We booked a table yesterday for 6.30. We were told we might have to wait for our food, but we didn't have to wait too long. We ordered three mains and a rice between the two of us, but the waitress warned us it was a lot of food. So glad we listened to her, as two mains and a rice was more than enough. Highly recommend the sizzling Mongolian beef. Prices are quite high, but considering the portion sizes, the quality of the food, awesome views and friendly staff, I think it's worth the money.
Booked a table to surprise my fiancé whilst visiting from the UK. My fiancé has always wanted I come here but in 40 odd years of living here never has. Amazing food, amazing service, and definitely worth a visit. Would be amazing at sun set. Was lovely to sit and watch the boats come in and out as we sat talking and eating amazing food.
Said the only Chinese in town. We started with jelly fish and fried squid, then had 2 siszlings, a tofu clay pot, some vegetables and fried mi-fen noodles to share. If you ask me is this real Chinese? I'd say the tofu is the closest one. If you ask me whether it's woth trying, I'd say it's at least Chinese and it's good we have it in town.
This place was amazing, took my partner here for his birthday, when I called to book they made sure I had the best seat in the house, the staff were super friendly and the meals were outstanding!
One of the best restaurant experiences we've had. We ordered the Seafood Sampler, which was a special of the night. It had fresh prawns and oysters, prawn spring rolls, fried crab rolls, salt and pepper squid and black fried prawns. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Truly delicious. Absolutely worth every cent.
The service was exceptional. The waiters were friendly and considerate. As we were finishing our meal, a large party was seated. The waiter came to check whether we would like to order anything else, as the kitchen would be very busy with the large party. We really appreciated it.
We will definitely be back!
Quiet night at the restaurant, but both the food and the service was excellent. In particular, the dumplings were to die for and the pork belly was wonderful.
The food was fresh and absolutely amazing.
I was a little baffled when ordering the prawn toasts as an entree to be told they had run out, come on, you are right on the sea, there's really no excuse for running out of seaford.
We ordered the King Garlic prawn stir-fry, sizzling beef steak and special fried rice. The prawns were fresh, tasty and a generous serving. The sizzling beef steak with chinese bbq sauce was fresh, sizzling hot and cooked to perfection. The fried rice was the best I have ever tasted and would return for this dish alone. All dishes were presented very authentically.
I would say the only fault was that upon being seated at 8pm we were told the kitchen was closed and there was only a limited menu available. We decided we would give the place a try as we had our heart set on Chinese and we were so glad we did.
We were seated in a corner table overlooking the water/marina and it was absolutely amazing. The waitress was very attentive, very helpful and full of local knowledge. Although staff were cleaning around us, we were made to feel like there qas no rush at all.
A must visit if you are in Lakes Entrance. I will definitely be coming back here
I was told not to come here but decided to anyway and wasn't disappointed! Had the dumpling sampler for entreé which were really tasty! The only fault here was the soup dumplings didn't have soup in them.
Main we shared the seafood sampler & ordered some fried rice & stirfried veg.
Presentation of the seafood sampler was great. All the food on here was delicious. The only downfall I found was the calamari was a little floury.
Fried rice & veg was authentic and super fresh.
Service was very friendly but a little slow at the start for drink orders and they forgot the chilli sauce which comes with the dumplings that I had to go up and get but other than a few hiccups the overall experience was very pleasant and would definitely come back! 👌🏼
Had an excellent meal. The local prawns were delicious! Most importantly, all the staff were friendly, helpful and very attentive. A great experience in a delightful location!
oh yum yum yum.. While staying at Lakes entrance for the long weekend we went there after few drinks and the food was amazing. Sea food claypot was one of my favorite dishes followed by pork dumplings.. As the name says the feeling of being on a floating restaurant was great. I wish we would have gone there before the sunset..
Had the most delicious meal here, we went with the 'can't decide?' option on the menu which was a banquet of specially prepared dishes (some from the menu and some not) which were suited to our taste preferences. Every dish was fresh and flavourful. We had a wonderful meal and will definitely be back :)
Unique position amongst the boats in the marina. Very attentive and pleasant staff. Food is very good. No corn flour based sauces here. Clean flavours. Duck spring rolls really good. Very fresh and tender calamari. Bit pricey, considering the quality of the food we offered, would strongly recommend.
Wow, what an unexpected gem!
We decided to try Floating Dragon last minute after Soda Fish closed unexpectedly.
Arriving at 6pm as they were opening, we were lucky to snag one of the very last available tables.
Staff are so friendly and helpful. There’s a fantastic buzzing atmosphere, and it’s beautiful being so close / floating on the water. Nice sunset view - perfect spot for cocktails.
Coincidentally they have a good cocktail menu too!
The food was superb - the sizzling beef was a showstopper and tasted as good too. The crab & papaya salad was amazing- very spicy and zesty. The dumplings are also really delicious.
We will definitely come back again!
Highly recommended.
Excellent Chinese food at Lakes Entrance. $65 per person for entree, main and rice / fried rice but good quality food. We enjoyed it. Price is not cheap but you are paying the quality, views of floating restaurant and good service.
The restaurant managed to squeeze us in without a booking yesterday but it was full house by 630pm. Will definitely be back next time.
Amazing food! The location is a bonus. I thought it would be the other way around and I was more than pleasantly surprised at the amazing 5 star quality of the food. Absolute pleasure please do yourself a favour and visit
Amazing Asian style seafood, choice of 5 dishes to share between 2, good size portions, hardly needed rice, gorgeous views especially from the balcony, really friendly staff, good service, we came without a booking on a Saturday night and they tried really hard to fit us in, amazing floating restaurant on the lake
Excellent food, service and cocktails.my son said his calamari was the best he'd ever eaten....I have to agree.
Possibly the best Chinese restaurant I've been to. The portions are not huge, but if you get the tasting menu, you will get a good feed. The best salt & pepper squid I've ever tasted, and not the usual oily garbage you get in Chinese restaurants usually. The cocktails were good, the staff were very lively, and can't wait to go back again to try their other dishes!
Delicious food, beautiful views but sloppy service.
Service was great and food was delicious.. one of the best squids I ever had
