At 535 Flinders Lane just off Spencer, we found a delightful Bakery Cafe for breakfast all day or delicious lunch, with excellent coffee and gracious, friendly staff. Hours are 6am to 4pm M-F, and 6am to 1pm on Sat, closed Sunday. We will be back!

The “Lau’s breakfast” was small and you could tell the sausages were made from especially low quality meat. The coffee was acceptable but you can do much better on Flinders Lane. One of the attractions is being open on Saturdays, but that does not compensate much. Avoid.

Had a great chicken salad here today. The chicken was moist and freshly grilled. The salad greens were nice and there was the perfect chicken to salad ratio!

When you wanna have breakfast menu as you lunch during the weekdays or when you wanna have a bit of everything from big breakfast but you can’t finish it all, you have lite breakfast which is half a size of big breakfast.
Split The Bill
I think this cafe is just ok, not your typical modern city cafe. Coffee is ok, I ordered an ice latte $5, coffee was strong, service is the same. As its tiny inside, there is a few tables outside.
The Dear Luncher
Humble, small little cafe on Flinders Lane. Coffee was a bit of a let down and burnt The Dear Luncher's tongue on the first sip. Also consumed was a bacon, egg and cheese bagel. The bagel was decent enough without blowing Your Dear Luncher's mind. Unfortunately for Leap's the coffee of nearby competitors is of a higher calibre. Still, $10 for a coffee and a bagel is decent value.

This place is a small cafe/bakery with decent coffee and opens early. We were staying around the corner at the Rialto and it was one of the only places open early on a Sunday morning at the business end of Collins Street. We also got a bacon and egg rolls that was served on turkish bread with tomato sauce. The eggs were well done and it was basic but was ok for a quick cheap takeaway.
The Swine
The Swine has attended this cafe for a number of years - it used to be a Degani cafe. Located at the Spencer St end of Flinders Lane the coffee at Leap's is reasonable - not amazing but not terrible. The place has quite a lot of regulars and is busy most mornings. It is tiny - with an added hole in the wall - but has a few street side tables. It also offers lunch and the Swine is a big fan of the Steak Sandwich here - with avo! This is greatness!! Staff are pleasant. All up, a bit of a secret retreat for workers who are down this end of town - better in nicer weather!
