellent food and good portion sizes. Not an amazing atmosphere and it was on the pricey side ($104 for starter, main, breads for two and one beer-hubby was driving) but we would go back.
Excellent authentic North Indian food, friendly and prompt service tucked away in Inverloch. Will definitely come back on my next visit.
Excellent nann, butter chicken and various other dishes. Mango lassi was also very yum!
Food was amazing. Ordered a lot of food and it was ready super quick.. Should have taken a bit longer. But the food tasted great.
Customer service could have been a bit better. Not that the staff were rude, but the person behind the counter was more interested in their phone.
Wonderful taste , ordered Gun powder fries Saag and seekh kebab
Serving quality excellent
We ordered home delivery and we were so impressed. Standouts from our meal were the samosas, dal makhani and the naan. The lamb in our biryani was quite tender too! Flavour packed, very satisfying, and very, very generous serving sizes! Estimated delivery time was accurate and the driver was very friendly. Would order from again.
Love this Indian food. We order every time we are in Inverloch and it never fails to delight. The curries are lovely and rich and flavourful. Could not recommend more, delicious! Just factor in a decent wait time on pick up because when it’s this good, everyone wants some!
