Review Cento Mani - Melbourne

Gordon Anderson
Great little cafe I had breakfast there twice during my stay in Melbourne the cafe is very clean and friendly staff and so polite. The coffee is the best I can find in the CBD (I have tried many) but I am a fan of Campos coffee sad there isn’t more of it in Melbourne you guys are really missing out.

The coffee is amazing. The arepas are so tasty. The people are friendly and welcoming. Definitely a hidden gem in Melbourne for anyone looking for breakfast or lunch. Get on it!

Best brownie of my life and our first arepa. Beautifully presented delicious food and coffee too!

I have been visited Cento Mani since 2018, I love this place because it connects to me with my home country, the food is amazing and the staff very friendly.

I went there for lunch and had a chicken Aioli sandwich for takeaway. First of all the size of the sandwich was big and I loved it. It was toasted and was crispy on the outside. The chicken filling in the sandwich had a really nice flavor and overall texture of the sandwich was awesome. I really enjoyed the sandwich and will surely go back for more.

Stumbling across this little slice of Colombia was a dream come true. Just a short walk up from Flinders Street/Federation Square this little shop is bursting with character and incredible food. Taking in the theme of the cafe we enjoyed a breakfast of freshly made erepa’s served by the very lovely and accommodating staff. All in all if you feel the need for something different, fun and refreshing this is the place to be!

So happy to see another Columbian cafe in Melbourne's multi-cultural gastronomy scene. We had a little spot on the mezzanine level to watch the traffic on the street and at the cafe entrance. The weekend menu has a smaller selection than the normal offers. I love unusual food and drink so can't wait for my orders to arrive. The agua panela (sugar cane drink) with cheese was as fascinating as it was delicious. The warm, sweet sugarcane juice was made slightly salty by the melting cheese. We all chose arepas (corn bread) with different toppings. Mine was filled with cheese and came with scrambled eggs, bacon, sauteed mushrooms and baby spinach. The combination was scrumptious but also very filling. One of my friends had just scrambled eggs and mushroom on the plain arepa. Without some sort of accompanying sauce, this was really dry and bland for her. A third friend chose one with a sauce and commented on how tasty hers was. This tiny, cozy cafe serves quite a few well-known Colombian dishes and drinks. Friendly staff, quick turn around by the kitchen and some appalling looking pastries in the front cabinet make revisits likely.

It is a small place but inside you will fine greatness on all details. The food takes you on a tour of flavors in Colombia and the service couldn't be better. I have been there with friends and family always with great experiences. Last time I had a vegetarian brunch (sorry, I forgot the name of the dish), which I recommend.

The cheese arepas are the best! The sancocho was delicious; the creamy soup with the piquancy of the salsa on top. And the hot chocolate is so good! Cheese arepas and hot chocolate are comfort food at it's best....food for the soul.
Lina Mendoza
Fabulous! I highly recommend the empanadas for a small and tasty snack.

I had the roast-beef sandwich and it was really good! Coffee is great too and the staff is amazingly nice! Next time I'll try the traditional Colombian dish they offer!

Definitely a place not to be missed! Highly recommended for those who are craving the real Colombian flavor just like home

My Rating: 3.5

I’ve never eaten Columbian food before and had no idea there’s a small café in the city that served it, so my friend and I decided to come here for lunch.

🔆LOCATION🔆

Cento Mani Café is situated on the corner of Flinders Street and Oliver Lane, opposite to The Ian Potter Centre, Fed Square.
It’s a cute little café with split level area for seating. They not only serve Columbian food, but also pastries, muffins and a lot of different drink options too.

🔆SERVICE🔆

Service was friendly and food was served very promptly. As we were unfamiliar with what to order, the waitress was patient in giving us some guidance and recommendations.I noticed quite a lot of people coming in to buy take away coffee.

