Grea coffee, specials board is always worth looking at! Had a great open steak sandwich here the other day and really quite enjoyed it! As always the chocolate is a cracker too!
Stopped in for a quick lunch and coffee.
Place is generally busy and service isn't dynamic, but is pleasant. Environment is a bit rustic, but clean and uncluttered. I had burger of the day - lovely home-made patty with cheese, great sauce, coleslaw, lettuce & tomato and a monster serve of fresh fries and a decent black coffee. My partner had a chicken breast burger (also with a pile of fries) and said it was as good as she had ever tried together with a cappuccino. Total cost including a bottle of juice was < $50 reduce to $36 with a voucher.
If I was rating the chocolate treats there, it would be a 5 for sure, but the meal was good quality & good value - scores an easy 4.0
FRIENDLY SERVICE
We stopped here on a hot weekday arvo. I had my fave chocolate frappe & he had vanilla ice cream bomb for a change. It was served with a small jug of liquid Belgian chocolate.
For takeaway I ordered a brownie which was a more generous size than the Toorak Gardens branch does. He had a salted caramel & chocolate tart & they were presented in a well designed takeaway container with a couple of strawberries & a small container of cream. I was impressed.
