The atmosphere is electric with their unique decor. The fire effect lighting gives an amazing warm welcome and the vast menu offers everyone a difficult choice-it is tempting to try and taste a bit of everything. One cannot ignore the friendly welcome offered by the host and hostess, David and Sharon, who collectively have so many years of experience in the food business.
Highly recommended.
I love the location
Love the the staff about time you guys came back
Alaskan King Crab ($19) “just like in the Deadliest Catch” sounds irresistible. It’s a lot easier to get to the sweet crab meat when the huge legs are halved; with the help of a picking tool, the entire leg falls out in one piece. Our second entree of Parma Ham and Melon ($21) is a true Italian summer classic. The sweet and savoury combination is extraordinary – fresh juicy melon and paper-thin salty ham bound together with olive oil, goat cheese and pesto. A light starter perfect for a 30-degree day.
Fire and Ice is a beachside bar and restaurant in Manly that is famous for its high quality seafood and steaks. We decided to make the most of the wonderful weather and go on a day trip to Manly to experience the wonderful food and views at this place. We ordered the signature Fire cocktail with an infusion of rum and raspberry, with a touch of overproof rum. This was a very strong cocktail and was a good base to go with the food.
Fire & Ice Grill & Bar is a meat heaven. It is famous for their dry-aged beef. You can pick out your meat from the special glass-fronted dry-aged fridge locker.
Service is friendly and the portion size is very generous. If you are hungry or is a serious meat-lover, do try the amazing gigantic tomahawk steak!
A great oceanfront steakhouse with a touch of theatre and plenty of style. Perfect for all the new year celebrations!
Very pleasant experience, amazing atmosphere and ocean view, extremely friendly service, great seafood dishes, must try their calamari rings!!
For a decadent seafood and steak feast, we headed to Fire and Ice Grill in Manly. Set right along the water’s edge with stunning views of the beach, we were so excited to try their speciality 180 day dry aged steak!. To start off the meal, we began with kingfish ceviche, which had the perfect balance of acidity and sweetness with a tangy mango salsa drizzled over the top. We also loved the seared scallops, each served in a beautiful silver spoon – the attention to detail was outstanding! The Alaskan King Crab was also another highlight – the freshness of the crab and the simplicity of this dish was thoroughly enjoyed!
As we walked in we were greeted by the owners. Two lovely and very knowledgeable people.
The range and quality of food is shown on display and looks amazing.
The portion size of the meals were large and the quality maintained with every bite.
The seafood and meat was succulent and cooked to perfection.
Highly recommend Fire & Ice :)
Great place to stop for a seafood or meats using high quality ingredients. The highlight for us was definitely the Tajima wagyu rump steak, amazing quality beef with so much flavour.
Pretty good considering the very affordable price point. Most places charge an arm and a leg for dry aged beef. Located in a very idyllic spot opposite manly beach, it’s a great spot to have a cocktail and a bite. In fact they have window seating overlooking the beachfront. I recommend going with one of their specials. My whole sole with lemon butter sauce was delicious. Otherwise, you can’t really go wrong with pork ribs!
Fire and Ice Manly is one of those restaurants where you could absolutely sit there all afternoon, and well into the evening for many reasons. The food is amazing. The staff are delightful. The view is incredible. We went on an early evening one Saturday night are were greeted with quite possibly the nicest staff you’ll ever meet. Sharon and David, the owners have been in the restaurant industry since their teens and have owned and run a few steakhouses in their time. They previously owned Ribs and Burgers for 18 years. They have since opened Fire and Ice, an ocean front restaurant in Manly with a concept serving raw meats, smoked meats, grilled meats and plenty of seafood. David knows his stuff, and certainly knows his meats. We took his advice and went for a 400g dry aged steak, served with fries and salad. The steak was incredible and cooked to our request. Having just returned from Argentina, we feel that we do know our steaks. We would certainly recommend a visit here for their meat. Top this off with a glass of red and you’re set.
I can't think of a place that dry ages their own meat in-house on that scale. A massive meatlocker dominates a section of the upper level for about 180 days at 18 degrees celsius at 75% humidity. The intensity of flavour in the rib eye had was indescribable and a standout. The Kingfish Ceviche is served on a 5000 year old block of Himalayan salt and I can see this and the Scallops served on a light cauliflower pureé crumbed with parma and chorizo being popular over the summer. Great ocean views on the upper levels and we noticed live entertainment in the much more laid back bar area downstairs. Definitely worth a visit.
