Review Red Sea Restaurant - Maroochydore

Dined here tonight after reading positive Google reviews, what a treat! This place is worth a visit! This family run restaurant prides itself on freshness, quality and quantity. Their staff are very welcoming and personable. We very much enjoyed our seafood platter and are looking forward to a return visit to try some of the other delicious items on their menu.

I came to Maroochydore for a business trip and arrived quite late. I was looking for a nice seafood restaurant to eat at and found Red Sea. Even though they were totally packed they were able to accommodate me. The staff were all super relaxed and friendly. They said I may have to wait to get my food which wasn’t a problem. It’s a family owned business and Orien found time to chat with me and we had a great conversation. She told me that they had just won a prestigious award that she proudly showed me. I had the lobster and prawn platter and it was perfect. The portions were generous and the price was good. On top of the great service it’s two thumbs up for me.

Omg!! What beautiful presentation!! Not only did we ring three minutes before the kitchen closed, the chef's were happy to help. They created a menu option into takeaway; seafood platter for two. Great money for awesome fresh value.. beautiful friendly staff which showed great service. I wish we were local of would be our go to restaurant every weekend

A great find. An extensive menu that will have something to please everyone. Great service. Serving portions are large. My steak was cooked to perfection (Something that seems to be difficult for many places these days). Will definitely be back and would recommend.

Good seafood, amazing calamari & prawns!! We came here and ordered a seafood platter on the recommendation of our B&B hosts. It was extremely good value with a great selection of cold and hot seafood. We weren’t particularly impressed by the oysters – they natural oysters were a little small and the oysters Kilpatrick were smothered in a strange tasting sauce mixed with cheap commercial bacon cubes. The best things on the platter were the calamari and the prawns. Instead of ordering a platter we’d probably just order that next time. Our friend ordered the eye fillet medium rare – and it looked well done to me. Service was a little slow and slightly haphazard – we only received our meals one hour from the time that we arrived at the restaurant! But the staff were friendly and BYO is a plus!

Wow! We were totally impressed with the seafood platter for 2. Honestly, the best fresh oysters I've had in years, the rest of the seafood was excellent. The sauces were home-made, making a lovely change from the regular sugary tartare and cocktail sauces. Service was great, and it's understandable why they were almost fully booked on a Tuesday night!

We have had the most delightful meal .. the steak and prawn topper was amazing and literally the best meal we have had in ages .. service was amazing and the dessert sticky date pudding was to die for ..Oriane was absolutely amazing and such an asset to the business .. cannot recommended highly enough Maureen and Mark

Absolutely amazing seafood, the platter for 2 is unreal value for money and the staff were super friendly and made the experience one to remember. If you're on the coast you have to eat here!!

By far the best place I have eaten on the coast! The meals are such good value for money, are so delicious and fresh and tasty! We have had steak, seafood and chicken here on multiple occasions and it is always AMAZING! Both times we had our main meals take-away and they were packaged so well by the time we got home to eat our meals, everything was still perfect! And the staff are super helpful and friendly! Would highly highly recommend.

Had a great experience at the Red Sea Restaurant last night! Friendly staff, great table and the seafood platter for two was fantastic. The seafood was fresh and the arrangement with the fruits and flowers was very nice. Didn't have a lot room left but was so glad we ordered dessert. The Turkish delight pav was unbelievable and the chocolate mango panna cotta was awesome . Noddy's desserts alone are worth coming here. Will be recommending to all friends and work mates. Thank you

This would have to be one of the best restaurants on the Sunshine Coast. Fresh good quality seafoood and steaks cooked to perfection. Staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. We booked a large table for our work Christmas party and everyone there said they will be back. Prices were very reasonable for the quality any quantity served. Leave room for the Turkish Delight pavlova, its a must. Thanks for the awesome dining experience.

Our seafood platter was amazing... but the Turkish delight pavalova stole the show. Would definitely eat here again!