🔆MENU/PRICE🔆

Bandeja Paisa, $25.00
(Columbian most famous beans, served with pork belly, chorizo, minced beef, hogao, fried egg, rice, avocado, ripe platain and grilled arepa)

BBQ Pulled Pork Arepa, $16.00
(Columbian grilled white corn arepa, filled with BBQ pulled pork, coleslaw salad, pickled onion & sliced jalapenos)

🔆VERDICT🔆

I ordered the Bandejo Paiso which apparently is quite popular and also very traditional Columbian food for brunch. Thought I might as well give it a go. Perhaps its my taste buds but I found the whole combination to be a little odd and actually very heavy with too much meat. The beans was okay, nothing to really rave about. The pork belly was very dry and crispy, it was rather difficult to eat. The grilled arepa didn’t really have much flavour to it. The fried egg was cooked nicely. It was odd to have cooked mashed banana on the plate and I don’t think I actually got any hagao (Columbian tomato dipping sauce). There was also half an avocado as well. It was definitely a very filling dish but I didn’t really enjoy the meal.My friend’s BBQ Pulled Pork arepa looked like a large bao – with the meat filled in between 2 arepa’s. The pulled pork was very tender and tasty, but she also said that it wasn’t something she would want to order again as it was a little odd the flavours.

Best arepa un town! Perfect for a nice and different breakfast. Friendly staff comfortable small spot.

Love the quiet, cosy ambience. However the service was a let-down :(. Part of my dish was forgotten, the waiter replaced it without a word then charged $3 extra upon paying. The food was okay tho I wouldn’t return.

3.5. Rare Colombian cuisine as they use arepa as bread. Interesting corn cake taste and really tasty.

Got this for breakfast as I walk past it on the way to work. The two crispy corn pieces acted like bread to hold the egg, bacon, mushroom and cheese inside.

A cute little spot near flinders st for columbian breakfast and other cafe food options! The service was great, efficient and staff were friendly. A busy spot for the business and working people to grab a coffee and go. Nice ambience too. Would love to come back to try columbian hot chocolate!
The cheese arepa was delicious, and so was the sweet pancakes covered with feta and blueberries! Decent portions but a bit overpriced.

Not a horrible place, yet not that good either. I have visited a few times and the names of dishes seem to be more interesting than that food itself. Staff are friendly and coffee is good, yet the breakfast and lunch are both very average for the price and often bland. EG: My friend got eggs there and they were sweet (What the...??). Also, many traditional dishes are boring and unimaginative - eg: cazuela, bandeja paisa and others, which might say more of the choice of dishes offered than the actual restaurant itself.

10 years ago, it would have been neigh impossible to find any Latino cafes in the cbd, but nowadays there are a few around. Came past for a late lunch and the menu had dwindled slightly but settled on a bbq pulled pork arepa and arequipe with cheese. The arepa was styled like a sandwich but had two pieces of corn flatbread to hold it together. The corn flatbread was quite hard and didn’t taste overly of cornflour (like other Latino dishes I’ve had). The pulled pork was fairly bland and had 0 spice to it. The dish was really well presented though, but I think that $15 a shot is fairly ambitious for what is essentially a small sandwich - although Colombian style. Really enjoyed the arequipe dulce le leche although this was also a fairly small dish at $8. The sauce really made it and the cheese had an interesting texture although it seemed to be far from ‘fresh mozzarella’. Overall it was a good feed and I’d be willing to give this place another try, if only to try some more Colombian dishes.

What a lovely little cafe. Very friendly staffs, excellent coffee and the food.... Very homely feel and very satisfying. Think I'm falling in love with this place.

Cento mani is a cosy hole in the wall cafe which is situated on Flinders street. I went there with my Colombian friend who insisted we try this place and my oh my i loved the hearty food bowls they served. We had two dishes
1. BANDEJO PAISA 😍😍😍😍
2. COLOMBIAN AJIACO 🍜❤
Their service was quick and the food tasted very authentic. According to my friend, their style of food is very close to what he eats in Colombia. Which is a bonus for me try a non englishized version of food in Melbourne. Thank you Cento Mani for having us and making our lunch an amazing one 🙌🙌

First time trying Colombian food, so didn’t know what to expect. Dropped by for Sunday brunch. Fun eclectically decorated cafe. Upstairs very tight seating area, so not the best spot for large groups.

