Visiting from Perth, WA, today my wife Deb and I, took my my Mum out to lunch. I wondered if we'd done the right thing. 1 fish dish, 1 steak, lots of pizza, and 4 salads on the the menu. How wrong was I? Very! We had the most outstanding bruschetta for an entree. Deb had 2 salads for main. Mum had Barramundi. I had the fungi porcini pizza. I've eaten a lot of pizza all around the world. I've never had a better pizza; ever! Mums fish was amazing and Debs salad (who eats salad for a main?) was equally amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Jasmine in particular was great. Congratulations Morning Sun. See you next time.
We had the most amazing day yesterday at Morning Sun, from the word go when I contacted Carolyn you couldn’t ask for better service she was so attentive nothing was a problem, I booked for 11 people for a set menu the food was amazing! We started off with wine tasting John looked after us he was very interesting and comical at times and the wine was just lovely, our whole experience there was just wonderful from the wine to food and music was great too! We will be back and we’ll let our friends know that they must give it a go, thanks Carolyn for such a lovely day cheers!

We had wine tasting and boy it was great value to try so many ( nearly 9 wines) for $10 per person! They were all above average and some exceptional. Can't thank the staff enough ( David and the 2 girls - sorry didn't ask the names - who served us !)
Much better than going to their other venue which is foxey wines where communication were lacking . All the snacks like Polenta fries and kale pizza were lovely too. Thank you guys!
Went to its popular sister winery Foxy Hangout (been there before and loved it), but got redirected to this place as Foxy is too busy to accommodate group bigger than 4, but I’m glad we did. Morning Sun has got a lot bigger outdoor sitting spaces overlooking the beautiful vineyard, super friendly and attentive staff, we ordered a bottle of their Pinot Noir and really enjoyed it. They’ve got very similar food arrangement as Foxy Hangout prepared by the same chef, we tried most of them, all very tasty but if I have to pick on a couple of small things, they’ve got too many proceeded meat dishes at Morning Sun over Foxy (not a big fan of proceeded meat being health conscious), and they don’t have any sourdough dish (being a winery, go figure!). I’d definitely come back though and highly recommend anyone to go if you haven’t been!
Soooo disappointing, got turned away from Foxeys hangout due to large amount of people. They they suggested this place for lunch, thank Luke Skywalker they did, the food is absolutely amazing, the kitchen is immaculate run by a talented chef and kids who are old enough to be be working at Maccas but the food was so flavoursome in my mouth it was like a taste sensation from the Year 2000 firework display! Select the leave it to us option for $38 where you get a taste of everything. And the wines are amazing.

Feel like taking a trip to Tuscany but can’t right now ?! Well, the people behind Foxeys Hangout have got just what you need with their latest venture, Morning Sun :) Exceptional views, fantastic shared plates for casual dining and the same wonderfully attentive staff. Along with Barn & Co and the aforementioned Foxeys, you couldn’t find a better way to spend an afternoon on the Mornington Peninsula.
Great food and service, highly recommended.
