Been here for lunch a few times - never disappointed! Seafood ramen is amazingly delicious and the noodles are next level! Definitely a go to for me!
For a quick ramen fix, I go to Little Ramen Bar. This place serves consistent authentic ramen and always long queue during peak lunch times.
đLOCATIONđ
Little Ramen Bar is situated on Little Bourke Street, right near the corner of Elizabeth Street, short walk from H&M/Bourke Street Mall. The place is quite small and is typical layout as you would see in Japan hence why the shop is called âLittle Ramen Barâ.
The queue does somewhat move fast itâs a place where you just eat and go as you cant really hang around too long to chat and you do get ushered by the staff once youâve finished your meal.
đSERVICEđ
Staff is super quick and prompt service. From ordering, to table service to clearing tables. They are well trained especially when it gets really busy.

đVERDICTđ
I normally order the classic ramen, as it tastes good.
The gyoza were good size and fried really nicely, however it was quite oily. It would have been ideal if they soaked some of the oil off first before serving.
My friendâs ramen was really nice too but she requested without egg as she didnât want to be too full.
The seaweed salad was average, nothing really special.
Ordered Chasu Tamago and some Kimchi. It was good and the serving was just right. A bit weirded out though by the smell of the ramen. The smell was a bit fishy once the ramen wasn't hot anymore.
Perfect little place for great Ramen! We had a small food feast with Edamame, dumplings, vegan ramen and a "normal" ramen and loved everything! Would absolutely go there again.
Staff was super friendly and helpful in making a decision.
Had the Tan Tan Men ramen after a couple of drinks in the city. Went for the extra spicy version with a couple of extra eggs. The spice level was just perfect if you are a chilli lover. Service was quick and the place is small but they'll try and seat you quickly. Some veggies in the ramen would have improved the taste and there really wasn't too much pork to talk of. Edemame was delicious. Total bill was $27 which is on the costlier end for ramen. Also this place closes too early on a Friday night if you are looking for an after drink meal.
Came in by myself on a cold, rainy day perfect for ramen. Staff friendly and made me feel comfortable. I ordered the ramen with egg and it was good and just what I needed, paired with an asahi. The broth was nice but not to die for, maybe I'll try the soy rather than the miso next time. Also think there could be more veggies included.
Deserves a 4.0 or 4.5 out of 5, but they get extra props for NOT focusing on tonkotsu broth. Best miso ramen outside of Misoya on Sydney Rd, Brunswick East.
I ordered the âSpecial Miso Ramenâ, which included the requisite chashu, bamboo shoots, and spring onion, but included corn and a cube of butter. Fantastic.
I also like that it was served a bit spicy by default. Nice.
Delicious ramen but meat serving is very small. Could have been perfect with more meat in soup. Nice staff, small seating area, feels tight sitting close to strangers.
I've been here a few times whenever I need a quick ramen fix. It's a bit cramped - but nothing surprising because it's called LITTLE ramen bar. (the clue is in the title!)Â
As for the ramen, people are very passionate about their ramen - what I will say is that I like this ramen, hearty broth, decent servings. Lots of varieties - including a vegan one if you're that way inclined! There's always a decent number of people here at any one time which has to speak to its popularity. I'll let the ramen 'experts' argue amongst themselves where is the best ramen, I'll just eat this tasty ramen in the meanwhile....
A good place for ramen and beer. Ramen is chewy and well cooked. Broth was flavorsome and not to salty. Meat was tender and tasty. My favorite was the soft boiled egg in Ramen. Donât forget to order your 2 for $10 Sapporo with Ramen!
My boyfriend used to be a big loyal fan of Little Ramen Bar since they were at their old location, but this is our first time trying out this location after they've moved. It was delicious, but not as good as remembered. Don't get us wrong, it's not bad--it's still delicious, but just not like how it was back then. Love that the shop is much bigger now, and there are both counter and table options to be seated in.
Little Ramen Bar offers, as its name suggests, a variety of beverage options as well as different styles of Ramen and other Japanese style nibbles. After relocation to Lt Collins St, it became more spacious, yet the friendly and fast service has not changed. Highly recommended for a quick bite/drink.
Got the signature pork broth which was full of flavour and plenty of toppings, the soup was heart warming and the pork was tender. The gyoza were really juicy and also packed flavour. There is a nice vibe inside the restaurant and amazing customer service.

I haven't had ramen out in a long while. So in my opinion Little Ramen Bar is pretty tasty. Its a pretty spacious ramen place, has lovely atmosphere. I do like that you can order via phone, makes a little easier especially when you have a hard time picking what you want to eat.
I chose a vegetarian style shoyu ramen with extra eggs, hard style noodles. I had moderate spicy but to be honest didn't feel spicy but that okay! The bowls a pretty sizable like most ramen places. The ramen selection is fairly small but very customisable to a degree.
The food came out quick and the employees were very lovely and attentive. The price for the ramen is pretty fair.
Overall i enjoyed this place!
Little Ramen Bar Little Collins St is new. They relocate from Little Bourke St store. It's alot bigger and has a bar top area. The entire menu is the same as before. You place the order by scanning the QR code on the table. Ramen is average. But location is very convenient for city worker. Recommended for a quick lunch with colleagues or by yourself.
Oishii!! Very tasty clean food. Handmade gyoza, wok fried rice with chashu, delicious ramen perfect for the cold weather - and add the Sapporo on tap. Have lived in Japan and Little Ramen âwith a bit of a twistâ satisfied me. ăăă¨ăăăăăžă