Ordered the Colombian hot chocolate and cheese. Never tried the combination before. Small squares of cheese (mozzarella) are dropped into frothy hot chocolate, allowing it melt into soft stringy pieces. While I enjoyed the texture of the melty ball of cheese. Think this may be an acquired taste. Glad I tried it but despite my love of chocolate and cheese, think I would prefer them to be separate.

Also tried the vegetarian Arepa and Pandebono. The Arepa was lovely, well presented and had a distinct texture, paired with flavorful corn, tomato salsa and avocados.

Pandebono cheesy flavor was tasty, had a similar heavy texture to the arepa but sadly was cold inside. Can imagine it would have been great if it was warmed throughout - especially for a winter‘s day.

Overall good first Colombian cuisine experience. Can’t comment on authenticity, but would consider visiting again for their Arepas.

Interesting cafe. I had the one with just cheese inside (can't remember the name). I wanted something small and simple, it tasted pretty good. However my pee smelled really bad for the rest of the day.

A Colombian feast! We came here to try Colombian food for the first time and we absolutely loved it!

Full of flavour and presented so beautifully!

Our top picks are the 'Bandeja Paisa', the soupy 'Sancocho' and 'El Arequipe' or also known as Dulce De Leche for dessert. 😍😍

The staff at Cento Mani are incredibly lovely and take the time to explain all the ingredients and rich history that surrounds each dish.

We DEFINITELY recommend. I'm still thinking about the Sancocho.... mmmm delicious. Look at all the lovely dishes in our photos!!

My second taste of South American food, was not disappointed. This place is in such a space that if you walk near you'' easily go straight past it, which I had done many times before. I had Scrambled Eggs on a cheese Arepa with mushrooms, Avocado and tomatoes. It was so delicious but also pretty light on the stomach but filling none the less. The price is a wee bit high, however to try some South American food I'd say it's worth it, plus the coffee is great as expected. Plus they have an EatClub deal so I did get a good discount anyway.
Melbourne Food Journey
This place was overflowing with customers when we arrived. It took a very long time to get the attention of the staff to get a table. The cafe dining area is tiny with only a few tables. The cafe was also very hot as it doesn’t have air conditioning. We ordered our food and waited a while. The sugarcane lemonade was weak on sugarcane flavour. The coconut lemonade was okay. We got a few different cheese arepa dishes and found the cheese arepas were very dense and heavy. Scrambled eggs was a bit too much with these. Also the kitchen and wait staff stuffed up our order so there was some confusion from them about that although they did apologise and fix it in the end. All in all, I don’t think I will return. They seemed very busy with takeaway coffee orders so maybe that is good, but that’s not enough for me to return.

Cento Mani, a columbian cafe which serves a mix of traditional columbian dishes and standard Melbourne-style brunch/lunch fare.

Came here one morning as we saw an EatClub deal, the coffee here was probably strong to start with but we asked for an extra shot and was greeted with a super strong coffee.. we tried the Traditional Columbian Arepa & cheese ball, both were pretty good.. worth the short walk up flinders street...
Would define come back to try some of their other food options especially those lunch menu..

Authentic Colombian food, small size but good value and interesting to try different dishes for brunch. It's a very small cafe but cosy and great service!
Cute place with a good atmosphere. Coffee was very strong and had a lot of flavour. I’d love to return to try the food. Only minus was that the barista wrote with red pen on the coffee lid and I got red on my nose lol

I’ve been meaning to try this café for a while after reading good reviews here. I went there for lunch with a friend, a few days before Christmas. The place was pretty full. Staffs were lovely and very accommodating but I found the food was a bit underwhelming. I had the traditional arepa with scrambled eggs, bacon and mushrooms. The arepa itself was delicious but the topping was a bit dry for my liking. I felt like it was lacking some kind of sauce. I don’t know if that’s how authentic Colombian breakfast is served. Maybe it is. That was my first try of Colombian food. Apart from that, service was good, price point was reasonable. Seating arrangement inside is a bit squashy though.

