THE best Thai food I’ve had, excellent service and great location
This was our first visit, has been recommended by good friends for a while now - wish it hadn’t taken us so long to go!
Will definately be back, highly recommend
Our favourite restaurant, service is good and the food delicious, definitely recommend a visit here
What a delight! Nestled closer to the back of the boardwalk i think this place is a hidden gem! A great range of options for vegetarians, a nice range of wine, friendly and attentive service and a gorgeous view as you dine! And for those who have a more western palate there are plenty of options as well. Would recommend the soft shell crab salad and the chicken garlic pepper. Been several times for lunch now and everyone agrees Jasmine Thai is wonderful!
Amazing!! Food was to die for, staff were super friendly and the price is reasonable considering how delicious it all was. We ordered the pad Thai and the Penang curry with some rice and I just couldn't stop eating it was all so good! The food is beautifully presented and the location is just another bonus. I also like the fact the had heaters to keep you warm in the winter.
Lovely and fresh best Thai in Mandurah.. Friends had massaman curry and Hokkien noodles.. All lovely. The view is beautiful, relaxed atmosphere.
I was a little hesitant to try this place after reading a couple of negative reviews, but I figured nothing beats personal experience, and after a less than positive experience with a rather arrogant proprietor at another popular local Thai restaurant, decided to take my dad (and my canine companions) here for lunch instead, and am glad I did! Where else can you have amazing views, yummy food and efficient, friendly service!
I have to admit after reading the negative reviews, I did add up the bill in my head and the 2013 accusation of overcharging seems to be nonsense, because it was spot on! Hopefully that old review will get pushed off the bottom of the page and stop putting people off.
The food: Best spring rolls I've had for ages! If you're hoping for visible oil and you think that too much salt('seasoning' according to the TV gurus)=flavour, go elsewhere, these were crunchy with a delicate flavour of spices complimenting the flavour of the fresh, firm vegies. Real food with real flavour.
Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Panang Curry: Both super tasty and we couldn't pick a favourite between them. The consensus was 'whichever one we were eating at the time'. The presentation of the dishes was a delight, with carrots carved into lotus flowers and the pad thai served in a stunning egg basket with chili on the side for those not quite so adventurous.
Icy cold water delived to the table as we sat down and a very flavoursome jasmine tea with the meal was perfect on a warm day, and they brought out an extra large container of water for my 'extra large dog' ;)
It's not super-cheap, but the price reflected the superb location, the priceless views and the fact that this is not a cheap takeaway joint. Just jumped into my top 5 Mandurah restaurants, hopefully will stay there through future visits :)
I am looking forward to going back soon!
$15 lunch special with a soft drink or a glass of house wine. I have been here about 5 or 6 times now and is probably the only nice thing Mandurah has to offer at an affordable price. The laksa and the phad Thai are both delicious.
Delicious!. We were so lucky to get in. We arrived wth a group of six to be told by a waitress that the kitchen was closed. Our luck was in though, an older waitress overheard, she and seated us and we quickly ordered. The food was absolutely divine and the same waitress took care of us, her service was amazing. We weren't rushed which lead to a most enjoyable dining experience. All in all a big thumbs up to this restaurant, we will all be back again for sure.
This restaurant was recommended by locals, and with out a doubt it is the best Thai I have had for a long time.
Great little find! Love this restaurant. The good is great and very reasonable. It's also BYO which makes for a cheap eat out. Pleasant setting near Oyster Bar (great for predrinks and live music) and overlooking the dolphin quay. Interior of the restaurant is clean and 'no frills'. Nothing spectacular. The outdoor seating is on a raised boardwalk area which is much more pleasant, weather permitting. The pad Thai is delicious!! The couple who run this place are very chatty and smiley. Highly recommended.
After initially being ignored after our arrival and having to request menus and drinks things picked up fast. The tempura prawns and spring rolls for entree were excellent and ranked by the team an 8 out 10. The service was excellent with the mains delivered not to long after we finished our entrees. Mains ordered were garlic prawns, chilli prawns, red curry duck, prawn curry.
The team agreed the food and servings were superb and a score of 9 out 10.
Will definitely come back again.
Chilli duck was delicious
