Review Seven Seeds - Melbourne

Daryl “Dino”
Ambiance has nice colors - brown and a tinge of green here and there, aesthetic homely vibes - a less modern take. Coffee was fruity and bright - house blend of Ethiopian and Guatemala I believe. Service staff were really friendly! Food was quite decent, had the waffle benny with added hash, and a spiced lamb.

Super cool venue! It’s quite big, yet still warm, cozy and really inviting. The staff were lovely and helpful and the coffee was great! There’s heaps of retail and coffee related stuff which is awesome and they’ve set it all up nicely so it’s not overwhelming. Awesome venue!

A regular place to have a cup of good white coffee and brunch. Also, they sell high-quality and stunning filter beans. Reasonable prices. A must try cafe in Melbourne.

In my opinion, here is sure to be the best cafe in Melbourne. Needless to say, coffee is amazing, and food is good as well. I become happy when I find the coffee roasted by Seven Seeds in other cafes.

the hotspot for Melbourne University student who like to sit and chill during breaks. Huge cafe, comfortable seating and the highlight is coffee. There is a wide variety of coffees to choose from. They import coffee from all over the world. Let me tell you that coffee lovers shouldn't miss it. Really delicious coffee

The coffee shop is inside and old factory building and have amazing decoration and layout. The coffee was perfect, creamy and amazing Crema. Food was very interesting and tasty, really recommend eggs Benny, but is heavier than it looks so don't ask for any extra side thinking that is would not be enough :) ( like I did)

Believe it or not I visited Seven Seeds shortly after arriving in Melbourne. Boy oh boy, did they set the bar high for the other cafes I was due to visit later. Their latte was executed perfectly and I swear I don't think I've had any coffee as good as theirs! Their eggs waffles was something I was new to and their hollandaise certainly put an interesting twist to things. Would definitely recommend Seven Seeds to people who haven't tried it yet!

🥕 Autumn Hash 🍳 The Benedict Sevens Seeds is an industrial-chic cafe and mini-roaster located in the quiet backstreets of Carlton, renowned for having some of the best coffee in town. They are regularly busy, yet it has a very relaxed vibe and staff are always friendly. Just reading through their all-day seasonal Winter menu I felt warm, it is smaller than most but far from basic. The Benedict was perfectly executed, one of the best I’ve had in Melbourne I would say. The Autumn Hash also packed in enough flavour and pleasant, textural elements. I would definitely say this is a must-visit, and a reliable brunch destination.

Insta: melbfoodie_mark
YT: MelbFoodieMark
** Check them out for more food reviews in Melbourne!
-
Undoubtedly one of the best brunch cafes in Melbourne! I really liked their spacious warehouse-style interiors with friendly staff on site. I am not really a huge fan of brunch but we ended up having their famous "Eggs and Waffle Benedict" ($18) and "Crab Scramble" ($24).
.
Eggs and Waffle Benedict = Basically a waffle stuffed with smoked ham hock and cheddar cheese with 2 poached eggs on top - finished off with chipotle hollandaise sauce. It tasted ok but the moisture from smoked ham and cheese inside made the waffle a bit too soggy. And I definitely think that they could've thrown in an extra egg considering the size of the waffle. But of course, beautiful presentation!
.
Crab Scramble = Chili salsa, coriander & mint salad, crispy garlic & shallots, szechuan pepper caramel on toast. In terms of taste, I'd rather choose this one over benedict. A decent portion with mild spicy kicks. I really enjoyed this experimental fusion style dish - layers of different taste profiles from contrasting ingredients coming together beautifully as a whole :) .
Overall, not bad but kinda expected more considering its popularity. Probably won't visit anytime soon but definitely a pleasant experience everytime I go.

Great brunch spot in Carlton with constant flow of customers. Suitable for hanging out rather than studying, since there will always be loud music and a load of people gathering. Great food and service overall!

Tldr:
The potato hash is recommended. The most crisp outer with a perfect mash inside.

A nice woodern interior cafe with a large amount of seating.

Soy chai latte - smoothe texture with concentrated chai.

The warm winter greens consisted mostly of the stems of the greens making parts of the dish bitter. The roasted sweet potato was perfect adding the sweetness. Minimal popcorn tofu but the crisp and flavour was exceptional.