Good coffee, friendly staff, and the best pandebono! Ordered the traditional arepa with bacon, cheese, egg, mushroom etc. First time I've tried this wedged in two pieces of grilled white corn arepa. They had been pan-fried and filled with mozzarella which gave it a good cheese stretch when pulled apart. These were delicious and a staple for Colombians. Accompanying were familiar breakfast items, scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms, and spinach. It's all about the, however. I will definitely be back!

Cento Mani is a borrowed Italian name from the previous owners, now Colombian cafe. The space is smaller than I anticipated and we sat on some tight counter seats facing outwards. Do a little search on Colombian restaurants in Melbourne and you'll find them in scarce supply.

I order a latte which was forgotten and left on a bench in a takeaway cup. The order was misread, they were happy to remake it but I didn't want to be wasteful. Coffee was a bit on the watery side and weak.

I got their traditional Colombian arepa, anything arepa was recommended by the staff. They had been pan fried and filled with mozzarella which gave it a good cheese stretch when pulled apart. These were delicious and a staple for Colombians. Accompanying were familiar breakfast items, scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms and spinach. It's all about the arepa however.

Their soup looked absolutely delightful as we watched the staff bring bowl after bowl after bowl to customers. Next time. They've done a good job keeping most of the items as authentic as possible but at the same time trying to cater to the Melbourne audience (a chai latte here, a NY bagel there).

Amazing typical Colombian food with a perfect flavour that makes me feel in Colombia. The attention is really good and the location is convenient for everyone.

I recommend bandeja paisa for me is the best one!

I went to this place last weekend because one Colombian friend recommends me and I really like the food and also the service, their juices are amazing!

I went last Friday because a friend from Colombia recommended it. The food is really good and also the service. It is a perfect option to have a Colombian breakfast or lunch.

Thanks Cento Mani to bringing me back to the Colombian flavours!! Highly recommend, the best Colombian in Melbourne city. Also try its coffee, one of the best one in town

I visited this place today and had this delicious Arepa filled with chilli Chicken and other stuff. I loved it because it was freshly made and it was a bit crunchy too. Music was colombian (+1) bonus point, Staff was polite and served me with a colombian Smile.

For traveling a few times in Colombia ,a country I consider like my second country, and that I love over mine . I can tell you that,Cento Mani Café in Melbourne is just a place that reminds me so much about That great country (good people I ‘ve ever met, good food)
The staff is just the same, especially Kike, the epitome of the Colombian culture .Always nice, and willing to help.
Whether you just need to grab a proper coffee on the go,or to have a full Breakfast, this is just the place .
I also , recommend you to have lunch there to try the famous ‘Bandejapaisa’ (my favourite)or any other dish they have to offer.Always made with love,I’m sure.
That place is just my little Colombia in Melbourne .
Unfortunately I can’t recommend you to go for a dinner, because it’s closed (yeah,I know they have to rest)They deserve it

There is a place in Melbourne that I call "my beloved land", it's Cento Mani Café 💛💙❤. The staff's warmth, the aroma of Colombian coffee ☕ and the home-flavored food ... is what makes it unique, makes you feel like in Colombia. To all my friends who have not enjoyed Colombian flavors, I invite you to take that trip to Colombia without leaving Melbourne.

I was amazed by the concept of Cento Mani! Firstly, the strategic location allowed me to enjoy the café and the food almost every day during my holidays in Melbourne. As I am from Colombia, I felt as eating at home. The cosy atmosphere enhanced my experience when trying most of the plates of the menu. The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing! The flavours evoke the memories of when I eat in the traditional villages of Colombia. I just want to say that, in addition to a nice meal, we had a delightful waitress. Lovely breakfast and lunch. Food wonderful, service great. Never hesitate to eat or have a coffee here! 

Excelente servicio. Comida deliciosa, me sentí como en casa! La ubicación del restaurante es fenomenal, fácil de llegar en tren o en tram. Muy recomendado el calentando, las almojabanas y el café😍.

