Review Grand Trailer Park Taverna - Melbourne

Got to try this during one for one sale via ubereats. Delicious burger, juicy and tasty meat with lots of sweet mustard. Well packed too. A must try!
TinManFromAus
One of my favourite burger joints in Melbourne. I don't go here often enough. The pimped out trailers inside the restaurant are something to be seen - it's a lot of fun, decked out nicely. The burgers themselves are tasty, tender meat, great toppings. The chips are crunchy and very well seasoned. Great for a night out with friends, you're not trailer park trash if you eat here - you're trailer park chic.

As of now, my favorite burger shop in Melbourne! The burgers here are big and filling so defiantly a good choice if your hungry! They have a great variety and a fun interior. I recommend the Thanos burger as it tastes great.
Nikita Varma
Great burger joint and a great variety of drinks. One obvious lacking thing is the variety in their burgers. At least chuck in a chicken burger as well. But overall lovely experience. Decor, actual food quality, atmosphere and staff 10/10.

This place is really great, such a funky vibe and love all the booth seating. Easy to get to location, just go up the stairs that look like you're entering a nightclub and you've made it. The burgers are the stand out here (obviously) I had the Thanos and it was actually so good. I haven't had a mac and cheese croquette in a burger before but I can say, I'm a convert now! Seriously cheesy, gluten-y goodness with a delicious patty, tomato, lettuce and lashings of sauce. The Nutella/Kinder Surprise milkshake was massive and very tasty - adding the splash of liquor would have been even more decadent but I was pacing myself - the burger was huge so don't snack too much before you come. Service was prompt, great soundtrack and pretty quiet on a Sunday arvo so a great spot to sit and chat! Definitely recommend for any burger connoisseurs out there!

Even in the midst of the city being a ghost town plenty of people were in here. The food was SO GOOD. Loved that we could order online from the table and the food came out quick. We had the basic not so crazy burgers but they were so good, juicy and fresh. The chilli fries were great but the real MVP’s are the onion rings.

The restaurant has a nice theme with the trailers inside giving it an outdoor feel. The burgers were average in taste, moderate size and a tad pricey. The milkshakes were really good though but not enough for me to come back unfortunately.

We went here on a Friday night and I left very impressed. From sitting to our food arriving on the table was 20 minutes! On top of that, the food tasted amazing and was reasonably priced. The staff was really friendly and the environment was great. We left happy and full, will definitely be coming back :) One suggested improvement though - along with Tabasco on the table, have ketchup bottles too Edit: I'd appreciate it though if my photos were not removed that I uploaded. They were representative of my experience

Went as a group of 9 friends, all for the first time. 7/9 absolutely loved it. The drinks menu was short but had great variety. Fantastic espresso martini. I'm a fairly experience burger smasher and this rates up there with the best I had. I ordered the double with a side of onion rings. Burger has a good size, not to big, easy to handle and meat cooked to perfection. The onion rings were exactly what they should be. Ideal thickness, perfect batter and cooked by a guru, they were golden and crispy..... probably the highlight. Will go back and recommend to friends

Amazing food, fun theme, great atmosphere with decent tunes and comfortable seating. Service was super fast even on a busy night. Great for a casual fun and indulgent meal with a group. The cocktails and spiked milkshakes were awesome; those and the chili cheese fries with perfectly cooked, good quality beef were the highlight for me!

Beaut, bonza, grouse joint, different, excellent, friendly staff, happy-go -lucky vibe , 1st class service food&vibe!!!!! :).
James Taube
The best burgers! Great fit out with trailers (caravans) as booths. Every other burger place I've tried doesn't compare.
Adam Murphy
The atomic burger was good as are the chips, mojito was also good. Milkshakes are also great with the alcohol option.
Fabian Di Cola
Francis Underwood burger was amazing! Good vibe, friendly staff, and tacky decore to top the experience. Definitely will be back 🖒

Best burgers & fries we have ever had! Onions rings, mac n cheese croquette were surprisingly not oiliy, the brownie and campfire cake were out of this world! This was soooo much better than TGI's - which WAS our favourite place!

First time at grand trailer park. I had the David Chang. Fantastic burger, had everything. Service was quick considering it was lunch time On a Friday (on a nice warm day) TIP: get there early to grab a spot and to reduce the wait time. By the time we left the line to get seated was down the stairs Will be back!!

Fantastic Service! Favourite burger place in Melbourne

Hands down best burger I’ve had in Melbourne CBD. Will definitely go back 🍔👍
Lynette Rockne
Really good burgers, I had the Ivan Drago and it was yum and not too big. The interior was quirkily designed to be like caravans with picnic table & bench seats and had a inviting atmosphere. It was a warm night so we sat on the balcony and enjoyed the view.

This was our second visit with different friends & once again a gr8 nite, burgers were awesome & drinks were cool. Recommend this place whole heartedly.

Quick Tasty Burgers. Groovy atmosphere. Yummy lychee martini! Great value. Kid friendly. Went with group inc kids and we sat in huge 'caravan themed' booth. No kids menu, however staff happy to adjust burgers to kids taste :) 🍔🍸🍺

Been here numerous times, but this time I found a hair in my burger... our serving of chips was hardly a serving.. Not happy

Great service. Great food. Great cocktails. Great music. What more could you ask for?!
Helen San Agustin-Acuna
Great place. Great burgers for both real meat eaters and vegetarians. Women's toilets however has nasty odour.

