I served your quiches to a group of friends over the weekend and every single person commented on how delicious they were and asked where they could get them. The beetroot relish and rillettes also got high commendations.
Pork pies to die for, always friendly staff and fantasy cooking school.
Fantastic place clean and modern shop with ample parking. Some of the best pork pies l'v had. Also real old-fashioned pastes that took me back to my childhood.
The cooking classes are second to none. The demonstrations make the process easy to follow and create your own goods. You get a first hand experience of making cornish pasties and pork pies and then you get to eat them straight out of the oven. It is a great way to experience Kyneton as you can also explire surrounding areas before and after your session. Highly recommended!
I was thinking I should balance the glowing reviews with something less positive but having tasted a traditional pork pie and a chicken and leak pie, that is now not possible. Ever since tasting my first pork pie around 50 years ago bought from a butcher in Laverton (Melbourne) who is long gone I have searched for a worthy replacement. The ones sold at David Jones in their Bourke Street store in the 1980s and 1990s when I worked in the CBD were good, but not as good as those from Laverton. Today I tasted one that reminded me of that wonderful first experience. The cheeky hint of ginger (I think) gives these little treats a certain liveliness. I also found the chicken and leak pie, also eaten cold to be scrumptious. Piper Street Food Company makes delicious pies. Next time we'll make up a nice green salad and finish our picnic with the yet to be tasted sweet tarts. The price of these delicacies allowed us to provide amply for ourselves. Will I drop off those pork pies to my friends later today or will I tell them that the shop had a run on and we could not buy the extra two for them?
Great shop, fabulous food, so very tasty with all you could need to go with what you purchased. Helpful hint's re heating, storing, products packed carefully. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful owners passionate about their product, rightly so.. the area they live in and really good food. We ate our food then we thought of photos, deliciously too late 😊😊
It is always a pleasure to walk into this establishment. These guys are passionate about their products, they have spent a lot of time and effort perfecting their produce. My favourite, the traditional pork pies are extraordinary and worth travelling for.
Everything from the wonderful food to the friendly staff is top notch. The lovely couple who make the food and run the shop put their heart & soul into the business and it shows in the quality of food on offer and their beautiful nature. I cannot fault anything. If we could rate it 11 out of 10, we would. We will be back!
The most delicious gluten free brownie I've ever had. The owner told us she makes her own almond meal flour and adds a touch of cardamom. My partner had the (non GF) pork pie and said it was delicious too!
The most amazing food, hands down! We had Piper St Food Co. cater our wedding over the weekend. Bryanna and Damien were amazing! They gave us so much time, recommended what glassware we needed, and even provided us with amazing quilted paper napkins! The food was generous, delicious, and completely what we were going for! There was so much food! No one left hungry, everyone loved the food! Our guests had never had food like it at a wedding before, and neither had we. The wait staff were attentive and very professional also - they had every base covered. If you're looking to cater an event within the Kyneton area, don't look past Piper St Food Co!