Amazing food, coffee and service. A beautiful restaurant located just in the heart of the city. A must go in Melbourne if you want to try Colombian food 🇨🇴
Crooked Rain
I've been meaning to try this place for a year, and I finally made it to lunch. As it was a cold day, I decided on the ajiaco, a Colombian chicken soup. It was hearty, tasted healthy, and had an interesting scent to it (I hear the ajiaco uses a special Colombian herb similar to oregano - hence the greenish colour). I quite enjoyed it! It felt like it was homemade by your Colombian grandma. Gracias por la comida deliciosa :)
P.S. the only comment I'll make is the corn cob in the soup - I had to fish it out and de-kernel it, then return to the soup. I guess that was the authentic way to serve it, but it was slightly laborious.

Good coffee, friendly staff, and the best pandebono!

Haven't had a chance to try out their menu but it looks exciting enough for a return visit (if not for the cheese bread alone). YUM

Amazing place with a very welcoming staff. I enjoyed so much of having a piece of Colombia in Melbourne. Coming from Venezuela you miss so much your food and in Cento Mani I found dishes that are pretty similar to ours, like arepas de Chocolo that are almost the same than Cachapas, and arepas de queso that are like our arepas just with a bit of cheese. Also the Latin music and staff speaking Spanish make you feel that you’re back home.
I will definitely be back 😋

3.5 ⭐️ Colombian breakkie sounds perfect on a cold winter day and so I popped over to Cento Mani to check them out.

I ordered a traditional Colombian arepa w bacon, scrambled eggs, mushroom, cheese. It was huge!! At first I wasn’t 100% sure about it because the Grilled white corn arepa felt quite hard when I was cutting through it. However, once I put it in my mouth I realized while the crust was hard, it was soft and fluffy inside- so yummy! 😋. The bacon adds the smoky saltiness and the egg was beautifully cooked.

They had these cheese bread thingy that was freshly baked when I walked in, but got sold out as I walked out, so I am definitely wanting to try those!

The staff were extremely friendly and service was great. So why did I give 3.5? The only reason why 0.5 is deducted is because I smell like oil when I walked out of the cafe. 😞

I went to try some colombian dishes and i found an amaizing place ! very warmy ... i felt in my Colombia! the food was very nice specially the Ajiaco ! very nice attention and good people ! will come back ! thanks

Amazing place the food it’s very delicious my favourite restaurant in Melbourne, I feel like in Colombia when it came to this place.
very good customer service the staff is very friendly

Centro Mani is an amazing Colombian restaurant just in the hear of Melbourne. Very friendly staff, excellent and fast service even though it was peak time. I strongly recommend the Ajiaco, a traditional Colombian chicken soup. By far the best one I have tried in Australia.
Natalia Tobon
I'm Colombian and have lived overseas for several years. I visited Cento Mani because of a friend, and I have to say that is the most real Colombian food I have seen outside of Colombia. The place is small, but the staff is smiling and make you feel comfortable and welcomed.
Trevor Johnston
Cento Mani is a small Columbian café with about 18 seats and friendly (mostly Columbian) staff that seems to have authentic cred’ out the wazoo.

We ordered the calentado and some arepas - the calentado was very good and definitely will be eating that again. The arepas were good too, although of mixed freshness – the freshly prepared ones were amazing but some were a little dry.

The coffee is good. Next time I will try the improbable sounding aguapanela (sugar cane tea) with mozzarella to see if I can work out why someone thought it was a good idea to put these two things together.
Angel Khong
Cento Mani Cafe offered authentic Colombian meals that were quite unique and delicious. We tried their hearty Calentao which was a mixed of beans, rice, egg and tomato, and the arepa side added a bit of crunch to the dish. The service, however, was horrendously slow. It was also very stuffy and smokey inside. Coffee was also not great. There were a lot to be improved.
Rigel
staff are rude. very bad experience, even don't want to taste their food, store is so small, staff let me seat in front of the toilet when upstairs is so empty.
Tigerlili
Any cafe that describes this as sautéed mushrooms and thinks that it’s acceptable to for this to actually reach the customers plate as it looked like it hasn’t even touched the pan, does not even deserve a 3.