THe eggs were perfectly cooked with layers
Connie
Honestly thought this place was super overrated. Heard good things about it but overall experience was average.
Tried the chilli scramble with roti- roti was nice but the raw green onions tasted really bad with the eggs.
Also shocked they had a weekend surcharge of 10% ...

Must have been bad ventilation in the kitchen as well because left smelling like smoke.
Steph
Decided to try their takeaway coffee since they are known for good coffee. Definately met my expectations. At $4.4 for a regular coffee ☕️ , it’s definately worth every penny.

Great coffee

Friendly service and great menu. Chilli scrambled eggs are awesome. Coffee is really good and service is quite fast. Quirky and cool.

Unfortunately didn't get to try the food but if you're looking for good coffee then look no further than this beauty!

Cute interior. Chai latte ($4.5) made with actual tea and not powder. I loved my eggs and waffle Benedict ($18), which was a significant upgrade from the standard ham and cheese combo I knew and was expecting (though I don’t know why I thought “smoked ham hock” would be supermarket ham slices). I thoroughly enjoyed eating ham with fibres for the first time in a while. I also thought that it was a fairly innovative and unique dish. Sadly, both my poached eggs were overcooked, as can be seen in the photo.

3.7

I like how chill and spacious the area is, so it's good for bigger groups. The staff were pretty nice, though our drinks did take a tad bit of waiting.

Got the soy latte and it was quite good. It's not as milky as I'd like though, whileas the coffee itself was just good in terms of flavour, but I feel like it lacked something to make me really like it. My sis thought the same, but it's again our preferences.

Still, a pretty nice place to chill and have coffee

( follow for more!🌸)

xx,joelle.

Service was good. Friendly staff.

Nice venue, big space and wide tables. Quite nice for studying if you ask me!

Peas and Ham 3.5/5 - Overall a wonderful dish that has a good amount of peas and ham. The pesto was nice but didnt add too much flavour and overall the dish was a little flat for me. Each component on the dish was well cooked and crafted, but may be better if there was a little more salt. That being said, was a very healthy dish leaving me feel refreshed in the morning. Perhaps a little acidity to the dish will enhance its flavours as well! Perfectly poached egg and the ham was quite tasty. Prominent pork flavours in it. Overall good but not the best I've had.

Would love to come back and try their other dishes! Perhaps the benny next time.

coffee is always on point. Seasonal menus are always good, miss the chocolate banana brioche french toast. OG brunch in Melbourne still delivering the best
Gracie Ren
The most terrible chocolate I have ever experienced. The taste of the hot chocolate is soooooo wired and terrible. I think that is because there is no sugar in the cup. Then I bought another got chocolate from the other cafe and ask for some sugar. I added these sugar into the terrible hot chocolate. Nothing changed. I also bought two croissants which are famous. But for the ham croissant, it’s soooo salty and for the almond croissant, it tasted like a toasted bread. All the things are out of my reach. And the price is soooo experience. I hope they can really be improved in the future to match the high grade it is rated.
FoodieInMel
Lovely place, great vibe, been here couple of times, service was nice and friendly, the food were pretty nice, the coffee was nice, love the chai here super strong and spicy.

I had the chicken sandwich, it was yummy. And the home lemonade was delicious.

It’s was a bit warm and noisy. Food was great.
SouthEastEater
I frequent this place quite often as it is very close to uni. Coffee is very good and probably a reason why I go so often.

Food - one time I ordered the warm greens salad (can’t remember the exact name). The popcorn tofu and sweet potato crisps providing a textual element that contracted nicely with the cooked greens. This item was ordered without an egg.

Excellent coffee....a real gem on the outskirts of Melbourne city. Too bad we were in a rush and couldn’t sit down for long. Their Cubano is on my try list when I visit Melbourne next.
A
Coffee was 4/5 🙌
Granola probably 3/5, tasty at first but you get sick of it.
Waffle eggs benny 4/5, eggs were poached perfectly the hollandaise sauce was good and waffles were soft.
Eggs with bacon and toast 2/5, bread was average and bacon was cold, the eggs was fine.
Sleepysheep
Food is not as good as expected. small portion and too pricy
Hao Shan
Standing in front of the counter with numbers of staff members walking pass me like I’m invisible. I’m glad this is not the only cafe around this area
John M
It has been around for a long time, and for good reason. The food is always great, and the coffee is always outstanding, pretty much an expectation for a roastery. Worth the trek.
Greg
If you like an upbeat and busy atmosphere and waiting for an uncomfortable bar stool, this place is for you!

