Amazing place for every Indian to remember that ghar ka khana taste. Delicious food , good staff and satisfied with thw price range.
Pro tip : Ask them their speciality before ordering.
The best curry we have had in a long time! We ordered a lot as we had family over, rogan josh, kadai paneer, Garlic chilli mushrooms, chicken madras, palak chicken plus garlic naans and papadums! It was all amazing! ❤️
The curries here are pretty awesome.. so many (and I mean SO many) to choose from! The naan breads were also fresh and delicious. Staff were very welcoming and attentive, we had a cute little doorbell on our table to get their attention which I thought was pretty fun.. and smart! Prices were up there for an Indian restaurant, but you can't put a price on quality. Plus it's BYO, so if you're like me and love a few brewski's to side with your curry then you're already saving some coin! The restaurant, decor, ambiance was okay - if I come back it will most likely be takeaway.
Struggle to find a decent take away curry sometimes but this place is too good!
Mushroom Mutter and Lamb Madras, plus the usual bits and bobs. Highly recommend!
This was the second week of our 'Curry Safari' to find the best Indian restaurant in our neighbourhood. For those of you that know it, our regular haunt is the Essence Of India in Kinross so we have what we consider a high benchmark to start with. So the Haandi, what can we say? 5 stars all the way. Our first impression of the building and decor was great, the staff (young lady called Raj) was pleasant, knowledgable and attentive although the restaurant was strangely empty. The food was superb and our own proprietary Curry Safari scoring system came in with a whopping 87%. This is going to be hard to beat. Highly recommended. See you there, we will be back for sure.
I can't fault this place I have been 5 times so far and also had a few take aways. The resturant is well laid out and very nice to eat in. The food is reasonable priced and gorgeous. We have tried the madras, tikki masala, butter chicken, haandi curry and they have all been top quality. The naans are lovely and not over cooked and there is always enough for everybody. Also they give you a discount card which is a nice touch.
Our first visit here, the decor is very pleasant, the service good and prompt, our meals were tasty, we had a Haandi chicken curry medium and a dum haandi chicken mild, served with saffron rice a garlic naan and roti bread. Generally a very good dining experience, the medium curry could have been a shade hotter, next time I will have a hot dish. We would recommend the Haandi to others.
In a word? Great. Unlike the majority of Indian restaurants that serve their dishes floating in soup curries, this one strikes an excellent balance between the main ingredient and sauces. A tad noisy on wooden floors but the food is worth the din.
Will definitely visit again.. I decided to give this place a go because I am always on the lookout for a great curry. I ordered from the takeout menu. Service was prompt and efficient. The girl was not rude, just borderline friendly. My order came in a crisp brown bag. I was not disappointed when I took out the beautiful array of goodies and placed them on our table at home. I had chicken tikka, fish, salad, naan and raita. Every single morsel was delicious!! My husband and I gobbled everything down, wishing we had ordered more!! This is a proper restaurant. The décor is very upmarket and I would not hesitate to take family and friends there for some brill food.
I’ve had Indian meals where everything tastes quite similar. I’ve also had Indians where the spice completely overpowered everything and all I could think about was how much my mouth was burning. At Haandi we had none of those issues. The tasty food was varied and though spicy, I didn’t feel the need to down a drink!
