Delicious, juicy and crunchy chicken burger paired with crispy chips and salted caramel milkshake were great options to get from this place. Their service was quick and the staff was friendly. I’d definitely be back for more of the burgers 😋
Takeaway is probably a better options as there are not so many seatings and the wait could take very long. Plus, seatings are not so comfy.

8bit does a seriously good burger and have nailed the ratio of bun, burger, pickles, cheese, lettuce, onion and sauce. I could happily eat their burgers till the end of time. It’s a quick and friendly outing. Yuuuuum!

🍴 Double Dragon - two juicy beef patty’s. Soft bun that doesn’t become soggy. Zelda - is a nice burger but doesn’t compare to the double dragon. It does however beat other vegetarian burgers I’ve had elsewhere. Potato gems - what can I say? They’re potato gems and fulfil your expectation. A nice side to complement the meal.

I am a fan of juicy and meaty burgers and that is exactly what 8 bit serves. I was walking on CBD streets and was craving for a burger and went into this place. I have been here a couple of times earlier as well and never been disappointed.
They have got a really good theme in their interior which makes it look like a burger place from all the angles. The menu is small which makes it easy to decide what to order. After placing the order you take a seat and the food is served where you are sitting. They also have a bar like sitting arrangement on the counter when you can have a sneak peek into the kitchen.
Now the Burgers. They are amazing. They have everything that you look for in a burger. I had the after burner and it had Juicy, meaty and flavorful patty, Soft burger bun and the right combination of sauces. Every bite that I took of the burger was better than the last bite that I took. When I finished it I actually wanted to have more.
I also had the onion rings, which were a bit of disappointment, The onions were really really thick and the batter on them was really thick as well and because of that, they were really greasy.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this place if you are in a mood for a nice burger.

Altered Beast - The bun is soft and nicely toasted. The bacon is cooked soft (and not crisp) and the beef patty was nice and juicy.

Great burgers. Like most things you get what you pay for so don't expect generic chain store pricing. To me the quality of product is easily worth the little extra cost.
If you're in the mood for a good meal for lunch then come to 8bit. This restaurant is famous for fast food. A bit pricey but the quality is superb, probably the best in Melbourne. Bacon and cheese loaded fries were awesome!! Try it if you are around 231 Swanston St.
Lovely main street American style burger joint.
Great location, however the seating leaves a lot to be desired, it's not the most comfy, I might lean more towards takeaway here.
Loaded fries are a must have, it sounds like it'll be over powering but it ends up as a good balance.

Wonderful rustic burgers. The burger was in a perfect bite size. Tried the Alternate Beast and 8Bit original with sides of Sweet Potato and normal chips. Love the toasted buns as it added extra crisp in each bite. Love the outermost part of the patty as it was dry and roasted. The bun was soft and sweet. Tasted pretty nice. A nice burger meal overall.
Visited before the shutdown and can’t wait to eat their burgers again! The burgers tasted super great, one of my favourite burgers in Melbourne. It was served fast and perfect size to hold and bite. The table and chairs could be more comfortable though! The staffs were friendly, and it’s easy to find, given its location of being in the middle of CBD.
This has become one of the top burger place on my list. I love the simple and yet delicious burgers. Very similar to those famous burger franchise in US. Juicy and tender beef patty, fresh tomatoes and onions and those melted cheese. YUMS!
Great burger (altered beast was the burger we ordered) & amazing fatal fury (hot dog). The fatal fury wasn’t as spicy as expected while the bun’s pretty soggy, but overall, I was pretty satisfied with it. Kinda hope it has more mustard tho. Staff members were efficient. No complaints for their helpful and hardworking staff members. It’s a good spot to have a greasy burger/hot dog when there are just some days you’ve got that craving.
A very retro and traditional burger shop! 8Bit has on of the best tasting burgers in town and with the Liven app ordering is easy, quick and affordable. The space does get a bit cramped at times and I definitely think a larger space would serve it well. Overall, I am always hungry for an 8Bit burger and I 100% recommend this fantastic place. I love it!
