You guys are just amazing. Your burgers, specifically the buns - SO GOOD. The seafood is all on point, your chips are so good they can be reheated and still edible. If I was forced to find a complaint it would be that your prices seem just a tad high. But when you crank out quality like you guys I think you’re entitled to charge a premium. You’re not price gouging with food that barely justifies it like some people do. Keep it up guys.
Our regular for fish and chips. The guys deliver a solid flake and chips combo. Great burgers too. Overall great value when it comes to pickup or delivery.
The food is good... ambiance not so good. It’s not complicated - Just good fish and chips - that’s all you really want. Not overly expensive. Does a lot of business through Uber Eats.

I work around the corner and sometimes order the chicken burger or the burger with the lot for lunch and they are seriously good.
The ingredients used are much, much better and they are massive! Especially the chicken fillet in the chicken burger.
The amount of side chips in each box is about the right size as well.
I'm happy to say that this place has really lifted its game.
Had the burger with the lot. It's seriously one of the best burgers I have had in a while. Live in Sth Melbourne and would travel distance to have again.

Consistently good fish & chips. The owners seem to know their stuff, everything is cooked well and tastes great. I can highly recommend their burgers, spring rolls, and flake in particular.
Current owners are doing a better job than the previous owners. Nice, crunchy chips. Burgers are pretty decent for a dodgy take away joint. $10 for burger, chips and a drink. The buns are soft and buttery. Patties are decent quality although a touch overcooked. Fish burgers are also nice. Boniface: no longer cash only!

This place makes the best Hamburger of any fish and chip shop I know and their chips are fresh and crispy to. You can't go past their $10 burger deal with a bag of chips and a can.

Wow! Thanks to a recent change in management this place has literally gone from the pits to the BEST! I used to refuse to eat from there (it was Mum & Dad's local) due to the below par quality, but very pleased to report that the place has since had a complete turnaround. Delicious huge fish portions, crispy golden batter and gorgeous chips! And the new manageress surely has her young staff on their toes. Thank you! Now...I WILL BE BACK. ;)

I was a “tourist” in a part of Melbourne I rarely visit and it was lunchtime. Fish n chip shop seemed like a safe option. The young woman who served me was engaging and convinced me chips with my burger was a good idea.
I ate it on the bench seat outside.
The burger was great - big and delicious patty, tasty caramelised sauce that seemed homemade, and the bun was normal size but like Turkish bread in texture, which made it easy to eat.
I couldn’t finish the chips, it was too much - and I’m a big eater.
Afterwards the person who served me came to the doorway to ask me if I enjoyed it. I learnt that she makes the patties in-house!
I might take a drive out to Malvern again for another.
Came here for the first time ever because my local is closed for summer holidays. Wowee, the best potato cakes ever, and I'm very fussy about them. Can't believe the current overall rating of 3.7.
