I went here with my fiancée and family (group of 6) on a warm Friday evening.
Food: I ordered the lime, sriracha chicken with risotto, my fiancée the ricotta mushrooms with quinoa and my sister the linguine. All meals were very well presented. My chicken was yummy albeit a bit dry (hard to avoid with the breast) but the srircha was well balanced. Risotto was a bit bland but wasn't grainy or undercooked which was appreciated. My fiancée loved her mushrooms and ricotta and my sister said the linguine was "fresh and delicious".
Value: bit on the expensive side (we are in Manly overlooking the beach of course) but sub $30 for each meal was still good. If the risotto was a bit better I would say mine was good value but overall the mushrooms was well priced. Linguine was $26 which is a bit much for pasta IMO but it was marinara and the seafood was fresh.
Service: very friendly and attentive staff who managed us well despite a busy Friday. I appreciated not being asked my order within 5 min of sitting down. Also it's BYOW so that was a plus.
Overall it was a great meal with a great atmosphere. There were even a couple of cute dogs on the table next to us - nice to know there is a pooch friendly place in Manly!
Excellent spot, right across the road from Manly Beach.
I had eggs benedict, with bacon, which was tops. Bacon slightly over cooked, and a 2nd piece of toast would have been nice, however I'm nitpicking.
Well worth a try, if you're ever in Manly.
Opposite Manly beach at the northern end of the Steyne is the very popular Jellyfish café. Sit inside or out and enjoy the added benefit of beach views and salty, sea air. Whether you come for just a coffee or a meal, Jellyfish is open from 7am – 11pm! If you come for a weekend breakfast be prepared for a short wait as you compete for a seat with the many bike riders, surfers, gym junkies, locals and tourists. Go for a light croissant, a muffin, an acai bowl, creamy vanilla porridge or a fresh fruit platter. If you need something more substantial Italian scrambled eggs or the Breakfast plate complete with smoked salmon, asparagus, semi dried tomatoes, feta, avocado, poached eggs, dukkah w soy linseed toast should hit the spot. If you want to go all out just dive into the Big Brekkie w bacon, eggs, sausages, tomato, mushrooms, hash browns and toast! The menu changes for lunch and dinner but I can definitely recommend the angel hair pasta w blue swimmer crab, prawns, chilli in a garlic lobster broth! A firm family favourite!
Super impressed! The location and view. The level of service and friendly disposition. The quality of food and portion size. Would happily recommend the acai bowl as a fave of mine.
This is easily my favourite place in Manly. It's great for breakfast, lunch, dinner and anything in between. The food is great as is the coffee. It can get very busy though, especially on a nice sunny day. The service is always swift though, so it's rare you'll wait long.
Located across the road from the beach, this is a nice spot to enjoy brunch. It's spacious and there is quite a bit of seating so despite it being a busy Saturday morning, we didn't have to wait long to be seated.
Lots of kid-friendly food options covering the whole breakfast spectrum including eggs, toast, muffins, pancakes, cereals, corn fritters and more making it a good option for families and brunching mums (and dads).
Service is upbeat and efficient.
Great way to start the weekend. Corn fritters were perfect. The view amazing. Sun, sand, beach and corn fritters - my idea of perfect..
Beachy unpretentious vibe, delicious food and friendly staff. Didn't have to wait long for a beautiful dish of crispy pan fried king salmon, scampi, seared scallops with green pea purée, YUM! While my partner enjoyed a slow roasted shoulder of lamb. The side salads are a perfect size, sprinkled with toasted pine nuts! Oh and don't forget to order a side of curly fries oh yeah so good!
Jellyfish provides a quality breakfast experience in a wonderful location. The quality of the food isn't poor but won't blow your mind either :) I would recommend a classic big breakfast and get ready to see a lot of people arrive with their dogs - especially on a Sunday !

A firm favourite for long lunches and birthdays among friends in Manly. It's the perfect venue for groups as the broad menu means there's always something to cater for all tastes and appetites. Good value food and BYO.
Great little cafe on Manly Beach, out of the hustle and bustle of the village. Coffee is great, food is delicious and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Sit outside and enjoy the view, or chill out inside. A lovely local.
We were a bit concerned when we arrived at 7pm on a Friday and it was nearly empty, but we needn't have worried. The food was universally superb. Not a huge range, and relatively standard fare, but all done amazingly well. Fish and chips top notch (which is a good test), pasta cooked perfectly, garlic prawns were delightful. If the owner is reading this, do whatever you can to keep your chef and give him/her a pay rise!
We went to Jelly Fish as a family of 5 for dinner. Every meal was delicious. The chilli prawns,Moroccan salad and crab pasta were fantastic. One in our group who had the fish and chips said it was the best F&C’s she had had! Despite the restaurant being relatively quiet compared to the Greek restaurant next door. Would highly recommend it. The website opening hours says 5-8pm but that’s not correct the restaurant is open until later. Should update the website! 👍🏼
The pork & ricotta meatballs as a starter were just delicious. They had so much flavour to them and had the right amount of cheese. We had the other pork starter, the pork belly, and were very impressed so far. We asked a waitress what we had just tasted (re: pork belly), to which she said she would return with an answer (sadly she did not).
Next came the salmon and king prawns risotto, creamy, albeit by ‘prawns’ it was a single prawn however faultless.
Duck confit was tender and sat on some asparagus and flavoured cabbage - pleasant but did not quite stand out as a whole. An inventive sauce to compliment the duck would be my suggestion.
The orange cake was excellent, we would definitely order it again; The creme brulee was ordinary.
Ambience was lovely and service staff friendly and attentive otherwise.
All in, we had a wonderful time at Jellyfish and would highly recommend.
Little advice for taste buds lovers, come and enjoy a tasty breakfast or lunch, with an exceptionnal coffee, all with a breathtaking view of the ocean 🤗
