This place is great.
The menu is simple and easy to understand no fancy names for what should be kept simple and the taste is great.
Price is reasonable and would be another reason to come back.
The coffee game here is on point not burnt or stale and ready to drink.
I was impressed by the service at this place it's good to find somewhere where the staff smile and and take your order promptly and check in with you and take some initiative.

Cute little suburban cafe, light and bright set up, friendly staff. I tried the Healthy Start option for breakfast and it was huge - could make the eggs an optional extra, coffee was ok
Jacks has footpath tables but the interior is warm yet airy with big windows overlooking the street. Staff are keen and friendly. They have a breakfast menu and a lunch menu but both are available all day (until they close around 3pm). I had eggs on corn fritters and most menu items are along those lines, offering something more interesting than many cafes. However, I don’t know if they do them to the highest standard, e.g., soft bacon and soggy corn fritters. Still a good meal and the coffee is pretty good, just lacks a bit of body. A good option along this strip.
Quick and convenient breaky before work this morning. Great service, yummy coffee and a breaky that satisfied me 100%. The price also was great for Sydney and they catered to my weird dietary requirements upon request. I'll come back again when I need a quick fix 👍🏼

pretty good little cafe and the food is tasty although a bit on the oily side. the specials are good, taco chorizo was delicious although a little bit too much oil for my taste. Coffee is good, not watered down like other places so thats a huge plus
This cafe warrants a 4 mostly on the cheapness of the meals. It was nice for a quick brunch and super cheap, which is hard to get in the east.
I went with a few friends for an early brunch. 1 person wasn't too hungry and ordered a passionfruit muffin which was fresh with actual passionfruit and apple inside, not just a compote or something. Another friend ordered the savoury mince, on fresh sourdough bread with spinach and a poached egg - for $8 that is incredible. My other mate and I weren't too hungry so ordered ours takeaway but looked so good, we ended up eating it. He got zucchini fritters with rocket and poached eggs and I had the quinoa salad with spinach, fetta, pumpkin, pine nuts and a balsamic dressing. Really yummy.
My friends got fresh juices and I had a really nice chai latte. Not too fancy but great for a quick bite to eat.

Top coffee and awesome food at reasonable prices. Still holds the best Salmon Benedict in Sydney for me, and I've had plenty of those around. I'm almost too scared to "waste" trying it at another place in case it isn't as good. Since moving to the new location on the other corner of Ascot street, Jack's hasn't missed a heartbeat and is now open for dinner on most nights - akin to the lamb leg in the photo below!
Friendly staff at a convenient location in Kensington. Cheeseburger was good especially with the battered chips Coffee was a little on the tepid side but other than that above average.
Just love these guys! I have been coming here for 3 years, the service and staff are great. Their famous melts are a must try and they always serve good coffee.