> Eggs & Bacon Wrap- Wheat Tortilla filled with Creamy Scrambled Eggs, Mozzarella Cheese, Bacon and Spinach AND Cento Mani’s Chocolo Pancakes- A mix of berries between Chocolo's Arepas, made of sweet, tender corn in the shape of tortillas with a hint of ricotta cheese, sprinkled with coconut flakes and finished with a homemade syrup of aguardiente (the most traditional and authentic Colombian liquor) <

Cento Mani is a small little Colombian inspired café in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. They offer an extensive menu with a mix of Colombian and Australian dishes to satisfy all food cravings. As soon as you walk through the door you already feel like you are in Colombia. The staff are Colombian, and the décor is Colombian inspired.

These pancakes are very different and interesting. The flavour combination is nothing like I’ve ever tasted and I surprisingly really enjoyed the uniqueness of this dish. The pancakes were thin but extremely filling. They were a mix between sweet and savoury, with the berries being extremely sweet and the ricotta cheese being quite savoury. The syrup was quite sweet and melted everything together really nicely. Overall, I enjoyed this dish very much and couldn’t resist demolishing the entire meal alone!

The eggs and bacon dish was probably my favourite out of everything we tried. The flavours were so powerful and I could not resist going back for another bite! The eggs were cooked to perfection and the bacon was so smoky. The cheese helped combine these elements and added a really nice savoury flavour. Overall, this is not your typical eggs and bacon dish as it has a Colombian twist to it, but I would highly recommend trying this one if you have a big apetite!

Just visiting this café is a really incredible experience as they take you on a journey across the world back to their homeland to show you how they live in Colombia and give you a taste of the South American food. If you want to experience something more than just a typical Melbourne café, then you should definitely check this place out because you get more than just pretty food, you get an entire experience with amazing food.

The Breakfastpiggy Team
Piggies out, Oink oink
A Chronicle Of Gastronomy
It’s always exciting to explore new cuisines, especially when they involve discovering something new to eat for breakfast. Started up by Diego Reyes, Cento Mani was born out of a desire to bring an authentic Colombian experience to Melbourne. Cento Mani serves up breakfast and lunch, and a different menu on weekends. Filled arepas make an appearance and sandwiches during the week, and Saturdays and Sundays sees a few more traditional Colombian additions.
Jacques Kim Maeda
Very convenient place to stop by. Las arepas are the best! Or you may try the special of the day. The coffee is always good! The staff is amazing! Great service and food!
Munching Melbourne
Definitely a great stop by is your train is delayed or looking for a quick local bite if you're close to flinders street station. The owner Diego is passionate about bringing his traditional food from Colombia to the people of Melbourne. Each dish has great flavours and has meaning to Diego. Don't go past the cheesy arepas! Cosy seating with latin american music making the experience all the more authentic. We will be back for more cheese balls for sure!

Another week another train diverted to run direct to Flinders Street!!! Turned positive by the fact that I get to try a different spot for the breakfast coffee.

The first thing you will notice when you enter this café is the bright yellow coffee machine, it instantly makes you smile.

I was just popping in to grab a coffee on my way to work, but the pre made bagels and breakfasts looked appetizing. The coffee was delicious, I requested strong (double shot) it was great. I’m looking forward to returning and getting some food next time the next time Metro stuff up the trains again... it won’t be long

Have been meaning to come and try this place and have to say I'm soo delighted I finally got to eat their yummy and tasty food! We had the Chocolo Arepa, the Traditional Colombian Arepa and for drinks the Guandolo and Grape Postobon softdrink. Oh and also we bought to take away two amazingly cheesy and delicious Pandebonos! Highly recommended. Being Colombian myself this food took me back home. It was authentic with modern flavours. The service was excellent and I could tell everyone sitting around me was truly enjoying their meals making really positive comments! Will definitely be back and hopefully will have the specials of the day. They looked sooo tasty today.