The burger i got was amazingly delicious. Best burger I've ever had.
Sonya Ford
Amazing! My new favourite place! Never seen a 6 year old eat a burger in less than 2 minutes! 😂😂
Guy Hill
Good GOD! Talk about a burger joint! We had a group of 15, all our burgers were served in under 10 minutes. We went a little over a day ago, and I think I'm STILL digesting my Francis Underwood!
Daryl Black
We had a fantastic burger and drinks, I will be heading back for more in the future 🤙🏼🍻😁

Great food and great service. Also A+ to whoever manned the playlist tonight; I was very impressed to hear Starkid's Boy Toy!

Rating: 4.5<br/>Food: 4.5<br/>Value: 4<br/>Service: 5<br/>Ambience: 4.5<br/><br/>One of my favourite burgers till this day. I am a burger addict, and am always looking for new burgers to try every week. I came across this restaurant in 2017 and have not forgotten about the flavours and exceptional service, which had brought me back here after a few years. <br/><br/>When you walk up a flight of stairs to this restaurant, their themed decor will catch your eye. I loved how fun and eccentric it was, with each trailer or booth designed as a caravan, cubby house, retro-style room or a safari vehicle. <br/><br/>This visit round, we ordered the KSA and the Thanos, with Chilli Cheese Fries to share on the side. <br/><br/>KSA burger: A classic burger that ticks all the boxes for flavour and texture. The toasted brioche bun is buttery with a slight crunch which I love in a burger, and the beef patty is so tender and juicy with a slight char, giving it that extra texture. The tomato and lettuce is fresh, and the American mustard is the way to go with this sort of burger. <br/> <br/>Thanos burger: If you are feeling adventurous, I highly recommend to go with this burger (although the other burgers are consistently explosive with flavour and are all fun to eat). This is my go-to since it has my all-time favourite, mac and cheese croquette and special burger sauce. The beef is just as tender and juicy, which goes so well with the crispy and rich cheese flavour of the mac and cheese without dominating the entire burger. The special burger sauce and mustard cuts through the heaviness of the cheese - a perfect balance of flavour and texture. <br/><br/>These burgers can be very greasy, so be prepared to get messy. I personally don't like getting oil or food scraps on my fingers, which was my little pet peeve. <br/><br/>Chilli Cheese Fries: I have a love-hate relationship with chilli cheese fries. It's because I love crispy fries, but also love cheesy loaded creations, but it can be difficult to have both crispy fries that is smothered in a generous amount of hot cheese sauce. This trailer, did their best take on the chilli cheese fries, and I loved it. The rich cheese was hot and gooey, with a kick of spice, whilst the fries maintained a slight crisp and flavourful. <br/><br/>I've had their milkshakes before and I definitely would recommend any. They also offer alcohol beverages at the bar which are great for a fun catch-up with friends. This burger joint has all you need for a good night out, and would definitely be my favourite substitute for an outdoor caravan park! <br/><br/>
Willtravelforfood17
I love this place! The burgers were thick and delicious and so were the milkshakes. I ordered the milkshake with the Kinder surprise and loved the presentation. I also loved the atmosphere and the booths you eat out of. Really fun place to eat at.

Great vibes & great food, a must see in Melbourne 👌
Lizzie Eats Melbourne
😱Lizzie’s first impression: The most impressive, most juicy and delicious burgers and great shakes. <br/><br/>🍩Lizzie enjoyed: I have been here many a times pre covid and it’s always busy especially during Friday lunch or dinner. They have the most impressive burgers – I’ve tried the Thanos burger which is unbelievably big and has a mac n cheese croquette in there which on its own can make me full! Such a great deal. The patty is soo juicy and tender. <br/><br/>I also highly recommend the Atomic which has the best caramelised onions (which every burger should have) and there is a chilli cheese kransky on the inside. Amazing. <br/><br/>🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: The space is a little dark and you will find that the seating is all over the place if you’re not in a group where you get your own booth. <br/><br/>🥇Lizzie rates overall: The best burgers in town – I love coming back here time and time again and hope it opens up soon again! <br/>

My friend and I ate here on December 15th 2019. Shout-out to the staff that afternoon who were great, and the motivation behind leaving this review (I finally got around to it). <br/><br/>We both ordered the Double Chunk burger but requested to have single patties and cheese (the staff happily obliged and the price was reduced slightly accordingly). We ordered a Kinder Surprise shake for something sweet afterwards. Knowing that they were relatively large, we asked for an extra straw so we could share. Instead, the staff halved the shake pouring it into two separate glasses/jars for us, each presented with a Kinder surprise chocolate. <br/><br/>The food and shake were great, and I have yet to be disappointed eating here, but the helpful staff were what made the experience even better. The small things count.

First time there, the place looked ok at first, but I soon realized the cleanliness is not a priority. We’ve been ask to sit to a table that ain’t been clean besides that service lacked a bit in explaining exactly we had to go to counter, order food and drinks, pay and get the cutlery you need to eat.<br/>Toilets were also a let down.. <br/>lucky for us the food was good tasty burgers <br/>Nice sauce and cheese, also fries were excellent.
Lianne
While the burgers and chips are soooo yum with great portion, the chocolate milkshake isn’t great. It taste like a chocolate flavoured milk pour direct from box into glass that are swirl with some chocolate.
Melissa H. Gojer
Burgers were great. Dessert was amazing. Definitely one of the best burgers I've had in Melbourne!