Coffee is good, but due to high volume, I feel enough care is not always taken. You get a sense that staff are run off their feet sometimes.

Food, although on the pricier side, is reliably good.

Oddly, my plate couldn’t even fit on the bar that I was seated at, so that’s poor design.

The space looks fantastic and tends to attract a crowd with an average age of early to mid 20’s. You virtually never see children and young families here.

Great place to take someone for a truly inner Melbourne experience, just don’t stay long as you’ll get a sore back with those hard stools!

Ps there’s sometimes a decent wait for the toilets too!
Simmyeats.Melb
I recently visited Seven Seeds and it has been on my radar for quite some time.

Fortunately, the wait time wasn't too long and my friends and I were seated at the back of the cafe which was very nice and comfortable. The space is really big and the cafe is pretty impressive aesthetically.

As I am loving my porridge this winter, I decided to order this and it was lovely. The roasted quince was something different and the cardamom custard prominent, the macadamia and brandy snap crunch was a nice highlight too, My friend ordered the chilli scrambled eggs which was apparently nice but no real chilli hit in it.

My cappuccino was ok, a little on the weak /milky side.

All in all a nice cafe, service was great too.
Belle Turner
Had the best service form lovely staff member Ben. Was super friendly!
Karina J
Delicious full flavoured and sophisticated coffee. My latte was milky, creamy and delicious without compromising the strength of the coffee.
Binsueat
I have been going to seven seeds since my day as a first year uni student and that was ages ago. Their coffee is still good and would keep getting it. But their food quality has declined, smaller portion and less tasty.
Naomi
Decor was trendy and the staff were lovely. However, despite the food being served quickly, all was underwhelming.

The chilli scramble was bland, carelessly tossed with a few pieces of spring onion and ironically ... missing chilli. The presentation of toast with avo and mushrooms was disappointing - lacking colour, garnish, seasoning and tasted dry.

All in all, definitely not worth the hype and it’s fair to say its popularity probably comes from its convenient location near Melb uni. The food itself? I can think of 10 better cafes all within proximity of the uni, and Seven Seeds sadly isn’t one of them.
Hanyue Zhang
Never go SevenSeeds
Carmen Hoac
Hype was not worth it.

The environment and decor was nice and cosy, staff were polite and quick with service.

THE FOOOOD however was such a disappointment. *Chilli egg scramble was bland, the shallots and green onion were the only evident flavours throughout the dish. I had to sprinkle a lot of salt on it to taste the egg.

*Egg waffle Benedict. Lacking in flavour and was just overall very average.

*The burger. Best of all 3 dishes. It had juicy flavours and all the components complimented eachother nicely.

Would I return? Probably not.