I used to live on this stretch and didn't matter how many cafes they were around, this little one was my go to: a very good coffee, great atmosphere and layout, friendly waiters when you sit down, bringing a bit of Columbia back in Melbourne. I noticed that patrons tend to speak softer than in other high turnover places, making it actually possible to have a normal conversation in the mezzanine upstairs :) food is tasty as well, a mix of Columbia and Australian food to cater for everyone. Thank you for these morning delights Cento Mani 😊

Cento Mani brings Colombian breakfast to Melbourne. The Melbourne cafe scene is overflowing with new openings. The cascade of edible flowers and freakshakes have reached tipping point. Cento Mani’s selling point is succinct. Where else can you eat Colombian food in Melbourne, yet alone Colombian breakfast? In all honesty, I can’t recall the last time, I tried a completely new cuisine. My only encounter with Colombian culture, is a tall Colombian high school friend and the yelling Sophia Vergara. Previous encounters with South American cuisine, include such staples as: Arepas, Pupusas and Gorditas. Already a fan of South American food, delving into the specific regions, is a decision that excites the tastebuds. The sad thing is – it’s

I get my skinny latte from here everyday. These guys are warm and very welcoming. They also serve Columbian food, which I haven't tried yet but I intend to. See quite a few regulars and it's always buzzing.

First coffee stop in Melbourne. Gorgeous, snug and welcoming this cafe looked like somewhere you could sit most of the arvo with your coffee. And the coffee..? Delicious! Made to perfection. Creamy with the perfect strength. Yum

Came here for lunch on a Friday. The place wasn't overly busy which was good. Service was decent and everything was explained re the food. Had the pulled beef arepa and spicy chicken arepa. Both were good and I would definitely recommend getting two as one would not be enough.
Only down fall was when paying I said saving not Paypass. Small complaint yes but Paypass sucks donkey balls.

My wife and I had their huevos pericos with Arepa. It was really tasty and seasoned quite perfectly. The mix of balsamic vinegar and sugar and the saltiness of the scrambled eggs and cheese along with the sweetness of the arepa (sweet corn bread) just works well together.

Wonderful, hospitable service. Loved the bilingual dining experience. Explained exactly what ingredients were cooked on the menu and how they were prepared in their kitchen. Everything was cooked authentically and was reminiscent of what my partner had experienced whilst he lived in Columbia for a short period. Even down to the way in which the coffee was served (served with pieces of cheese for dipping it into your cup), was truly representative of the way things are done in Columbia. My arepa was delish and both vey filling. Perfect meals after a Sunday workout. Great to go in and practise your Spanish too with the friendly staff.

I go there every morning. Best coffee in town by far! How can you beat Colombian coffee though? Lovely service as well! Highly recommend it!

Cozy little café, great coffee and loose leaf tea. The sweet corn arepa and the white maize arepas were made beautifully, my smoked salmon sandwich was light and fresh.

They say they make everything with love! They sure do, love the coffee and the food. Try the new salad with the avocado dressing its Devine.

Consistently great coffee served up by some of the friendliest baristas around. I haven't eaten here but do get hunger pain whenever I read the special boards. Update: the little cheesy maize balls are friggin' delicious!

12 October 2017

Gosh I love this little place. The food is genuinely fascinating and really tasty. An eclectic blend of Colombian and Aussie dishes. I’ve eaten Colombian meals here several times and they’ve been rustic gems each time. Like, among the most interesting and tasty meals I’ve ever eaten on this planet. Simple but just oh so tasty and satisfying. I had lentils with chorizo and pork today served with rice. It was just superb. I’ve also has the bean stew before which was truly wonderful (see photo). Great selection of beans and meats and superbly flavoured and seasoned. A real delight accompanied with rice and avocado. Nice reasonable price too. It’s a clever little place they've made here. Fantastic use of space and nicely appointed. Mighty impressive coffee too. The staff have been brilliant as well whenever I’ve come here. Highly recommended.
