Consistently great food - have been going to this place for over 15 years now and it does not disappoint. My favourites are Singapore noodles - nice and spicy, mixed satay sticks are great also and the fish curry is absolutely fantastic.
George who owns the place and has been there for over 40 years is still doing well - keep up the great work George.

One of my go-to places for eating out with friends. Never kept waiting long, and food arrives piping hot to your table. Meals can be a little pricey but arrive in large portions, so splitting mains and ordering entrees is definitely a good idea. The satays are the best I've ever had, and this is coming from someone who usually can't stand the sauce. The barbecued pork entree, the Mongolian beef, and the sweet and sour pork are all highly recommended.

I would say its the worst food I've ever had in my entire life...
So the spring roll was cold inside; black bean beef was too fatty (acceptable compare to the other dishes) ;the carrots in mixed fried veggies tastes off(sour) ;the fried rice's egg was cold as well, after we complained, they took it back and didn't come out for ages, we were sort of relieved but next second the '' new'' one came out and nothing really changed.. And even the table soy source tastes foul... I don't even wanna give the 1 star TBH.

Busy bustling restaurant in Chinatown. An extensive menu as expected. Good prompt service. The banquet selection is a great sampler. Beverage menu is well priced. The satay skewers are excellent as is the Westlake Duck

Absolutely marvelous restaurant they went out of their way to accommodate our party of 13 people and the staff were so nice and helpful the food was magnificent and very reasonably priced. The satay chicken skewers were perfect and the satay sauce was beautiful. B.Y.O the best i have had in a very long time.

Usually i have been here and meals have been beautiful - last night i attended and could not eat my meal sweet n sour pork as it had a burnt taste and was dry n shrivel- i thought it must have been left overs from the night before. Dimsims were cold in middle - had to return them. Special fried rice was toasted and dry. Extremely dissapointed with thie venue. I will not be returning.

Went to Golden Orchids tonight in Chinatown and was very disappointed.
The entrees were nice however both of the mains were extremely greasey and bland and the meat was gristley and fatty. We ate about a third and could not continue.
We spoke to the waitress about the meal but she stated that the manager was away and there was nothing they could do. She also stated that ALL their customers leave satisfied- even though we continued to say that we were not.
Staff refused to take any $$ off the bill and asked us to take home the leftovers instead- HELL NO!!
Food and staff response left a bad taste in the mouth :(

Been here twice in a week for a banquet and its great food at a standout price. Even in the competitive Chinatown setup its a good and fair price. Sweet and sour anything is excellent. Highly recommended.