Croissant Addict
Lovely ambience but can get extremely crowded and noisy during peak hours. Still, it is a nice place to have a coffee and good brunch. Portions were satiating and food was tasty. I was pleasantly surprised by the spice in the eggs and waffle benedict; it was not too overpowering, but was enough to bring out another layer of flavour to the dish.
Gabrielle
It’s been a long time for me to revisit Seven seeds, last time i was still a freshman at uni. I think they’ve changed the menu. I got this truffle toast and it’s better than I’ve expected. The sauce is pretty amazing. I like it! I also ordered affogato, but I think the coffee in it was too sour for me.
Isabel
This is the place I bring visiting friends to when we go out to brunch. Coffee is consistently good, the space is cosy and welcoming, staff are friendly and attentive. On my last visit I had the chocolate french toast, which was pleasantly not overpoweringly sweet. The place gets very busy though, so try to get there before the brunch rush.
Gail CHENG
The coffee is above average but the food is disappointing & not made w care. Won’t come back again as there are too many choices in N melbourne w way better food & coffee.
Akosua
The food here never fails to disappoint! Been here many times & its always the same standard! Love it! we had the buttermilk crumpets and the cauliflower salad :) it was so good
Kritsaho
I am a big fan of seven seeds coffee as I live nearby the store. I visit there many times. But, I just feel disappointed about the food I ordered today, although the coffee was great as usual. The first one I got was definitely overlooked as picture, and the new one was undercooked as the chicken breast was still raw inside. It was fine. I still love drinking coffee there, but for the food, maybe I must carefully reconsider next time.
Lorenbligh
Outstanding service, excellent food, wonderful ambiance, lots of vegan options. High quality ingredients, well balanced meals and flavours. The only thing missing is wifi.
Sabina Aunedi
This place was amazing! I had brunch 8 hours ago and I’m still thinking about the food I ate.
I would highly recommend the crumpets or French toast.
The atmosphere and vibe was extremely chill and relaxing for a cold winters morning!
Blueberrypie
Came for lunch on a cold day. Ended up waiting for approx. 20mins for a table as bookings are not taken. When we got a table, it felt like the whole experience was rushed. We were rushed to order coffees, food and the plates were cleared as soon as we had put the cutlery down. The food itself felt very simple for the price. The environment was quite cold too. We could feel a breeze from where we were sitting and had to keep our puffers on. The customer service wasn't great as well. All in all, it wasn't as great an experience for us as it appears to have been for others.
Van Dat
I dont want to talk much cuz this cafe is very popular in Mel. This is the first time I am here and I just want to say that 7seeds is One of perfect places for coffee lovers.
TXY
The place wasn’t easy to locate for tourists but it’s near UniMelb. The waffle looked ordinary on the outside but there was actually bacon/ham inside, which surprised me! The staff were friendly as well so the overall experience was great!
FoodLoverQueenM
Very good place to share with friend. This is in Melbourne University area, not many people on weekend, was waiting for 15mins. Food and coffee delivered on time and yummy.
Lisa
Can't say no whenever this place is suggested. It's been an old favourite. The coffee and food are always good, generous servings and spacious seating. Definitely a must visit!
Deric Deng
Busy as usual, but coffee and food we ordered is way below our expectation. A simple iced latte, tasted like it’s been left over for long time, certainly not the coffee from a well known cafe. Egg my way with undercooked bacons and gamy halloumi, plus HAIR!!
April May
The Peas and Ham dish is absolutely delicious. Large filling portion size, fresh peas and the right portion of mint to add to the dish without being overwhelming. Definitely the kind of thing you likely wouldn't whip up yourself for breakfast at home which makes it even better in my book. My friend also thought my dish was 5*, although she had the eggs benedict with waffles and was disappointed. She expected more of a cheese flavour and more ham through the waffles but figured this was probably a personal taste thing.

🍳 eggs benny on waffles
🏚: Seven Seeds Coffee Roasters
📍: Carlton, Melbourne
💵: $18AUD
.
————————————————————
.
📝: Melbourne is full of good coffee spots. Still, there are a number of places that sit above the rest. Seven Seeds is undeniably among them. Be it their coffee or their food, Seven Seeds never disappoints.
.
❤️: You’ll be enveloped by the aromatic buttery, coffee aroma of the cafe the moment you step into the chic industrial room. And if you take a nice look, you’ll notice that nearly every single table ordered that one signature dish—eggs benny with ham hock on waffles. No need to ask why. It’s one of the best eggs benny you’ll find in Melbourne. That creamy hollandaise and oozing egg yolk that goes so well together is sure hard to beat.
————————————————————

We decided to visit this cafe as the first thing after arriving in Melbourne because of Josie North in Brisbane. It’s an interesting place. We had to wait for 10 minutes. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Food was very nice. We had roasted cauliflower and smashed avo.
They don’t have Zymil or lactose free dairy milk which was disappointing. I had almond coffee instead which was cold.
Katherine 13
Bit pricey but it’s good, the popcorn tofu is absolutely delicious and the hummus is so delicious that I almost lick the plate to get every bits of it
Insta : kateatseverything
Delicious food and great ambience. Been here several times, and the eggs and waffle benedict is always my go to order. One of the best brunch places in Melbourne!

Cute and cozy space in a renovated warehouse, an abundance of choices for food and great service. Seems like a popular hang out spot for uni students - good vibes!