You have to climb a few sets of stairs to find this burger joint, but trust me, it's worth the exercise. With a really cool fitout and a fun vibe, it's easy to relax at Grand Trailer Park. With a large space, comfy tables and booths; and even a couple of private 'caravan' booths, the decor is really funky. The staff are fun, and greeted us warmly; and our waitress remained quite attentive even though it was a busy Saturday night.<br/><br/>The menu centres around delicious burgers, some with over the top fillings such as mac n cheese croquettes, but we kept it simple to enjoy the flavour of the beef. Our burgers were unreal... super fresh buns and salad, with juicy beef patties and lots of tasty sauce. The kind of burgers that drip down your arm, which in my opinion, is the only way to have them. The chips we ordered were incredibly moreish, salty and crispy... totally addictive.<br/><br/>Since we were already quite full, we resisted the more extravagant desserts such as waffle stacks and donuts, and instead decided to try the tiramisu. We are so glad that we did as this was a fantastic spin on a classic dessert, and not only was it divine, but it was also served in a pretty glass which was quite unexpected in a burger place.<br/><br/>With quite a few burger places in the city, Grand Trailer Oark Taverna is an absolute fave because of it's out of the way location, fun ambience and incredible eats. It's definitely a go-to when that craving for a juicy, classic burger hits, and fortunately we have never been disappointed.

What a burger - the best in Melbourne . I have tried burgers at quite a few places and while the patty is good everywhere the flavours & the Sauce at grand trailer is to die for .<br/>
Doc
This place is an awesome feed and experience took me 10 mins to find the joint as it is upstairs and the 8 schooners I had beforehand. Ordered the Ivan Drago burger and it was a great burger $18? Worth not so much maybe with a small chips. Expresso martini’s are awesome #drunklife just the solution you need before watching the storm thrash parramatta!!!<br/>
Mad For Food
I really liked the vibe in this place. They are serious about there burgers so line up and order away. I loved seeing corporate types chomping down on their burgers. Those in our group who did the burger and shake combos probably slept the rest of the afternoon back in the office. The burgers were a good size and pattie well cooked. None of that oozy juicy mess you get from other places. There was debate at the table whether onion rings should be fat and juicy or crispy like done here. Either way they were gobbled up. Service was quick despite the long queues and great for a Friday group outing.

What an institution! Hands down one of the best burger joints in Melbourne! Dani Zeini is definitely a man who knows how make people hungry for more burgers!

It was hard to find this place. I didn’t know that the restaurant was upstairs. The design of the interior is pretty cool, and the staff was very sociable.<br/>The burgers are quite expensive but delicious.<br/>They sells other food such as waffles and drinks. I love looking out the window while enjoying my burger.

My fav burger restaurant in Melb. Today's burger is a spin on their fav, the (Keto) Chunk Double Double.McDowell @grandtrailerpark 🍔 @geekevangelist .<br/><br/>THE CHUNK DOUBLE DOUBLE<br/><br/>Two premium Aussie beef patties, double American cheddar cheese, caramelised onion, jalapeños, sliced pickles, American mustard & tomato sauce with custom lettuce bun<br/><br/>#grandtrailerparktaverna #gtp #atthepark #melbournefood #melbourneburgers #burgersofmelbourne #keto #lettucebun #melbournefoodie #thatburgergrip #burgers #hamburgers #burgerporn #foodporn #foodcoma #foodgasm #instafood #instaburgers #igmelb #melbourneeats #melbeats #igmelbourne #bar #melbournebar

We ordered the splice and blue heaven milkshakes at this restaurant. Both milkshakes are disappointing and equally disgusting. From the appearance, we could already tell how artificial the colour is. The splice tastes like the slurpee from 7eleven and the blue heaven tastes like fake blueberry.
㊙️ The Traveling Foodie
Juicy burgers and pack on lunch. Got a table quickly and meals were quick .<br/><br/>Fries are extra and bit on pricy side for just a burger.<br/>Great Thanos burger with loaded cheese fries .<br/><br/>
Melbourne Food Finds
Super cute themed restaurant/bar! <br/>Would definitely come again just for the atmosphere and ambience on a weekend night. <br/><br/>Heard great things about the milkshakes and had to give them a try. Tried strawberry and bluehaven which did not disappoint. Perfect mix of sweetness and milk, not too overpowering. <br/><br/>A great place to spend the a chill weekend night!
Burgerman77
Great atmosphere and excellent service. We went as a large group on a busy weekend night and had no issues finding a cool booth. Burgers are good, hard to pick only one - will be back!
Kris L
The 90’s American diner decor here is amazing! You get to sit in booths akin to a trailer park. The burgers are yummy (sadly we were too hungry so I didn’t get to take pictures) with a good variety of drinks. Also, I highly recommend their spiked milkshakes - delicious and hits the spot!
Derrick Lim
Man! Everything is nice with this burger. Soft and slightly toasted bun, huge patty, juicy nice flavourful, great combination of cheddar cheese as well as crunchy bacon that don’t get messy when you bite. Best burger in town i suppose, maybe even in the country. Great cozy place as well. Will definitely come back for more!
A Traveler From Twilight Zone
I have been here quite a few times and every time was positive experience. The burger buns were soft and fresh; beef patties were juicy, tender; bacon was crispy. Greatest burger joint so far
Suhujana
Interior is inspired by caravan park, it has a very hipster vibe to it. It’s definitely not the best burger place in Melbourne. Burger patty is very good but complicated ingredients are not on the same level, making it overall pretty average.

