wrapper were cooked well, good texture, not over or under cooked. good bite on the various forms.
filling tasted genuine, no gypsy/weird/fake meat.
wish they had chilli oil/chilli flakes but we didnt ask for it, im sure they would help out if we asked.

I passed this place several times but I was quite suspicious of this place as it is not as well reviewed as some of the restaurants which were better reviewed and I did not like at all.
A friend took me here. It was a nice surprise. The place was full of people at lunch time. We had the crab meat xiaolongbao and the shengjianbao. It was decent quality and also surprisingly so much cheaper than the food on UNSW campus. The quality is also so much better.

HUNGRY SUMMARY - best place to get the famed Shanghainese pan-fried buns if you're patient enough to wait
FOOD - ordered 6 pieces of pan-fried Shanghai buns. I have eaten here before and this time didn't disappoint. Fresh crispy, soft and soupy goodness in one bite. The bun is perfect, the meat is tasty and the soup inside the bun is fresh and hot (so be careful). I don't even bother with other dishes, this shit is the bomb. Add some vinegar and chili oil and BOOM! Bao heaven :)
PRICE - $6.80 for 6 pieces - good value in my opinion. (taste of shanghai sells it for around 11 bucks for 8). Remember to bring cash though, no eftpos unfortunately
SERVICE - service is OK. Staff are approachable and can speak English, Mando and Canto. Only thing that sucks is the wait. You will need to wait 15 min approx. for the buns, but trust me the wait is worth it!!
