Great little fish and chip shop. Staff we're really friendly and the food was great. Best chips I've had anywhere in a very long time.

Apparently this place has the best seafood in town. I have to admit the battered coral trout was absolutely delicious. Located across the road from the bowls club, it is a great way after a few beers to eat some really good seafood. It can get very busy at dinnertime, so i recommend to got a little earlier.

Most places change with time, either for better or worse. Sea Shanty has managed to stay the same for over 15 years, they still have the best fish and unlike most places it is a decent sized piece of fish and it comes with a very generous serve of chips. It has stayed as the go to stop on any trips through mackay