Had small fries + CB1 burger delivered using ubereats. The beef patty is juicy, overall the burger is so tasty. The chips still crispy and good✨✨✨✨ portion wise: medium :) pretty filling too

One of my favourite places for a burger and a beer in Melbourne. Ordered the Thanos burger, the mac and cheese croquette was nice without being overly rich.
Kevin & Emily
Upon entering The Grand Trailer Park, we were greeted by perhaps one of the most personable and enthusiastic blokes in the business! This made for a warm welcoming start to our meal. Seated promptly in an ambient, american-esq establishment, we quickly scoured the menu and found what we were after.<br/><br/>Emily ordered the first burger on the menu, whilst I ordered a special 'Terminator' burger with double everything, bacon, egg... A true monster fitting for a post Birthday feed, topped with some chips. The burgers themselves were best described as juicy. Genuinely some of the juiciest burgers we have had, and definitely the largest. Good flavours, fresh meat patties and delicious schnitz-like chips made for a classic Melbourne burger experience. The burgers were so big that we began to taste less and less as we neared completion, however still a great experience.<br/><br/>To summarise the tastes if the burgers, it is your classic burger taste; everything you love about burgers with added juicy factor and size. Great service and ambience too, can see why it is so popular!<br/><br/>Food: 4/5<br/>Service: 5/5<br/>Ambience: 4.5/5<br/>Value: 4/5<br/><br/>Overall: 4/5

Heard this place for long time and we got to try this place on Friday night after the play, even their burger abit pricy, but definitely worth it

Came here after a few too many drinks and was in the mood for a greasy burger! <br/><br/>Great place to come if you fancy a burger. It was very filling. Was recommended the atomic burger!<br/><br/>Nicely decorated
Sinfully Delicious
One of the best burgers I have had. I tried the special burger of the day - renegade which so damn good. Hopefully they add it to the menu. To wash it down I went went with kinder surprise with fragellico and baileys which too easy to drink whereas my sister had the splice with alcohol and it was too strong and bright lime colour.
FoodieLovelove
Vegetarian burger was so good. Crispy chick peas as the patty - I never imagine I could still be satisfied with a vege burger that would make me want to come back ! Good job !
Andrea Leong
Been here a couple of times, currently one of my go-to for a decent beef burger. <br/><br/>Their beef patty hasn’t failed me so far, juicy and tender. Prefer sitting at the outside overlooking the city while I enjoy my burger. Nice food, nice view - perfect combination!
Gee
3.5<br/>Another burger place in the Melbourne lineup. Haven’t been here for at least a year and made another appearance today. The burgers are good - don’t get me wrong. But at $19 you’d expect them to be bloody amazing! Always fairly busy though and staff are friendly. One negative - the table was so sticky and dirty, our elbows were sticking to it. Makes you wonder.....
Some Bunee Loves Food
Burgers are ok here. The meat patty is very juicy and huge. The place is decorated nicely with wooden shed like arches for seats. Lunch can be very busy and a long wait. The place is upstairs so might need to look out for it.
Joberzfood
If you can’t already tell from the photos, yes this place is amazing 🌟🍔 <br/>Their location is not seemingly obvious from the outside, but I think that’s what makes it so cool once your inside.. because it is just soooo cool😎 <br/>I was a little overwhelmed from all the options on the menu, which for a diehard foodie is pretty exciting😅 <br/>I ended up going for one of the more simpler burgers (for once in my life, I didn’t feel like eating my own body weight, very weird for me) which I’m happy about as it wasn’t over complicated and the simplicity of the ingredients really worked nicely together 🙌🏻<br/>Great service and the best burgers... 10/10❤️<br/><br/>Joberzfood🍔<br/>(Follow me on insta, you won’t regret it😁)
Gilbert Catuncan
Great burgers, ordered the Thanos which had a unique taste and option as it had Mac in cheese inside which was delicious, since it was Halloween I liked how the employees and environment <br/>was catered to the Halloween theme.
Blu Hand
Ok so I met up with a friend before a show last night. I Thought great! A new burger joint in the city! <br/><br/>I like my burgers simple but satisfying …as Anthony Bourdain said “ I good burger is one that you can hold with one hand” so I chose the CB1 as appeared to be a the most traditional American Burger ( looked at the KSA but it appeared to be practically the same with the addition of a slice of tomato and “special burger sauce for $5.50 more)<br/><br/>Anyway….It was awful! It was not dissimilar to a Maccas Cheese Burger, just slightly larger. And It appears a slightly sweet bun with an egg washed–top these days can be passed of as a “Brioche Bun”? ( by the way in my opinion Brioche Buns…even good ones don’t make good burger buns).<br/><br/>It cost $10. Yes, $10 just for the for a (Maccas style) Burger. I was left unsatisfied and hungry. If I had had time, I would have ordered one of the more fancier burgers like the $ 18 THANOS to compare.<br/><br/>I also had the tap beer (Boags)………….it was flat...really flat.<br/><br/>After the show, I went into McDonald’s just to compare and satisfy to myself I wasn’t exaggerating……and yep!.....Cheeseburger. Only this time I didn’t pay 10 bucks. Now that's satisfying.<br/><br/>Service was fast and friendly.
Sankar
Had a vegetarian Thanos burger. Hurt my jaw while trying to fit the enormous burger in my mouth. Was not disappointed! Being a chickpea based burger the burger itself was not that juicy but the accompanying flavors more than compensated. Good place for a quick snack.
Places I Eat
Had the David Chang burger with chips and onion rings. The burger was great, had lots of flavour and kind of tasted like McDonald’s. However, $19 for a burger is a bit expensive. The chips were good and great value for money, The onion rings were slightly over cooked and a little bit over battered. Only annoying thing is the tomato sauce that the sides comes with is impossible to open! Will come again.
Jeremy K
Very legit burger in the city, highly recommended. One of the best burgers I've had in Melbourne. Great place for a group -- the booths are huge and comfortable.
Phillip Huynh
Came here on a Friday night with a friend and we had the David Chang and Atomic burger, and were blown away with how good it was. Highly recommend this place if you’re after a burger and a social drink with friends.