Went to the Rea sea restaurant tonight omg all the food was great same with service. Big servings possibly the best beef and reef I've had definitely try to get back before I go back to W.A will recommend to friends

The members and friends of The Sunshine Coast Gourmet Club met for their March dinner at 'Red Sea' Restaurant in Duporth Ave, Maroochydore. The Dinner Mistress for this event was Dawne Clark who along with the Head Chef Neil Deakin created a wonderful seafood menu. Entree consisted of; Salt and Pepper Calamari with lemon and tartare sauce. Main was Lemon Myrtle Barramundi served with steamed seasonal vegetables. Followed by a delicious dessert of Turkish Delight Pavlova. Another great night sharing good food and wine amongst friends.

Great food and service. Loved the outdoor dining. All in all a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend it. Go try it.You'll love it.

I just had the best cupcake I've eaten, all year. Beautifully presented and a bargain with a coffee at $7!!!

I had an absolutely amazing night at Red Sea last night. The service was fantastic, my food looked absolutely incredible and tasted sensational. A lot of "wows" and "yums" came from our table. I will most definitely be back to try more!

Had lunch here the other week and the food was pretty good, I had the fish of the day with chips, tartare and salad for $17. Fish was perfectly cooked with a nice crispy batter and chips were also very nice. Restaurant was surprisingly empty but maybe it's more of a night time place, I'm not sure but still worth a visit if you're after some nice seafood.

Ordered a entree as smaller meal to come with mains for table of 5. Entree came before mains making dinner awkward for light eater having to eat meal by self. Front of house blamed back of house. When main came they bought another entree. Obviously don't get why we ordered a small meal and poor judgement blaming kitchen staff.

Really friendly staff, the girls are very polite and helpful. Nice fresh seafood and good sized portions.<br/>Open all day so you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner and roll out full as !!! Great location if you are staying on the river as just opposite Big Top.<br/>Update -28/02/19 Had very yummy breakfast here, nice soft poached eggs 😋 as ordered.<br/>They also do takeaway fish and chips.

Very generous servings and great quality. First time in this restaurant and if we were living in Sunshine Coast this place would have become one of our favourites . Friendly and caring staff and I hope you great success.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. The ladies that served us were incredibly attentive and friendly. Chef even came out and asked out how our meals were and we could barely answer between mouthfuls! Barramundi and Bugs cooked and presented to perfection. This is the most impressed I have been with food and service in a long while. Thank you!

It is indeed a prowess to announce that this particular restaurant has lived up to the expectation of several!!! I have been a customer of this restaurant for quite some and the customers like me who pay a visit to them do shower the kudos on them!!! Thank you for catering such awe-inspiring foods!!!

Red Sea came highly recommended to us. My wife and I consequentially dined there two nights ago and I can say that the seafood we ate was absolutely exceptional!! The servings were larger than expected, the quality and freshness and flavours of the barra, prawns, calamari were as good as you will get. Even the salad was way above average for presentation, variety and freshness. Drinks were kept up, no waiting for service, very friendly young staff and management went out their way to describe the food and ensure our enjoyment! Go There!!!!!

Red Sea Restaurant boasts of having a team of expert chef, who has the ability to cater delectable dishes. All the recipes have a unique taste that’s certainly going to entice your taste buds. The food is fantastic!  The seafood is so fresh and the salads are also just as good.  The size of the meal is huge, so much so that my husband had to eat half of mine as I did not want to waste those prawns.  The only downside is that the ambiance for lunch is not great but I understand that they are opening a new place just across the road which will have a better feel.  Could not fault the service and the staff were friendly and efficient.  It is now one of our favourite places to go.

This is about Red Sea 2 who I suspect is associated with Red Sea. Horrendous service - it took 15 minutes to take our order. Ordered eggs Benedict & received hard poached eggs when ordered soft. Complained at the end & the staff were quite uninterested. Ordered a take away coffee when paying for the rest of the meal & then didn't get it for 20 minutes & only got it when I went back to the counter & asked & was told that it had been sitting there waiting for a while but had wrong table number on order so didn't know who's it was!!! No discount offered even after the second mistake & staff still didn't care!!

Not happy. I order the garlic chicken with bacon and served on a bed of rice. They couldnot get the rice right. Over cooked rice is not what chefs should ever serving.

Best Seafood and steak place on Sunshine coast. We went there just because it was handy about 2 months ago. Now once a week and fathers day and special occasions.<br/><br/>Food absolutely amazing. service only good, but the food is to die for.<br/><br/>Recommend to anyone.<br/><br/>Big Frank
