Had cravings for Mussels and found this quaint French bistro in the heart of Hawthorn and it was absolutely amazing. Had the ones with white wine and cream and I can attest that I enjoyed every single bite. You know the food is good when you call for dessert and that was exactly what we did. Made my night and would definitely come here again.
It’s good. I’ve only recently discovered this restaurant in my backyard. I rate the scotch fillet as one of the better steaks I’ve had in a long time. Great seasoning and flavour. Great terrine too. Even serve a red wine from the Luberon which impressed me.
Great French food, try the scallops AND have a go at the snails. They are really well done. Not rubbery, but smooth and delightful to taste. At last something different in the Junction!
The snails are delicious and weren’t over done and rubbery like some places. The duck was cooked beautifully and went very nicely with a Shiraz
Amazing! Great restaurant with such friendly staff. The food was delicious and fresh. The selection of 4 petit desserts was to die for. Greta atmosphere, highly recommend! We will be back!

Really delicious French bistro meal. It's nice to see some Belgian specialities on the menu alongside French classics as well as a specials board. Lovely restaurant service and ambience, it is lively but not loud. Michelle was an amazing waitress and gave us great explanations and recommendations.
We ordered the escargots, prawn croquettes, mussels in white wine, duck breast with cherry, eye fillet with pepper sauce, carbonnade beef stew, French peas, and dessert platter.
All the food was great. We had a lot of trouble choosing dishes since everything sounded good! The steak was our favourite. Eye fillet cooked to perfection and a fantastic pepper sauce as recommended. We think that Michelle's recommendation for blue cheese mussels would've been better than white wine so will go for that next time.
We were glad to see the dessert platter option. Our favourite was the profiterole which isn't actually on the full menu, though there was a Paris Brest special. Hopefully this was make its way on the menu soon.
I have family in Belgium and have spent a lot of time there. I can attest to the authenticity of this restaurant in decor, atmosphere and menu. The food is excellent and the portions generous. I had the best steak I have had in Australia there recently.
I was very impressed. The scallops were amazing and the tarte tartin was the best I’ve ever had. Excellent service as well and a good wine list. I will definitely be back!
Simply AMAZING!… food not only delicious but with an indescriptible French flavour. LOVED the onion soup and the duck breast.
The menu is full of amazing options. You need to come and try it yourself!!!!

Been here a few times and the food is consistently good.
We enjoyed the scallops and foie gras for starters on recommendation of our waitress. Both were first class.
For mains it was medium rare eye fillet with a bernaise sauce. Superb.
Also ordered the lamb blackstrap. There was a good debate about which meat was most tender the eye fillet or the blackstrap. Both were first class.
Some shoestring fries and greens on the side completes a perfect dinner.
Enjoyed a couple of bottles of French Cabernet Franc.
Service was excellent start to finish.
Highly recommended.
had an outstanding dinner here couple of days ago. mussels au bleu was ridiculously delicious and we ended up mopping up the sauce with frites and bread. escargot not dissimilar to my favourite france-soir, good. scallops in leek butter full of flavour and a must order. foie gras and onion soup were both pretty good. tartare was good, but felt it needed a hit of spice a la FS. pork of the day was mind blowing. ribeye was ok. finished off with an outstanding tarte tatin.
Excellent French Flemish cuisine. 😋👌