Real rating 4.5 ⭐️ <br/><br/>Those who have been to The Grand Trailer Park would agree with me that the burgers there are better than most burger places! 🍔 we have been there twice and here’s what we had!<br/><br/>KSA - the classic for those who are not able to decide. The yummy patty accompanied with cheddar cheese, tomato, butter lettuce, special burger sauce and American mustard - what could go wrong? This simple combo would do justice for the first timers who are unfamiliar with this joint or who are not big eaters!<br/><br/>Atomic - now here’s where the fun starts! If you want more meat, the atomic will blow you away! Loaded with a beef patty, chili cheese kransky, streaky bacon, etc (you can look at the menu), this baby are for those who are starving or who just wants just a challenge! It may sound dirty but it’s tasty as hell! The combo just works and the flavors do not overcompensate each other!<br/><br/>Thanos - another level up and you have thanos! Similar to the KSA but with an addition of a Mac and cheese croquette, this monster will fill you up real quickly! Useful to the cheese lovers out there, this was my favorite amongst all the burgers I’ve had during my visit! For some reason, mac and cheese works!<br/><br/>Overall, The Grand Trailer Park does well in their burgers and I would like to try their desserts next!
Foods Of Melbourne
Having heard amazing things about this place I was so excited to go, and it definitely lived up to expectations! I had the thanos, with home made sauce and bacon - the burger was ridiculously impeccable! All the flavours were amazing and I loved it. I really wanted to give this place a 5 star but the Mac n cheese croquette wasn’t anything crazy special and was a little over cooked and we had the beef loaded cheese fries and the fries were terrible :( 100000% I’ll be back for a burger and cocktail (the apple pie 🍸 was awesome) but fries were a massive let down
Ryan
Travelled the world and eating many many burgers and this place is still in the top. Pay it a visit. The burgers are juicy and the drinks are great.

My Rating: 3.5<br/><br/>This is my 2nd visit to The Grand Trailer Park. First time was a couple of years ago when the burger craze was at it's peak. Decide to come back here again for their burgers. My friend and I came here one night after work for dinner. <br/><br/>🔆LOCATION🔆<br/>The Grand Trailer Park is located on Bourke Street on the corner of Exhibition street. A really great location but also a little hidden because its upstairs.<br/><br/>The decor is awesome, takes you back to the 70's/80's American style diner set up. Love it with the lights, chandeliers, even the bar and order counter looks like an actual trailer (aka caravan or what we can nowadays food truck)! Love it! <br/><br/>The tables have abundant supply wet wipes, napkins. Looks like they're aware that eating a burger can be a little messy! haha! <br/><br/>🔆SERVICE🔆<br/>The staff are very friendly and helpful. Tables were cleared promptly.<br/><br/>MENU/PRICE🔆<br/>The main highlight of course are their burgers. The names of the burgers are quite interesting and a nice change from traditional fillings.<br/><br/>My friend is vegetarian so unfortunately he had to order the chickpea Patty as replacement for CB1 burger for $10.00<br/><br/>My friend mentioned that a while ago they used to have a very tasty mushroom burger but that has been taken off the menu. We spoke with the lady behind the counter and she was apologetic and even the guy that delivered our order to the table he was like "you're not the only one that's been asking about the Mushroom burger". <br/><br/>I ordered:<br/><br/>The Atomic Burger, $18.50(Premium Aussie beef patty, American cheddar cheese, caramelised onion, streaky bacon, BBQ sauce, truffle cayenne mayo on a toasted brioche bun)<br/>Mac & Cheese Croquette, $4.50<br/>Banana Milkshake, $8.50<br/><br/>🔆VERDICT🔆<br/>Love the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant, awesome vibe! My burger was very tasty with lots of flavour however the cost of the burger is very pricey! Enjoyed the milkshake, it was yummy! Bring back mushroom burger option!!!
Rajat
I would like to recommend The Grand Trailer Park Taverna specially for their burgers, unique ambience and very loving staff. Balcony let you enjoy the great view of the Bourke Street with sip of cold beer.
Kathrynd
my friends and i went here as pre theatre dinner. suffice to say we were blown away by the amazing burgers, fries and desserts we got. i ordered the thanos burger (which i couldn't finish it was so massive) and the mix of the perfectly cooked party and the mac n cheese croquette was so delicious- and filling. the atmosphere as well was amazing- didn't even feel like we were in the city. 100% would come back again
Jackson
I quite enjoy this place, the beef patties are great and the environment is fun.<br/><br/>The only let down is the change in specials (read as I can't get the Renegade Burger anymore and the standard menu burgers are kind of samey, so the loss of that awesome special kinda eliminates a lot of interest. At least until another decent special comes along).
Angel Khong
Grand Trailer Park served sinfully delicious American-style burgers. The patty was cooked to perfection, the portion was generous. The desserts (Nutella waffles!) were just as delicious, although when it was delivered to our table, the ice cream was already all melted. Loved the layout of the eatery; wooden themed with beautiful graffiti all over the walls.
Flying Forward
Open for a few years now during the time Melbourne went through its burger craze. Juicy American style burgers cooked medium with a nice crust from the flat grill. All the burgers use a brioche bun which is soft and lightly sweet and buttery.<br/><br/>The Atomic includes a split open chilli cheese kransky, which is love, but the skin of the kransky is a little hard to get through in one bite.<br/>There are lots of tables, some booths and some balcony seating as well. It's a greasy, satisfying burger fare and one of the better burger joints in Melb.
Mad Dawg
Ordered the Mcdowell and onion rings. The bun was fresh and and soft. The two different cheeses paired beautifully with the patties. The sauce was delicious. Shoutout to the waiter who had a special way of annoucing when the food arrived. Only minor downside was the lining up to order food.
Josephine
I think I have found my new favourite burger joint. I have tried to come here a number of times but there is alway a long wait before you could get a table, but finally! I got to try it. I got the 'atomic' as the chilli cheese kransky tickled my fancy & I have never seen any other burger place that served a kransky in their burger. My oh my, it ticked all the right boxes! It was soooo good! I especially loved the truffle cayenne mayo that came with it! The bf had the 'thanos' which had a mac & cheese croquette in it and he enjoyed it. He did mention that he preferred my one after a bite. Definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu and their shakes!