Dishes pictured: Peas & Ham + Gravlax Salmon, both were delicious and portion sizes were perfect.

A favourite coffee hangout and brunch place as they’re always consistent in their coffee and I know hat I’ll always enjoy the food. Cosy atmosphere with a great buzz and vibe.
Amy Flood
A lovely brunch spot with a plentiful menu.

This was a solo brunch for me. And it was much enjoyed. The cafe is vast, sort of a warehouse space which I liked. It was very chill, the music was also great and the vibe was perfect.

I was shown to a counter table looking out the window. Immediately given water and asked if I would like a drink. Bonus points.

I ordered the roasted cauliflower. It was delicious! The cauliflower was charred nicely, the hummus was flavourful and I have never had popcorn tofu before but that was yummy. Crunchy nut mixed also added a textural contrast to the dish. I also had 2 poached eggs to accompany the dish. Both yolk porn worthy.

My only thing is somewhere on the menu I would like to see some green. A side of spinach/ kale/ broccoli would be great. Or even something green in this dish or a sprinkle of pomegranate just to give it some form of lift.

All in all it was ace.

9/10
Ellie@W
Hot spot and Excellent coffee. The dishes are fresh in good portion sizes. The price is a bit more for decor but flavor.
The service is overall polite and somehow distant in undertone: less smile, lower voice and ’accidental’ ignorance. Won't come back again.
Zhilin Luo
I thought that avocado smash is really basic for brunch.... don’t understand why it just taste so weird. Very raw avo with raw grass on top:)))) the combination is just so not right for me. Don’t know whether it is because the ingredient was bad that day. Hope other things will be better...
Ennis
With 2 friends
(Avocado smash:7.5
Bread is not soggy, avocado+lemon juice =amazing. Toppings are not my favourite, but the smash taste so good that I’ll just forget I hate carrots.)
Sarinasunwa
My friend and I shared the 2 dishes we choose, both really delicious! Not as filling as I had hoped it to be (imo) very nice decor, staff are polite and friendly.
Location was a bit strange to find as there’s no stick out signpost.
Hoping to come again, pricing is like any other brunch place (however I found it not filling enough).
Jodie Poh
Seven seeds never disappoints, definitely my go to coffee spot when in the area. The items in the menu always remains relatively constant with seasonal changes to the flavours/ingredients that go into each dish. Definitely drop by for a meal if in the area!

Favourites:
- Bacon and cheese waffle
- Fresh toast (no matter the toppings, they are all good)
Cafehoppingkids
Chicken Cubano ($16)
Open lamb sandwich ($20)
Overall ⭐️ 3.5/5 ⭐️
🍴Quite generous portions that made for a hearty brunch. The #chickencubano was a tasty filling sandwich with tender grilled chicken, bacon, dijon, red onions, pickles & mojo mayo. The #openlambsandwich had a delicious sauce of tzatziki, coriander chilli paste and crispy almonds (a bit middle eastern) but we found the lamb to be a bit bland & the dish to be slightly oily (but that’s just our personal preference & nitpicking). The coffee here is also pretty average in terms of flavour
📍@7seedscoffee, 114 Berkeley Street, Carlton, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
#cafehoppingkidsmelbourne

