Food was delicious, view was amazing watching the sunset and the staff were very friendly and helpful
Signature dishes are outstanding to all the other dishes.
Authentic thai cuisine and great service and if you get there when the sunsets, the view is superb.
I ordered a few takeaway dishes from Bussaracum in Ivanhoe over the weekend. I was not expecting much so I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
I ordered:
Pad Thai - not the best I have had but certainly quite good overall. It was sweet and tangy. There was a nice amount of ingredients in it.
Green curry chicken - the curry was well spiced. Loved the creamy sauce.
Massaman curry beef - this was very nice and full of tender pieces of beef.
Pad Med Mamuang - this chicken, cashew with dried chilli and vegetables dish was refreshing and satisfying.
The guy taking my order was very polite. It was such a lovely meal to end the weekend!
Bussaracum sits on the first floor along the Upper Heidelberg Rd shopping strip. I must admit I expected a better city skyline view. I think you can see the city from certain tables, nonetheless it is in a nice spot. The decor is warm and modern with kitschy touches like the Art Deco chandeliers. The menu provides flavoursome Thai classics and has a good range of ‘street bites’. The prices are reasonable and the staff, although not effusive, are polite.
Bussaracum is my favourite Thai restaurant in Melbourne! Me and my husband have dined here so many times and the food is delicious every single time! We’ve tried almost everything from the menu but our favourites are money bag, beef salad, som tum salad, tom yum soup, crispy pork belly, chicken green curry, soft shell crab! But do try other dishes as well! They are all delish!! Oh and did I mention the view is spectacular? Come around sunset and you’ll get a gorgeous view of the city!
This place gets top points for location (literally, as their rooftop view of the Melbourne skyline is pretty top notch!) This is 80s family dining made over with 90s decor, and it's a very comfy place to be. The menu is as extensive, interesting and unique as the 180 degree views. Staff were lovely and the singha on tap was a nice touch. Not a cheap eat by any means, but a winner for a special evening out in the 'burbs with the family.
Some reasonably authentic dishes in what feels like a flashback to 80s dining. Happy to see the larb done well and not toned down too much for western tastes
Very very nice Thai restaurant in Ivanhoe. It has beautiful views of the city skyline. Off street parking ensures it is really convenient for diners. Food was very nice - duck curry, chicken curry, beef and basil and soft shell crab. Reasonably priced for real quality tucker.
Have been there a few times and never been disappointed.
Yes, this is your Sunday night low key restaurant when you are looking for somewhere to go to if you don't want to cook yourself :).
Sure, this is not for a date night as such.
Tasty food , polite and friendly staff, quiet most of the nights which suits introvert personalities :) the best tom yum soup so far! Been there many times over last few years and visited last night again , never disappointed 😊
Nice food and served them very fast.
The waiter is very friendly at Bussaracum.
Love the window seat so you can see the view.
We have ordered prawn Tom Yum soup, Soft shall crab salad, Chicken Green curry, Basil crispy pork, and Coconut rice. Love them all!! Just the crispy pork is a bit spicy for us but it was very delicious.
The food is delicious
The staff always friendly
The owner will never let any of his dishes be received by his customers if it is not to his acceptance. Sometimes customers that are new will not know this and be a little upset at the wait but once you taste the food all is forgotten:)
Hence i have been a regular now for more than 5 years :)