Situated on the first level of a building so it is somehow hidden, however they decoration which relates to the brand name looks great. There are plenty of choices for burger craving. Alcohol is also available.

Love the causal but hip vibe.<br/>We sat in the outside are that is covered and with heating for the colder nights. Was nice people gazing while eating out burgers.<br/>The burgers were definitely one of the better ones we've had!! Great flavour and value for the money. We got the Thanos and Jorje.<br/>I prefer the Jorje as I feel the flavour balance was definitely better. The roasted capsicum and chilli relish helped to cut down any heaviness and fatty of the patty+chorizo.<br/>The Thanos is quite a heavy burger with the added mac and cheese croquette. Felt that it needed something to help breakdown the oilness and make it a bit more fresh. But still a good burger of your hungry and up for the extra carbs!!!

Amazing for after work drinks and burgers, the Thanos burger is great - but make sure you are HUNGRY! The Atomic burger you can't go wrong with - it's a classic. Make sure you call in advance or get in a little early, can get really busy especially on a Friday! Service is great and fast!

I’ve tried two burgers so far - the Chunk Double Double and Thanos (pictured). Both great burgers, a bit on the expensive side considering it doesn’t come with any fries, but still quite worthy. I’ve heard much about their milkshakes so that’s definitely on my try list for next time!

We visited from Brisbane & found this place on Zomato. It was AMAZING!! Ordered the KSA burger & onion rings. Best burger. Would definitely recommend.

Really good vibe, very funky. Love the decor !<br/>Worth a visit but bear in mind that they only serve beef burgers (and chickpea burgers as a vegetarian option).<br/>Staff are friendly and helpful.

The only burger I am about at this joint is the cheeseburger. It is pretty serious with flavour and texture. The other burgers on offer are not my style. Big and wild and a bit to extra for me. Get in there if you want to attack a beast. The price for burgs is a bit higher than normal but it is a good spot. The decor is nice and it is always pumping. 4 stars for the cheesy!

Been here once before when visiting Melbourne and had a fantastic time. Scoped it out again tonight to show my burger-loving boyfriend just how good it was and were welcomed by a sign on the door stating they’ve sold out of ‘everything’. At 7:45pm on a Sunday night.... Coming from Perth we know how to deal with bad service but were absolutely not expecting it in Melbourne!!!!! Disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe our feelings :(

It's my third time coming to here and it's always has good food and friendly staff ! If you're ever down for a burger where you can relax and have a drink with you friend (or "more than friend") than I would recommend.<br/>Only reason for the four star was that I grew tired of the music and asked the staff to play the new drake album but to my dismay, they have no control of the music. Will change once the music improves :)

Order: Atomic (burger), chips and salted caramel shake. <br/><br/>Very tasty burger! The American style burger was definitely on point and every ingredient complemented one another beautifully. The bread was of high quality with sesame which I always prefer with a burger. The kransky definitely added a special flavour to the burger which I liked a lot.<br/><br/>The beer battered chips was incredibly fried, whereas the thin layer outside was crunchy but the inside was soft and fresh. <br/><br/>The shake is outta this world!? With maple bacon topped on top, every sip and bite added a very delicious experience I’ve never encountered before. The shake itself was thin, closer to milk consistency but had a very distinguished caramel and creamy taste which was amazing.<br/><br/>Nice restaurant and location, brings a good throwback vibe, friendly and smiling staff which helped out a lot.<br/><br/>Although it was slightly pricey, it is one of the better burger places I’ve been to in Melbourne and also the first burger place to receive a 5 star from me. Loved every moment spent at Grand Trailer Park!<br/><br/>Highly recommended!<br/>

This was my first burger in Melbourne and it did not disappoint. You know it's a good burger when you take a bite and it feels like heaven. I would put this place on par with Burger Project so better than Mr Burger, Huxtaburger or 8Bit. In my opinion, everything was perfect. I also love the decor, funky and cool. It was super busy on a Friday evening with a queue and I can see why.

