We come here wherever we are around Southbank as our "go to" dessert and coffee place. Know the two owners as they used to run a café in Watergardens. They are wonderful ladies, friendly and know how to run a business... coffees are great and their desserts..... what can I say.... are to die for!! Check it out...
If you are ever looking for a dessert destination in this city this is worth finding. Their desserts, hot chocolates and cakes are delicious. The staff are also friendly and will go out of their way to ensure your experience is great!
Beautiful little cafe , great for an afternoon tea. Great range of savoury and sweet crepes and deserts, fine chocolates and waffles. So many choices. We had the scones which were very warm and fresh with some tea.
Just a perfect stop in the afternoon.
Good Sugar overload .....
Super friendly, pleasant, attentive service ++ thank you ladies.
Plenty of "quite refined", "grown-up" Sugar offering to tickle anyone's fancy 😁
Great afternoon with their tasting platter, sparkling, hot chocolate and French Earl Grey.
Enjoy .... JT-24/08/2017.
We dined here late on a Saturday night and service was good. We enjoyed the sticky date pudding and the chocolate fondant. Both dishes were sweet without being sickly. Ice cream that accompanied the cakes were yummy too. We will come back here to try the desserts in a glass... they looked amazing.
Tried this place for the first time , the waffle with berries , ice cream and Irish cream was pretty good, milkshake was not that special. The menu covers range of taste for desert but I guess it has a big competition having Lindt on lower ground floor. Will come again to try other deserts they've got.
Decadent desserts on display and a whopping menu, this is the spot for all sweet lovers. We stopped by post dinner for coffee and treats and were promptly seated. Staff were very patient, happy to answer our questions and read through all the flavours of macarons. We only had coffees, teas and macarons which everyone enjoyed. Would definitely recommend for treats to go or for dessert after you've eaten your fill along Southbank.
Good value with a Scoopon, maybe a little low on variety. Cheaper than other high teas we've had, no hot savories. Sandwiches served 1st, then 2 tier trays with 1 scone each, plus a few sweets. Quality & presentation good. My one issue was drinks. Our package came with a glass of moscato each. We had 2 children with us, and the only alternatives offered were tea or coffee. We ended up paying extra $4 each for a lemonade, which was strange seeing we had forgone 2 moscatos menu priced @ $9 each.
I was all over this place the minute it opened a year or so ago. A dessert bar with a twenty page menu? I have found the one for me. Salted caramel cocktails? Can I move in? The only thing to sour my sweet experience was the waitress who kept referring to me as sweetie pie. I'm pushing thirty people and there's nothing sweet about me. Living a five minute walk away I've done well to try and restrict myself from visiting daily as there is just so much to try. One of my favourites is velvety red which is from the 'desserts in a glass' section of the menu which follows on to crepes, waffles, sundaes and fondues. The chocolate fondant is the least preferred item I've tried, the salted caramel ice cream with it was a match made in heaven but the cake was dry and lacked the fudgey gooeyness expected of a molten cake. A brilliantly decadent addition to our wonderful city of Melbourne
Desserts were sweet and rich but it was so lovely. Had their iced peach tea - it was refreshing especially on a hot day. Nice atmosphere, and really lovely customer service.
Updated Review - also tried the Raspberry and Rose High Tea. It was a lovely experience, service was great, but it was not the best high tea I have been to. I quite enjoyed the rose flavoured tea and Lavender macaron.

You really need to be in the mood for something super sweet when you come here. Service is excellent and lots of dessert choices from cakes, waffles, crepes, sundaes, macaroons and chocolates. It's quite pricey but they have recently had some specials on Scoopon that have been super popular and you really need to book. We tried the Scoopon $29 dessert platter for two. This consisted of a choice of 4 crepes, chocolate covered strawberries and a milkshake, tea or coffee. I had the salted caramel and banana crepe with salted caramel icecream. It was delicious but very rich. I also had the mint milkshake which was tasty. My partner had the chocolate and strawberry crepe but he wasn't overly impressed. They also have savoury options and high tea experiences. We will be trying the high tea next!
I had my baby shower here and everything was perfect. The staff were all lovely and all the guests had so much fun. We had 10 kids and they loved loved the high tea.
So happy to chance upon this light-filled n airy place for brunch at Southgate! Had a late snooze till noon at travelodge and was pleasantly surprised to find this beautiful cafe so near us with an All-Day brunch menu! We ordered the smoked salmon pancakes (that was changed to crepes as they ran out) and the smashed avocado, which was both a delight to the tastebuds. Fresh smoked salmon that wasnt overly salty, paired with refreshing lemon dill cream and delicate light crepes, yum! The cherry tomatoes on the smashed avo was deliciously sweet, love the poached eggs n buttered sourdough.
*only thing was there were lemon juice already squeezed on the smashed avo and some of the lemon seeds were hidden within, which I accidentally bit on and had an unpleasant bitter taste, and swallowed on another while eating the avo. Sourdough toast was very lovely, but would have liked a thicker or bigger size, it seems halved or pressed till down very thin. Other than that love the tasty brunch :)
We had hightea at Damon Bradley's..It was a wonderful experience for the whole family. Beautifully presented and wonderful customer service. Highly recommend.
Absolutely perfect brunch! I organised a special stay in the city with my Mum and was looking for somewhere special to have a nice brunch the next day. Not a lot was open but we accidentally stumbled upon this place. It was perfect as we had a wonderful time. It’s a gorgeous setting, very friendly service and amazing food. Will definitely be back. Thank you.
