For appetizer, we tried the bruschetta. it's yum, so fresh. the bread was perfect. not too crispy. nor soggy. For main, I ordered Penne Alfredo and my friend had Gnocchi Alla Sorrentino. Both were tasty. The service was swift. Might have another visit to taste their dessert.
The food was pretty decent. We got two appetisers, a trio of dips and a calamari fritti, both were excellent. I ordered the special pasta linguini calabrese, packed with plenty of prawns and what seemed like a mountain of chorizo, excellent! My father was with me and he ordered the linguini and meatballs which he said was really good. The service was amazing, the waitresses attentive and pleasant to deal with.
Very traditional setting, with plenty of pictures, and posters from shows that have had runs at the Princess Theatre just around the corner.

What a blast from my past coming here after many years of dining elsewhere. It has to have been in the late 70’s that I first came here and really it hasn’t changed much. Food and expectations change though but it was like slipping on an old pair of jeans. Atmosphere nice and easy. Service by staff good. Meals came out quickly and in good portion sizes. Had to have the carbonara. Nice flavours.
It’s also a great place to do some people watching of Bourke Street pedestrians. Wheelchair friendly. Pram and stroller accessible. Tram right out the front. Will return. Sorry it was so long between visits.
We hadn’t visited this place in ages and were pleasantly surprised at our meals as well as the service. I got the Linguine Puttanesca for main and the Chocolate Brownie for dessert. The pasta was exceptional. It was cooked perfectly and coated in a tasty sauce with bite. I honestly could’ve eaten another bowl full. When the brownie arrived it looked sparse on the plate but omg it was the best brownie I’ve ever had. Rich, gooey, with macadamia nuts inside for crunch and a coulis to balance the flavour. The service was also fab. They fast-tracked our orders as we had a show on and gave us a great experience. I couldn’t fault a thing. We’d love to come back and see if Spaghetti Tree exceeds our expectations again.
I was very happy with the food and service
My daughter is vegetarian so asked for the parmesan cheese to be omitted and it was no problem for them at all. Surprisingly not very busy for a Sunday night at 6pm. Delicious fresh prawns in the Garlic Prawn dish.
Went here on the weekend & were greeted by friendly stuff. Our waiter that night was really nice & helpful! I got the fettuccine carbonara & garlic bread to share. The food came out really fast & was good. I think the carbonara was a little dry though but still was good. I really liked the look of the restaurant especially the lanterns.
Went to dinner with a friend before the theater. Service was great and quick, first question asked by staff was 'are you attending the theater tonight? '. We both ordered the same Garlic Bread, Lamb Back Strap and Berry Pannacotta. The entire meal was fabulous, lamb cooked to how we both wanted it (rare to medium & medium to well). All up a wonderful meal, have been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal.
Tried here for the first time with family and absolutely loved it! Atmosphere is great vintage movie star feel with an elderly man playing a accordion and also the organ. Meals were great family were impressed. The little boy in our party was spoilt by the staff with soft drinks and bowls of ice cream. Staff were very attentive and extremely helpful with a guest who had allergies. Would highly recommend for families and look forward to returning soon.
Very convenient location with good ambience. Food is not something u feel WOW about. We ordered potato wedges with some pesto gnocchi which turned out to be decent but not quite as the hype we had expected for the price that is paid for it. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Exceptional service and food. Catering for those in a hurry heading to the Theatre or movies or those just lingering longer. In and out in 45 minutes.
Spaghetti Tree is a slightly quirky Italian restaurant filled with knick knacks, photos and other bits 'n pieces to give the place a really interesting look and atmosphere. Our main meals were good but the sticky date pudding was the highlight for me, really delicious. Service was excellent with a very friendly and efficient waitress looking after us. I'd be happy to return here.
it was a late night after seeing candle light show at Fed square, that show was awesome. after that we weren’t so hungry but wanna have a drink, we picked the spaghetti tree, they have the most amazing h interiors i have ever seen, they are vintage, the lantern hanging on the ceiling, pianist playing . we had polenta chips and wedges.
so good to relaxing here
It’s a nice experience having dinner here. The restaurant looks so nice with the vintage portrait displays and the live music. Cool venue, attentive staff, and the main thing is the food is amazing, and the dessert is incredible!
Must try!
It was an amazing experience having dinner at this place. The waiters were very accommodating and friendly. The hot chocolate with marshmallow is must to have on a cold evening. We ate a vegetarian sauce version of Pasta Al Primavera and Bruschetta which were delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Such a cool restaurant! Very unique, loved the vintage feel. The pasta was quite average but delicious nonetheless. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Lovely restaurant. My friend was craving for some pasta and was recommended this by Google maps 😂. The pasta was amazing. We almost had seconds. The bruschetta was so fresh and refreshing. The waitress who waited our table was very friendly as well. Good service. Price wise - AUD 20-30plus for a plate of pasta, bruschetta was about AUD 5 a piece)