Ordered the chuck-double double. Came with double beef patty and cheese. Very delicious and juicy. Staff are friendly. Love their decorations and ambience. Overall, we enjoy our burger.

Awesome experience here. The decor is retro, fun and interesting with a cool outdoor area overlooking bourke st and the service so friendly. <br/>We started with two alcoholic shakes. OMG... so good. Definitely strong and delicious.. I got the salted caramel maple bacon with bourbon which was heavenly, served with a piece of maple bacon which was interesting and complemented it well. My partners kinder surprise shake came with a kinder surprise on top which was awesome and that was just as delicious. Pricey at $21 but worth it especially if your first time. <br/>I loved my ksa burger... was really fulfilling and tasty for their most basic burger. Love their burger sauce and it is not too greasy. <br/>My partner also loved his chunk burger although he said he might have preferred some lettuce or something to break up the heaviness of the burger. <br/>Their chips are also great, we tried their siracha mayo and it was very good. Overall so impressed and will be back!

Came here on a Busy Friday! Book early or go early to grab a table and to order. This is clearly one of the most popular burger joints in the city. <br/><br/>My favourite is the atomic burger. The burgers are juicy, delicious and have the perfect bun to hold it all together.
The.Top.Lifestylee
Really nice burgers and place. Loved the decor with the trailers. It was a lovely addition. Loved the cheese croquettes you could add to burgers. Would have loved a chicken burger as there was only beef and vegetarian options.

I love this place. The food is bomb and the venue itself has one of the most creative layouts in Melbourne. Staff are also always ridiculously good. 🖤🖤🖤

Easily one of the top places for Burgers in the Melbourne CBD! Grand Trailer Park Taverna do all kinds of different burgers, shakes, sides and specials!<br/><br/>Here we have some of my favourites, The Thanos Burger, McDowell Burger and Atomic Burger! Not to mention, the must have Kinder Chocolate Shake! Reasonably priced burgers and shakes in the CBD with fairly large serving sizes. Extremely easy to get to and pretty easy to find. Plenty of seating inside and the staff are amongst one of the friendliest people I've encountered.<br/><br/>Do yourself a favour and try them out yourself!
Mattdick94
This place is hard to knock! The atmosphere, the location, the burgers, the dessert the service! All unreal!<br/>The reputation of these burgers speak for them self but well worth giving them a try!<br/>
Cheesy.boys
Without a doubt one of Melbourne’s best restaurants. GTP is the first place we recommend friends visiting from interstate to go. The burgers and sides are all of high quality, staff are friendly too which makes it such a nice dining experience. <br/>Try their ‘thanos burger’, the mac n cheese croquette is like no other!

I came past the grand trailer park taverna today around lunchtime and whilst it took a while for me to understand the concept, i quickly accepted it and enjoyed the scenery. The staff were very friendly and nicely explained the menu, now whilst the burgers were pretty expensive burger wise, my mcdowell was definitely a great option and I enjoyed my view on the balcony whilst eating my meal. All up a positive and worth while experience

One of the best burgers you can get in the CBD.<br/>The quality of the pattie is what makes it a winner every time.<br/>Been in the afternoons a few times, always get a burger and few sides and never disappointed.<br/>All I could say is the place is a bit dark so more ambiance is needed but I ain’t there for that.<br/>If the foods this good I’m coming back and telling you and friend about it. 4.5/5

We arrive early and are shown straight to our booth. Bit dark, a bit vinyl, no atmosphere. But it is early. And we’ve got to order drinks and food at the bar. I so love that. Not.<br/><br/>We order burgers (there isn’t anything else to order). I have the Jorje, which is really quite pleasant. We also get the onion rings (which turn out to be the highlight) and chips with beef and cheese (which are soggy, flavourless and yuck). The thickshakes are awesome.<br/><br/>The waitress tried really hard to make up for lots of things. She’s tops. Whereas the guy at the door who also clears the plates is a bit of a wally. Can’t win them all. <br/><br/>The churros dessert was tasty, but more like a Hungarian kurtosh than churros. Kids devoured their beef/cheese burger, so that’s something.<br/><br/>This place is exactly like every other burger place that’s also trying so hard to be different. It’s not.

We were seated in the trailer so it had a private booth kinda vibe (which I like!). I had the McDowell burger. It was honestly amazing. The best burger I’ve had in a while too. I recommend this place! Would love to go for seconds but sadly I don’t live in Melbourne 😞
Jo Johnson
Really funky place that has awesome burger and shakes, cant go past the McDowell burger and salted caramel shakes are super tasty. Can be really busy at peak times but worth the wait.
Desiree
Fantastic burger joint with great atmosphere and vibe. Burgers were great. The deep fried Oreos were a bit sickly sweet. I feel like it would have been better accompanied with ice cream rather than the caramel sauce.
Thuyteeisaboy
Got the Thano burger tonight and it was quite good! Im not usually a fan of Mac and cheese but this worked for me. The burger wasn’t too greasy either. Simple yet delicious. Great place for group catchups.
Andy Loves Food
Overall a nice place for a awesome burgers! Would be great if chicken patty is also introduced to cater to wider spectrum of foodies. Thumbs up for taste and drink options. Cheers to friendly staff.

