Had breakfast here as part of the Manchester Unity building tour and it was great. The coffee was excellent and the food was delicious. I have a weird citrus allergy and the staff and chef were great in accommodating. I even got a special dessert just for me. Thank you again for the great meal. We'll be back.
What a legendary place to eat. Phenomenal service, great staff, could highly recommend. I'm sick of all these entitled people thinking you guys owe them you guys rock!
We came here for breakfast as part of the building tour. We arrived at 8.05 for an 8.30 session and were not allowed to sit down and pay for a coffee.....we were told that we would not be seated until 8.30 like everyone else. After finding coffee elsewhere we came back at about 8.20 and most people were seated. The food was good, but not great and the pro secco was very sweet. Dessert was fine. The tour of the building was very good and the guide was fabulous. At $65 pp person I think it is very expensive for what you get.
Nice spot to stop in for a coffee and salad! The food it great, the coffee tasty, and the service very fast!
Something about the look of 1932 from the outside made me feel hesitant to try it, but can confirm that it was much better than I expected! The food is simple, but done really well. The only down point was the coffee. It is not the greatest (unsure what beans they’re using) but definitely passable. However, overall, I would come to 1932 again if passing by.
We enjoyed breakfast here as part of a Manchester Unity building tour and it was amazing! Lovely glass of prosecco on arrival, Tea 2 teas, delicious breakfast, followed by an equally beautiful dessert. My potato dish with smoked salmon, hollandaise poached egg, and avocado was very memorable. The wait staff were friendly and made our morning special. Highly recommend, and a most enjoyable way to see one of Melbourne's iconic buildings
I like this place. It’s small and cute. Does the job for a hungry stomach and has a varied menu.
Once again I will say it’s nothing flashy. There’s no candy floss towers or crazy panacottas but tasty none the less.
I got their pumpkin salad with eggs and sourdough. I really enjoyed it. I love pumpkin, greens, eggs and bread so it really hit the stop. I have had better but that doesn’t mean this was bad.
My friend had eggs Royale with a hash brown and very much enjoyed it.
The staff were ace.

Situated at the stunning ground-level arcade of the iconic Manchester Unity Building, 1932 Cafes brings back memories of the good old 19th Century glamor. Be fascinated by the stunning displays Art Deco and period pieces throughout the restaurant, though certainly don’t expect a meal dating back to the 30s.
1932 Cafe has combined the best of both worlds, offering patrons a modern day dining option with stunning old-world vibes.
