Bleary-eyed and fresh off the boat from Melbourne, I drove into Launceston seeking caffeine - and had the incredible luck to find Sweet Brew. I was greeted by smiling staff, cosy decor and a lineup of chatty locals - always a promising sign. After accomodating my gluten-free request with an extra egg, free of charge, I set up camp in a cute little posse out the back. The tunes were spot on and my brekkie (miso/tofu/pickled radish/egg/avo plated up with more artistry than MONA) arrived ASAP. My long black was the best ever. The food restored my faith in breakfast, beyond smashed avocado on toast. Even the bathroom was spesh. Loved the whole experience; thank you guys! Everyone else? Get yourselves to Sweet Brew!
Really excellent soy chai with real leaves and spices not fake powder or syrup. Plus a truly amazing steamed egg on toast dish - yum.
Great coffee and more. After enjoying a Magic they suggested a small equally delicious little number served in a traditional Ethiopian cup. Very nice touch. The omelette was the coffees equal, beautifully light and delicious.
The variety of seating is unusual, from a quiet space inventively created from an old cool room, to a massive table large enough to share without imposing.
I highly recommend a visit.
Moved up to Launceston about 2 months ago and so far this is my favourite place for brunch / lunch β creative menu, great quality ingredients executed really well (turmeric pancakes a bit sweet, but thatβs also personal preferences) β great coffee, great atmosphere, friendly staff. The only problem is itβs stopping me from exploring other places as itβs hard to go past!
Nice and cozy brunch place.
I ordered the Baked Bean Sweetbrew Egg and Chai latte. The food and drink was perfect.
Though, we werenβt greeted or even a small gesture to acknowledge a customer when we came in the door (they werenβt even busy) and had to come up to them to ask for a sit.

This is my favourite breakfast place in Launceston! So many options and they are all good! The interior is also one of a kind. The service is also top notch! Have a go and experience a true blue Tassie's brunch experience!
Warm atmosphere, delicious food, little piece of Melbourne, great coffee.
Sweetbrew greats you with the aromas of beautifully roasted coffee, as you make your way to the counter you are greeted by the baristas and a delicious cabinet full of pastries and assorted sandwiches.
Came here for brunch while visiting Launceston, based off of good online reviews. Great, tasty, and creative brunch options, although the servings were a little smaller than I would have expected for the $17-$18 price tag. Excellent coffee and Prana Chai - my fave chai. Eggs were cooked beautifully until crisp around the edges, mushrooms super tasty but would have liked more. Would have expected 2 slices of toast as the slice provided was rather small, and more goats curd on it, as well. Still, tasty food and I guess it meant we had room to try other amazing food in Launceston afterwards! ;)
Great coffee, excellent vibe...and a extensive range of pastries, very fresh!. I will be back next time in Tas, and hopefully have more time to try out a full breakfast.
Fabulous service. Staff incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their equivalent of a ham and cheese toastie is delicious. Excellent ambience. Would come again
Great coffee, very Melbourne-Like little cafe with hipster barristas. Service was a bit slow but coffee was good.

A cool place to have breakfast/brunch or just to hangout and have a cuppa coffee. Good coffee, and great breakfast. Portion is not that great for what it costs.
This place was the culinary highlight of Launceston. There were a handful of good places in the area but this place was amazing. We went during off peak time so we didn't have to wait much but I can imagine it'll be difficult to get a table during the popular times.
The food was delicious and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The coffee was great too making this a place I will definitely come back to.
The staff was friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked in. Excellent coffee and great variety of sweet and savoury breakfast options on the menu. When the food arrived, presentation was colourful and well thought out. Highly recommended cafe for breakfast if youβre in town. If youβre lucky you might get seated in one of their quaint private rooms.
Stood out for the cosy space inside and an interesting menu.
Friendly staff and amazing smells coming from the kitchen helped the experience along.
Left feeling nourished and very satisfied with my meal and take away freshly baked muffins.
Would recommend.
If visiting Launceston do not miss this cafe! Went back for our last meal there before flying out. Food top notch, staff very accommodating. Wish it was close to home!
One of the best brunches in Launceston.
Five Senses Coffee, Mork hot chocolate and exceptional service.
Menu's sprinkled with Middle Eastern/Asian highlights.
Sweet as.
A delicious spot in the centre of Launceston. We were recommended this cafe from our nearby Hotel. The food was fresh, and the menu offered a wide variety of interesting options. The citrus crepes were delicious! My partner had the baked chilli eggs - enjoyable but very very spicy.
Being from Melbourne, we have dined at a fair few coffee shops. We liked the quaint interior, and atmosphere was hustling and bustling.
They were out of lactose free milk - something not a fault of their own (supplier shortages). But the coffee was not too shabby!
The only let down, is that right next to us was the coffee machine. Where the barista and one of the staff were having quite a full on bicker at each other. Made it a little uncomfortable!
Lovely and attentive staff. Menu choices were interesting, and the steamed egg breakfast was completely delicious.
Also had a nice cold brew - perfect for a hot day
