Favourite place to visit great friendly atmosphere happy polite staff and the best rib eye on the bone. Number 1 place to go down south with my family and friends
First visit to Carmel's last night for my birthday. Made to feel very welcome. All the staff were helpful and friendly. We all had an awesome meal and left feeling very full as portion sizes are extremely generous. Thank you for a great night
This is a destination for get steaks. The servings are generous. Eventhough we have to drive over an hour to get there, its so worth it. Great range of wines too.
Yum!! Ribs were delicious - generous servings even the garlic bread. Will be back to try the burgers that looked incredible, good atmosphere and heating which was great on a very chilly winter night
Our favourite restaurant in Adelaide. The food has always been great over the years, awesome serving sizes and great flavour! Very friendly staff, quality food! It's our celebration, special occasion location!
Great honest hotel food. The burgers are definitely my recommendation and they're great value. The venue is always busy, even on weeknights, so that says something about their business
I went here with my parents for dinner. We were passing through on holiday from NZ. we have the chefs choice oysters for entree, and oh wow what a great start. Yum yum. For mains we had lamb rump, steak and ribs special and scotch fillet. All were amazing. And to top the night off the staff were absolutely fantastic. We had the best night. Thanks guys.
Really enjoy the lunch we had at there, both food and service are nice. Will be much better if inside of the restaurant can be brighter.
Will back there for the pork rib next time, good lunch spot for a wine tour in the region!
Great place for your Sunday hangovers. The food is HUGE and full of flavour. The burgers are great and we loved the side sauce. The menu is also huge and we loved the wine and beer selections.
Food was great! The atmosphere was also really nice. The staff were friendly, however I have now been here several times and every time they have either forgotten something that we ordered or we waited over half an hour for our food.
Fantastic Birthday dinner here last night. Staff were lovely, food was delicious and pricing very reasonable. Will definitely be back again.
Oh wow. We dined here, as a couple, for a laid back birthday dinner. We had not booked and it was busy busy busy on a rainy Friday night. Nevertheless we were seated quickly and ordered pre-dinner drinks. The menu was large, varied and appealing: we were spoilt for choice!
The service was charming and natural efficient. Inobtrusive but friendly. The standard of service indicated a well trained team and they really did work harmoniously: everything we needed was set before us unobtrusively with a smile.
We shared the very generous tasting plate to start whichbincluded tender chicken, the most melt in the mouth squid, as well as tasty chorizo and huge prawns. The deep fried halomi was very salty, but still delicious. The onion relish was a little too vinegary but certainly didn't detract.
Our mains were a t-bone with steamed greens....including some beautifully annointed asparagus spears; as well as the pulled pork, which was divine. (The homemade coleslaw was also sensational.)
Robust portions and flavours of the mains meant we didn't need desert, but we indulged anyway....and I'm glad we did as the apple crumble was beautiful in taste, texture and presentation.
The vibe was busy and friendly and buzzing: lots of families, groups and couples. All ages seemed to be well catered for anfd having a wonderful evening.
We eat out a lot in Adelaide, and I'm fussy about food and service, and so I am thrilled to have enjoyed such a wonderful dining experience.
Well done Carmel's!