Pros: The burger I got was amazing! Environment setting is neat! Cons: Seats are different sized heights & large coke wasn’t all that large.

Located Bourke street , second floor . The customer service is great and friendly. Order the burger , chips , onion ring and waffle, taste nice , thumbs up . Price is reasonable . Cheers .

Really good burgers. The mac and cheese one is amazing. Can't wait to go back! Can't book and gets busy, but haven't waited long for a table either time we went there.

I love the burgers at Grand Trailer Park and the location can’t be beat. Neither can the interior: not just a trailer park in name but in interior design as well. So very cool and a bit of a novelty. The cocktails are delicious, the burgers are delicious (order one with the Mac and cheese Croquette) and the desserts are worth saving room for!
Chris
I'm normally a 2 burger kind've guy but the price tag on these cheeky animals kind've forced me into getting chips instead. Not that I can't afford it but $40 for basically a fast food lunch is getting up there. Anyway weirdly enough this turned out to be very serendipitous, and specifically I'm talking chilli cheese chips. Get them. Trust me.<br/>Burger wise I had the Chunk - Double Double. I think I'm missing the reference with the name because that's an awkwardly named burger. But what it lacks in name, it makes up for in taste. Big fan.<br/>Very close to being my equal 2nd fave burger in Melbs.<br/><br/>Handily enough this place is directly above my new gym so I'll have to go back a few times, just to make sure I got my rating correct of course.
Jess
This restaurant is very retro. The artwork, layout and atmosphere is worth a visit! It can get busy I did go on a Saturday night in which it was very packed so maybe book ahead. The food was delicious the macaroni burger was something different and tasted great along with a side of onion rings. Give it a go
The Hand That Bites
Consistently good burgers here and the fries are great. I've been a few times now and I even took a few friends. The presentation is always good here and you can tell they take pride in their food. The patties are good quality and everything tastes fresh. The service is great, plus the restaurant looks really cool. <br/><br/>I've had The Chunk and The Mcdowell burgers. The Chunk was made up of two premium Aussie beef patties, double American cheese, caramelised onion, jalapeños, sliced pickles, American mustard and ketchup. <br/><br/>The McDowell is made up of two premium aussie beef patties, double American cheddar cheese, double swiss cheese, lettuce & McDowell sauce (which tastes like tartare sauce). It's a double sandwich style burger on a toasted brioche roll.<br/><br/>I'll definitely be back for a few more burgs.<br/>

This is an American-style burger joint, with a funky casual interior. We had the Korean Fried Chicken and the Francis Underwood burger. The Korean Fried Chicken was slightly spicy, juicy and well-cooked. The burger was one of the best I've had; an American-style burger that was not greasy, with a delicious Mac n Cheese patty. I highly recommend coming here and trying the food. The only downside was that we came here on a very hot day, and the air conditioning was very weak.

We discovered the burgers here last night and they are just delicious. Best burger I've eaten in many a year (and I had the simplest, KSA) with the meat actually meat, the additions perfectly balanced. We will certainly be back soon.

Grand Trailer Park is one of my favourite go-to burger joints in Melbourne, we celebrated my birthday as well as Valentine's day here! <br/>You are pleasantly surprised by the unique decor as soon as you walk in - the restaurant channels American "trailer parks" with trailer-like seating areas for large groups complete with edgy art and music (a mix of rap and pop). I spotted Pennywise the clown and Casper the friendly ghost on one of the walls...which is interesting in itself since its right underneath a huge, beautiful chandelier! <br/><br/>I also like the outdoor seating option, which is what we usually opt for during warmer days. Our favourite burgers to order are definitely the KSA original and (as of yesterday) the Thanos. The burger special sauce on the KSA is addicting - it is spicy and mustard-y with a lemony zing (best description since it IS the secret sauce recipe)!  <br/><br/>If you're on the lookout for a heavier burger, try the Thanos - its topped off with the Mac and Cheese croquette which was cheesy and had a delicious crust which comes with every good mac and cheese. It came with special sauce and buttered buns. The KSA burger is always good, and if it's your first time at the restaurant, try the KSA first. <br/><br/>Only one recommendation for the restaurant- to include a gluten-free burger bun option. They do provide a "lettuce-bun" for a healthier option.<br/><br/>NOTE: In 2017, we were told that the meat is Halal, but that there is no separation while cooking. As of Feb 2017, they told us that "halal cannot be guaranteed" because of the way beef supply system is set up. I hope the restaurant can ensure it has a halal option because the burgers are truly wonderful and a diverse range of people would love to try them. Management was courteous and suggested Royal Stacks in Brunswick as an option.

I had their most basic burger - the KSA. The taste and quality was fine, but I don't think it can justify a $14 price tag. The other burgers are all $17-18, which is a bit too high for me even by Melbourne's overpriced burger standards. The decor is cool and staff are casual and friendly.<br/>If the price was a bit lower then I would have given a higher score.
Melbourne Epicure
Really nice burgers here. Simple menu, good bread, nice beers on offer. I usually order the Atomic as I love that truffle-cayenne mayonnaise the use and the cheese kransky goes great with the burger. If you order the Francis Underwood (got to love the name!), I find the mac & Cheese croquette to just be too hard to eat whilst inside the burger and also that it lacks a bit of salt so what I do is, I take the Mac&Cheese patty out, add a bit of salt and maybe some drops of Tabasco sauce and eat it on its own as an entree and then I have my burger. You're welcome! Recommended for burgers in the city.