Eggs and Waffle Benedict (I get plus bacon) must be one of the best breakfast dishes from any restaurants in existence. The quality of the ingredients are high. The balance of the flavours are perfection. The consistency of the dish creation is always spot on. I get frequent cravings. Seven Seeds are always very busy and rightly so for a restaurant using such high quality ingredients in all of their menu. I love this place. You won't be disappointed no matter what you order here.
Emily Song
Don't know why they are so popular the rating is so high here...I just ordered the burger as i am a meat lover. the plating is nice but i just dont like the taste...Ordered a latte, is burnt....so disappointed.
BB Fairy
My friends and I have been here several times for brunch or just coffee. I like your coffee very much, which makes me have a different experience every time I come here. My friend also bought a lot of coffee beans. If it's brunch, I think it's above average. The environment is a distinctive space, bright and spacious, with some noise when there are many people, but with a good atmosphere of chatting.
Kelly Effendi
Coffee is absolutely amazing. Highkey the best coffee I've had in Melbourne, but their brunch dishes were lacking compared to other places. Location is super close to my uni as well so it's good to drop by, grab a cup of coffee, then head to class
Luke Summers
In an ever increasing competitive cafe scene, seven seeds continues to shine. A changing menu and new ideas keep this cafe fresh and current.
Bella
Good food selection, with some interesting and delicious twists on classic brunch dishes. Coffee is good, although can be a little too fruity (and acidic) for my taste (espresso). Service is mostly friendly and the place is almost always packed. Lots of share tables - definitely not for those wanting to be secluded!
Melbourne, Let’s Eat
All the food looked and smelled amazing here but I’ve always wanted to try the French toast here and it didn’t let me down. Coffee is just as good.
Service was friendly and efficient for a busy place like this on the weekend.
Yanyougongjd
I ordered takeaway coffee, and the girl behind the counter was being so rude! Disappointed. We saw her was only rude to Asian. I feel she is a racist. Will never come back to such awful place again
JDP79
Delicious coffee and great food menu to boot! Grabbed a ‘magic’ which was deliciously strong and just the right sort of bitterness. Had a pork belly burger which was spot on. Search for it and get there!!
Brody
Unfortunately had an almost inedible avocado smash with my partner that has left us both with stomach aches. The avocado was a watery consistency - very sloppy - and the only flavour from the whole dish came from the abundant sprouts and roughly chopped almonds. Not very pleasant. The extra poached egg we ordered was also watery with no flavour. Disappointing given the price.
Christine Cho
Arriving at Melbourne I had my first meal here and it was unforgettable. The food was amazing with healthy options. The eggs Benedict waffle was a treat and the mushroom dish was a delight. The last time I went I had the katsu burger and my friend a chicken cubano. Both were amazing.
Sienna Sayers
I loved this place! The food choice is exactly what you'd expect to see in a good Melbourne breakfast place. They have specialty coffee and it is amazing. Some of the menu items are simple but awesome. Really a good place to enjoy some coffee and good services. Probably wait for some time for a cup of coffee but totally worth it.
Charles Dexter
I really like this place! Super cool with high ceiling and lots of seats. The service was good and effective. The hollandaise sauce was to die for. Totally like the whole place. Also tried their Iced Chai Latte for my drinks and it was great. Overall experience was so good and I would definitely come back.
Donniechu
Busy cafe, definitely not the best spot to have super private chats. Luckily we went for the food and were not disappointed. Friendly staff made us feel very welcome, famous ice choc topped with ice cream was divine. Flavors of the dishes were really well rounded. Still thinking about them as i fall asleep.
The Gluten-Free Foodie
Coffee was good and the wait staff were lovely. I enjoy the location and the feel of the space. It is very noisy, somewhat uncomfortably so. They have tried to combat this by encouraging social coffee drinkers to sit in a separate section to those having weekday lunches. I’d like to say the menu was original and fresh but it had limited GF options that are also vegetarian or FODMAP appropriate. My meal was a little lackluster. I had the mushrooms with eggs.
Sarah
Short queue on a Sunday late lunch time, got seats in 10 mins. Ordered Mushrooms and Benedict, we liked the Mushrooms. Savoury granola was yummy, crispy potatoes were good and mushrooms were plump and cooked well. Heard coffee was good, but only one of us ordered a mocha, so probably not going to be a useful review for coffees. Had a home-made sparkling iced tea which was a light, botanical soda tea which was quite refreshing.
FattyM
Heard many great things about seven seeds prior to coming in so had super high expectations but unfortunately was let down slightly.

I ordered the mushroom dish with hash and for $19 I just could not justify it. There were 3 hashes and they were just too greasy. It did not sit in my stomach well and there was no acidity to cut it. Oil again was probably used to sauté the mushrooms so my mouth was just filled with grease towards the end.

I also ordered a mocha and either my taste buds were whack that day or something but there was an alcoholic hint. Asked for another one but it was still the same so not too sure why that was the case.
Descartesmuse
I loved this place. The staff are classic Melbourne, they just get it. The food choice is exactly what you'd expect to see in a good Melbourne breakfast place.. as in you slightly surprised to see what's on the menu, but you give it a go for the adventure. Coffee is great. Highly recommend.
Jianne Yong
At this point, I’m only gonna review the coffee!

I ordered the Iced Latte with Macadamia Almond Milk (that’s what they kept calling it lmao)

I didn’t order the food so I’m hoping the next time I try it here, it may change my view 🤷🏻‍♀️

Maybe... I’m not too used to their almond milk bc it had alot of... residue? I’m not sure what to call it but it just had alot of bits... and it wasn’t the most pleasant.

The atmosphere was nice tho and I’d definitely return! The service was pleasant too so that’s a plus!

I’d return but for the food next time rather than the coffee (which honestly surprised me bc they are in relation to Patricia’s and i LOVE patricia’s)
Michan
I’ve been here so many times and the item I order every time is the eggs Ben waffle. It’s just the best savoury waffle I’ve ever had- crunchy cheesy meaty and has a Spicy kick. The coffee is amazing too!
Eat_today_diet_tomorrow
This cafe was my all time favourite back when I was studying at Melbourne uni. Because it is so close to our faculty. I always go there for brunch wit my friends. They have specialty coffee and it is amazing! Some of the menu items are simple but yum.

Sometimes they have coffee making class as well, which is fun to watch

Eggs and waffle Benedict was so interesting! The coffee is pretty good here. Flat white was done right and no sugar required. Nice place for brunch.

I'll admit I was concerned. I knew this place by reputation as a hipster's paradise. Inside the entrance, two bicycles hang on the wall. Not at a practical height that would suggest staff had ridden them to work, but several feet above my head.

I ordered a latte, large if possible. The waiter stared at my cockeyed. "Umm... Well, we just have the one size," he said, as if I had mistaken the place for a McDonald's. But bridges were built: "I can put it in a takeaway cup," he said. "It's slightly larger".

The takeaway cup was not appreciably larger. It left a bitter taste in my mouth - not the coffee itself, which was one of the best I have tasted - but that I had been tricked into using an environmentally destructive paper cup by the very same tribe of people who started the keep-cup trend.

The waiter knew I did not belong here. With a contemptuous sneer underneath his handlebar moustache, he plonked the cup in front of me, hard enough that a precious sliver of that delicious, $4.50-per-small-cup coffee leapt out of the lid mouth and splattered onto the minimalist wood tabletop. He was forcing me to embrace my wasteful, unwoke existence.

Really enjoyed the coffee.
RRRkkkk
Good coffee. And good recommendation of cold brew. Really a good place to enjoy some coffee and good services. Probably wait for some time for a cup of coffee but totally worth it.

Finally found the time to drop by Seven Seeds recently; renowned for their coffee in particular, my partner was especially excited to try this place out. It’s a large industrial space, and service was ok. For drinks I ordered the strawberry shake, while my partner had a flat white and filter. The shake had rosewater in it but the taste of it was much more overwhelming than I had expected it to be... I’d expected maybe a drop or two for the fragrance but it felt like I was drinking perfume or a skincare product... the coffees were also unfortunately not to my coffee-loving partner’s taste. Not to say it was “bad” exactly, but more likely the beans were not the right fit for his palate. For food I ordered the mushrooms while my partner had the popular beef brisket hash. The mushrooms were pretty good- the dish was flavourful and fresh, and the addition of the toasted granola added an interesting texture. The hash however was quite disappointing; it was pretty bland and didn’t seem well balanced or flavourful. Nothing stood out. Overall it was a pretty average experience.
Winnie.de.nie
A classic Melbournian brunch spot. Pleasant staff and good coffee. Nothing too fancy. Simple and delectable brunch dishes. An all time favourite. Only downside is that they don’t have high chair for children.
Nalia
3.5. I probably had slightly higher expectations considering the reviews and ratings, but it was overall a good brunch/lunch place without being spectacular. We arrived for a late lunch so fortunately there was no wait. The venue is nice with an industrial feel and the service is excellent. My soy chai latte was a bit weak, although the flat white was good. The eggs and waffle benedict was very nice. The ham pieces were a nice surprise underneath the perfectly-cooked eggs. The beef brisket dish was ok, I'm not sure the veggies complimented the brisket very well but the beef itself was lovely and well marinated. The portions are also a little smaller than at other brunch venues with similar price ranges.
